All is well Brother. That was said to those who would read that and think God choose them because they were ignornant. The mind which is full of man's knowledge attempts to destroy every fiber of faith and this I know from experience. And it is with that notion of having a lack of man's kowledge, that God has chosen one, seeing that his spiritual self is, for the most part, still in tack.

Always, my Brother, keep me on my toes :)
Cee, I can't even comment on your 'notes,' they are DRIVEN, even with your seemingly less enthusiastic approach to post #17. But, the content? My, my, my . Christbro, it's evident as day is day and night is night, that what you write is from with Him within :)

! Corinthians 2 ? . On we go, as He leads you, great apostle, cee, 111111111111 ;)

Chapter two and the remaining chpaters will be posted in this same thread so that we do not have to go all over the place looking for the other chapters. I am still trying to figure out the best presentation and any suggestions is welcomed.

excellency of discourse or wisdom = To our shame, we, most posters, are guilty of this and by such, we cause division by our words most excellently chosen to show the fault of another. We set there and rejoice knowing that we got one up on another brother or sister. But, here we are playing gods because we are told to judge righteously. Even then, not even knowing what that means. But, nonetheless, we do not let that stop us in determining who will stand before God blamelessly and holy.

Do you hear me? At least know what you are talking about by studying before you make the Gospel look like a bunch of fools debating even the basic oracles of God. Let there be harmony in what you say, KNOWING THAT SCRIPTURE ALWAYS REMAINS TRUE TO ITS SELF. Don't force Scripture to agree to what you deem to be right, but in all honesty, go and search the written Word and in it, you will find the Truth. Do we not know that if we cause a little one to go astray, then we are no better than the enticers who pluck the stray sheep off the beaten path? Widely known, Paul could put pen to paper and belt out the vernacular, persuading those of wanted following with the best of them. How do you think Paul got to be a Roman authoritarian in charge of others? He was SMART, BOOK SMART , probably had a good education. Guessing blnow, but one can guess he was brought up from affluent parents that lent Saul (Paul) to great mentors that honed and waved and etched and stoned into Paul great learning, not just 'book' either but 'practical world understanding', too, as I would put it. The Lord leads my speech, this you should know by now, I always hope and pray. :)

So Paul was ALL the more respected by the Corinthians believers , this knowing Paul could speak his afgluency and excellent own speech but instead gave all glory for his words from his mouth to be what Christ spoke him was a great what too? Witness. Paul brought many to Christ by his faith seen to let the Lord lead the words from his mouth.

Wow! Green, you got all that out of a few verses? The Lord leads ;)

The wisdom of men is folly, Christ peeps. And, what did Paul say that He preached solely on, which was not his own oratory human understanding of preaching the gospel?

1) Christ.
2) Christ crucified

That was it ! Now, in that is a great much tinge learned, obviously, because all Truth did not stop at The Cross. God reveals to Paul much understanding of the 'Spirit' and the 'body' (of Christ) throughout the book of Corinthians. As we learned in chapter one, there was divisiveness in the body, rife from the Corinth church believing differing philosophies of Christianity, of Peter, of Apollos, of Paul. Church belief cliQues !
What did Paul say, humbling himself? Was Paul crucified?
Don't worship anyone but Christ is what was said and the way out of this division in the church, even some taking each other to court!, was FELLOWSHIP WITH Christ :)

Now, moving on, to verse 4, this is very powerful stuff, as Paul preached if the Holy Spirit power in Romans and now is LETTING these Corinth know that he is led by power and (Holy) Spirit.

Who's the 'power,' green?

God's power , verse 5 states. So, Paul is led by the Spirit and God's power, remember, peeps, there was NO Scripture, word of God bible back in these times of Paul in 1 st century A.D.

So, so far gathered, peeps, it is known that Paul's goal is to 'preach the gospel,' which he excitedly does, in all manner of the Spirit relied upon We just learned (2:4), this 'Spirit' is the leading of God in believers, Christ peeps. In a not so hard to understand manner, here is Paul, after having gently told Corinth Christians they are called by their FAITH to edify other Christians, they are jot to worry about Paul's status, as a baptizer, for Paul did not come to baptize but to do what ? Preach the gospel. :)

Now, here after Paul has spoken to the divisive issues, including quarrelihg over which spiritual gifts (don't read ahead but do look at 1 Cor. 12 if you want, the Lord leads (you), pray too all cee and I's words and others can be understood, as He in you (the Spirit :)) leads you to all Truth, We are mere vessels) are better to have, and, Paul says that none lack in any gift as long as 'the testimony of Christ is confirmed in you.'

Moving on, in 2:6 , it's learned that though Christ operates in the believer in s 'demonstration of the Spirit and of (God's) power, over persuasive wisdom (2:4), that, INDEED, God's work in believer is wisdom , but not of man given, but of Him, and, done so mysteriously. This 'wisdom' confounded the ages of this workd, it's 'prince,' who is Satan, and, if it was not for God's doing this above-all thoughts way, so to speak, Satan would not have, as cee stated, set in motion the killing and crucifying of Him on the cross. God knew all , it was all His 'predestined' (2:8) plan , all of Satan's dirty deeds done were for God bringing glory to Himself. :) How great is our God !

Cee, pray up and pray ceaselessly, and, have a great Sunday in the Lord.
We MUST fight where He leads, the Lord leads.
Back to study Monday, for today took strength of Him elsewhere, for the fight is to His led end that we endure longfastingly, for, then, our Rest. :)

1Co 2:9-11But nevertheless, just as it has been written, "What things an eye has never (abs. neg.) beheld, and an ear has never (abs. neg.) heard, even what has never (abs. neg.) risen upon a human's heart, those things has God prepared for those who are loving (agape = love of esteem) Him". And God has revealed those things to us through (channel of an act) His Spirit, seeing that (explanation) the Spirit does search (investigate) all things, even the deep things (profundities) of God. For (explanation) who knows about the human things which belongs to a human except the spirit of that human which is in him. Even so, no one knows about the things of God except the Spirit of God.

Notes:

what things = the things of hope given to our thoughts are there because of God's Spirit. He tells us of things to come (Jon 16:13), He teaches us all things (Joh 14:1=26), He guides into all Truth (Joh 16:13). Listen, this indwelling of God's Spirit is the lively hope spoken about. A faith without the Spirit is a dead faith. In such a faith, there is no one there to speak to you about the profundities of God, the things which awaits the sons of God, the wisdom of God, the Truth. Without the Spirit, who then will lead you to Truth? Truth is, without the Spirit, there is no hope, no one to teach you all things, no one to show you God's way, no one to tell you the Truth when you hear a lie. A lie is saying that you have heard all things needed for salvation and there is no need for a lively hope. Salvation is not through a head knowledge, but through a living fellowship with God.

through = the Spirit is the channel used by which God reveals to you the reality of the hope we have in Christ.

are loving (Present Active Participle) = the active now being performed by you. Listen to what is being said:

If you claim God as your Father, then you would love Jesus (Joh 8:42) and you will show that love by keeping His commandments (Joh 14:15). Now, look what happens when you keep His commandments: the Father will love you and both He and Jesus will come into you and make their ABODE with you (Joh 14:23). That is, the testimony of Christ and God will not become a reality to you unless your love is actively displayed. So, on your part, you must keep His commandments and because you are faithful to Him, they both will come in and that testimony (evidence given) will become your lively hope.

It is when we keep His commandments, even as He kept His Father's commandments and does abide in His love, that we abide in His love (Joh 15:20). Do you hear what Jesus is saying here: He did not brush aside the commandments of God. So, neither should we cry the moral commandments of God are of the Law of Ordinances and claim faith alone. Jesus is saying that your faith must be active, in that, we must obey His commandments (love God and fellows) which sums up the moral character of God written as commandments in order to be loved by the Father and Him.

It is only those who love God, who are known by God (1Co 8:3) It is only those who do not love Jesus that the Holy Spirit inspired it to be written: let him be Anathema Maranatha (1Co 16:22). It is by love that God dwells in us (1Jn 4:12).
How do we show love to God and Jesus? Yes! Obedience to our Lord (Master). But understand that it is not the obedience to the Law which is being spoken about, it is the obedience to Jesus as Lord. His commandments are not grievous. In faith, they are summed up quiet nicely in two words: faith and love.

God's Holy Spirit is not 'some force,' or, just someone we know working in our life and keep Him hid under a bushel, is He ?

No!!!!!! He is the living Christ of hope, ALL your hope, and, He is great hope. But you will NEVER understand His hope, nor the great faith He has measured to you IF you do not understand the greatest:Love !!!

For when understood, your fear of God will increase, in a great, good, way, you will understand how to take on Him, take on Him, for to receive the Spirit is to do what Scripture says we MUST do as commitment to our belief in the finished work of Christ on the cross. Do NOT mitigate this power of God, that Paul himself spoke of was Who was speaking through him, as not Paul's OWN wisdom and persuasive words but Paul spoke through His Holy Spirit in him, in Paul. Demonstrated this all how, showing, witnessing, Christ, NOT man has ALL the answers. :)

Good break-in, too ! By taking on the mime of Christ, cabe, no,cee aré not with God's mind, for His thoughts aré NOT our thoughts and His eays NOT our ways (Isaiah 55:6 thinknis Sfriptute, bit the verdes sionista to come will SPEAK this Truth too :) )

Christ peeps, it a right-hand to the finish, and, We will NOT make it through what God MAY put us through faith to ENDure IF the Holy Spirit is not part of our temple.

Your end is near ! ENDure ! Rest ! You MUST ENDURE TO STAY IN HIS REST. HE WHO endURest shall have rest in Jesus forevermore in the end, like which these paricular 1 Cor. 2:8,9,10 Scriptures speak is infinitely beyond what normal can see and have faith to believe,CTO help others, be told how to help by Him, but YOU will see with the Holy Spirit guiding you. Read Acts 1:8 and whole thing around 1 plus 2:38, hwy, READ ACTS , read Romans 8. 15, and, stay listening to cee's study, for these words will sharpen even more so in your mind's eye and as your ears heareth and your faith increaseth, as you receive what He in you is teaching.

It's not easy though, this MEAT, past the finished work of Christ on the cross that did, oneed, set you freeee !!!! :)

And which things we do not (abs. neg.) speak in teaching words of human wisdom, but rather, in teaching words from an holy Spirit, comparing (interpreting) spiritual things with spiritual things. But a sensual (with concern of being a breathing entity) human does not (abs. neg.) accept those things (wisdom and knowledge) from the Spirit of God, seeing that they are foolishness (silliness, absurdity) to him. Notes:

the spirit from this world = the wisdom and knowledge which this world through the prince of this Earth offers, as opposed to the wisdom and knowledge we receive by the indwelling of God's Sprint. Their wisdom and knowledge is physical and leads away from God, ours is spiritual and leads to God. We have three identities: flesh, soul, spirit. Satan lulls the soul through the flesh. God lulls the soul through the spirit. And because one who is ignorant in the wisdom and knowledge of the world, then he is more likely more spiritual and thus, the reason why God chooses those things which are lacking in what Satan has to offer. So, stand proud that you are considered ignorant by the world, because in Christ you have been given a wisdom and knowledge which gives everlasting life through the Spirit. Christ is indeed our wisdom from God.

the Spirit from God = it is by the Spirit that we obtain wisdom and knowledge which are from God. To deny the Spirit His role in your salvation is to deny your spiritual self, and thus, you cannot battle successively in you spiritual battle, because you lack that which was given to you to help you endure onslaughts (the Spirit of Hope, the Spirit of Grace, the Spirit of Truth, the Spirit of the Lord, the Spirit of Life, the Spirit of Christ, the Spirit of adoption and so many more).

In all things, God is the supplier of your need. In despair, He is your Hope. In times of offense, He is your Grace. When faced with lies, He is your Truth. Let Him be the Spirit of whatever to help you in your walk with Him. To me, He is the Spirit of Adoption by which I cry, "Abba! My Father". In him, I do live and death I shall never know.

under God = this is a very peculiar word. Why wasn't 'by' or 'through' used here. People drink and do drugs and they are considered to be under the influence. By the usage of this word, the writer is trying to convey that we, as servants of the one we are under, are controlled by that force. Sometimes we can see the negative impact of one who is influenced by an evil spirit, we can even see one who is influenced by the Spirit of God, and this gives credence that our actions are sometimes influenced by the spirit we are following. This also lets us know that we are to be led by the proper Spirit so that we are not influenced not only by societal events, but also evil spirits.

teaching words = if one is to speak what has been taught that person by the Spirit, then one ought not to teach based with head knowledge. But, if the Spirit is denied His proper role as being the influence of your conduct, then how can one even speak spiritually, seeing that what they say is carnal knowledge. As is often witnessed by those who have little knowledge of man's wisdom, and is not influenced by the Spirit, their argument often sways in twisting words, name calling, and deflection. As much as it is said that we can know a person by their fruit, we can also know such a person by the way they speak to those they call brothers and sisters. They speak from head knowledge and the Spirit which is given us as knowledge and wisdom is nothing more than an it to them, even saying that such leading is of the Law and needs not to be obeyed. Solution? Accept the gift from Jesus and be led in your actions.

accept not...neither is it possible = what a web we web when we first set out without the leading of the Spirit. As concerning those who deny the Spirit His leading, how can your words be spiritual? Is not your words spoken with interest of being a breathing being? Die to the flesh and spiritually awaken. God did not choose you because you were filled with man's knowledge, God choose you so that He could teach you. Learn from God and let your conversations be in spirit and by the Spirit.

who is spiritual = the one who is being led by the Spirit. The one who is dying to the flesh which is lulled by evil spirits. The one who is not denying the leading of the Spirit in all things.

is scrutinized under no one = the one who is truly being lead by the Spirit will not fall into questionings and examinations because what he writes is from the Spirit and is totally backed-up with Scripture. Although they who are carnal and whose influence is by the flesh will seek to discredit you, you have nothing to fear, because the words you speak are from the same Spirit who led Jesus to speak and do the things He did. If you speak spiritually, know that you ought not to lower yourself to those things they of head knowledge do: name calling, sarcasm, deflection (though they may accuse you of the same). Always remember, as long as you let God's Spirit speak, you are under God and not under them as to be scrutinized. Again, take note of the word 'under' and remain under the influence of God when you speak and act.

Christ's mind = see, your words are not your own if you are led by God. The wisdom and the knowledge which has been given to you from God is the same mind set of the Christ's. Would Christ fall into the trap of speaking the way those of the flesh speak? Why then belittle what God has given you? But speak the mind which has been given you, Christ's mind. I repeat, if they cannot instruct Christ and if you speak the mind given you (of which mind is spoken through the Spirit), then you will not become their bait to draw you away from the Lord's leading.

Brilliant, Spirit-led instruction from cee !

So many reasons to not just HAVE but to ACKNOWLEDGE the Spirit's leading in our life. :)

In all thy ways acknowledge Him (the Spirit YOUR guide :) ) , and, He shall direct thy paths.

Lean NOT on your OWN understanding, Christ peeps, abide, walk, follow Him , for evil IS out there but He Christ allows in you (1 Cor. 6:19-20) is greater than he out there, ever so much more infinitely GREATER :) THE Spirit of God leads us, and, we have the mind of Christ then :)

Notes:

brothers you* are still carnal = there is no debate that this letter was speaking to those who Paul, certainly one who was saved, considered brothers. For Paul to have called them brothers, then he considered them to have been of the same house, the house of faith. But yet, we see Paul telling those who he is feeding milk that they are still carnal. What this tells us is those who are of the faith but yet still babes, speaking and acting in the world's wisdom and knowledge, need to be feed milk because they are but babes, not even yet considered youngsters. Seeing that they are our brothers and sisters, see not that you judge them, but feed them the first principles from the oracles of God and always feed them hope.

As it was explained in Hebrews 5:12
the principles of the beginning oracles of God = the writings of the Old Testament. Of which principles are summed up in the Christ and that God's Law is the expression of Love, and that the fear of God is the beginning of Wisdom, and etc... If one cannot understand the basics of the faith's foundation, then how can they move on to the strong meat which is contained in Christ? In not knowing the faith's foundation, one becomes unskillful in speaking a word of righteousness. Examples would be: not knowing if we should or should not obey God (faith only or faith and works), if Christ went to Hades to deliver the righteous dead (no one was righteous from the Law or they were not justified by the Law but was righteous nonetheless), or even if all is saved or not (false doctrine of Universal Salvation), and if the Son is God (Jesus was not God or the LORD (Jehovah) is your Savior). So, before endeavoring into teaching, know your foundation, the Old Testament.

Christ peeps, one is carnal if they are not able to understand God's great Love, that we are to not only Love Him back the way He first Loved us. But we are to understand that though God gave us His Son as a sacrifice this was not done condemningly by God but parentally. God is our Father in Heaven....

Someone (in another thread) just saud that God condemned us because of our sin.

No! Does a father condemn his children? No, not really, sure, examples of bad examples but God IS your Father in Heaven and He will convict the unbeliever but NEVER condemn them, He will point out their wrong in Love :)

God just made a way for us to see that we erred by giving us His Son, that is not how much God condemned the world, as John 3:16 states but how much God Loved the world :)

God wants us to understand this 'milk' before we can begin to understand His Holy Spirit, venom He tells us our body is a temple for housing, that we need to understand the importance of 'building this temple' and, woe! to those who defile His temple, that build it wrong. The builder is more important than the person who is in the house. And, God is more important than the builder.

Now, you have 'meat' to go with your 'milk,' my Christbro and Christsisters :)

This is a 'feeding,' I hope, I pray, what is said is from Him. :)

jealousy and strive and division = even when your brother or sister shows that jealousy in accusations of you trying to show yourself more righteous because you see the leading of God as your way home and that He, in His wisdom, must be hearkened to if you wish to obtain your rest in His rest. Stand firm in your words of proclaiming God's administration of the Gospel, even when your younger brother or sister quarrels with you. though we may strive among each other, never condemn them, let God be Judge.

walk about humanly = as opposed to walking about spiritually. They who have not obtain the Spirit yet, seeing that their body is not yet made a holy temple, will accuse those who are filled with God as ones who are acting like they are superior. But neither can those who have the Spirit deny Him for the sake of the young, seeing that by God's Spirit we are given the evidence of Christ and of God. So, what are we to do? Feed them milk until they are ready for meat. We can only plant, God is the harvester. Trust in God to lead them to Truth by His Spirit. He will harvest all which is good and will leave the rest for the winepress.

Don't be carnal, and, with the Spirit powering your life, you have the baptized, in the Blood remebrance ability to have your spirit at one with Him.

Two, one. Beautiful sounding, isn't it, like a sweet, milk, shake laced with a wonderful infusion (boost) of minced meat.

Christ peeps, let the Lord Jesus lead YOU,bicker not over things of selfishness, things of desire, and, certainly, say NO to the flesh and demons of this world.

WHAT is your life this very minute? Aré you letting the Lord lead your life?
If not, why not ? You can . Just turn to Him. :)

It is Halloween, make THIS the day you crucify your carnal nature of you and replace it wholly and Holy. Him.

Did you know your temple is a temple of the Holy One.
Forget fearing that stupid little harry potter and resident evil creatures onbthe screen, fear Him !

Christ your God, your Saviour. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, and, the Holy One is able to lead you to Truth of understanding all things good, all things of God, Jesus, Holy Spirit.

IF you are thinking to go to the dark side, think again! Do NOT depart from.the one you went up to.the altar and tear-cried your eyes. And you said, 'Lord,.I know what I've done, sinned so MUCH. God , Jesus , my Lord forgive me.'

It was done. Forgiven, as you repented and turned from.the evil that you were of man and men wicklledly doing. Do it no more! Go!! Just like Mary Magdalene, go and sin no more.

Jesus isn't leaving YOU if you don't leave His hand.

Don't let the demons of the dark night get you. Choose white, choose Him,your Saviour, your Light :)

To Him, your sins ate forgotten at that alter you confessed them , past, present, future. Gone. Coveted! By His precious Blood.

Godblessyoufor choosing to leave your CARNAL temptations behind on such a black night as this.

God bless you, Christ peepcfor your choice , be now nosed in How Word, in a church He leads. YOU are His now.

Satan, take your demons and go. Tell them, they don't belong near YOU no more. :)

God bless you, child, you are now of the King. :)
