Purgatory

The words Trinity and Incarnation are not in Scripture, but the doctrines are taught. Scripture also teaches purgatory exists, even if it doesn’t use that word.
If you do not believe in purgatory we can agree that in 1 Peter 3:19 talks about another place.

Do not be judgmental before reading this, simply understand what it is saying, and you might see that there is another place.

He was put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit 19 in which also he went and made a proclamation to the spirits in prison, 20 who in former times did not obey, when God waited patiently in the days of Noah, during the building of the ark, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were saved through water. 21 And baptism, which this prefigured, now saves you—not as a removal of dirt from the body, but as an appeal to God for[f] a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

Hebrews 9:27 And just as it is appointed for mortals to die once, and after that the judgment, 28 so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin, but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.

Luke 12:58 Thus, when you go with your accuser before a magistrate, on the way make an effort to settle the case, or you may be dragged before the judge, and the judge hand you over to the officer, and the officer throw you in prison. 59 I tell you, you will never get out until you have paid the very last penny.”

Matthew 12:32 Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.

1 Corinthians 3:4 If what has been built on the foundation survives, the builder will receive a reward. 15 If the work is burned up, the builder will suffer loss; the builder will be saved, but only as through fire.

2 Maccabees 12:44 For if he were not expecting that those who had fallen would rise again, it would have been superfluous and foolish to pray for the dead. 45 But if he was looking to the splendid reward that is laid up for those who fall asleep in godliness, it was a holy and pious thought. Therefore he made atonement for the dead, so that they might be delivered from their sin.

Very good. As you said, Rock, there is indeed "another place".

I will add to what you already posted concerning this;

Matthew 5:25-26: “Make friends quickly with your accuser, while you are going with him to court, lest your accuser hand you over to the judge, and the judge to the guard, and you be put in prison; truly, I say to you, you will never get out till you have paid the last penny.”

and...

Matthew 18:32-35: Then his lord summoned him and said to him, `You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you besought me; and should not you have had mercy on your fellow servant, as I had mercy on you?' And in anger his lord delivered him to the jailers, till he should pay all his debt. So also my heavenly Father will do to every one of you, if you do not forgive your brother from your heart."

and also...

Isaiah 6:1-7: In the year that King Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and his train filled the temple. Above him stood the seraphim; each had six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one called to another and said: "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory." And the foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who called, and the house was filled with smoke. And I said: "Woe is me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts!" Then flew one of the seraphim (*seraphim means "burning one") to me, having in his hand a burning coal which he had taken with tongs from the altar. And he touched my mouth, and said: "Behold, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away, and your sin forgiven."

Praise God and praise Him for His mercy.

1 Peter 3:18-20 KJV
(18) For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
(19) By which (The Spirit) also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;
(20) Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.
Genesis 6:3 KJV
(3) And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

If the text in Peter are read in context then it is not talking about Jesus going to some place after He died and preaching to the dead, it is talking about Jesus through the Spirit in Noah's time preached to those in the prison house of sin.
John 8:33-36 KJV
(33) They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?
(34) Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
(35) And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.
(36) If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Concerning where we go when we die. John tells us:

I saw the Holy city, the new Jerusalem coming down out of Heaven from God, prepared as a bride, beautifully dressed for her husband
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying:
Now(not before) the dwelling of God is with men.
Rev21:3
Don't stop there. John then describes nations of the saved who do commerce with each other and the Holy city. Point being, not all of us will live in New Jerusalem.

1 Peter 3:18-20

18. Why, even Christ died once for all times concerning sins, a righteous [person] for unrighteous ones, that he might lead you to God, he being put to death in the flesh, but being made alive in the spirit. 19. In this [state] also he went his way and preached to the spirits in prison, 20. Who had once been disobedient when the patience of God was waiting in Noah’s days, while the ark was being constructed, in which a few people, that is, eight souls, were carried safely through the water. NWT

From the later part of verse 18 we see that Jesus was made alive in the Spirit, or resurrected. After being made alive he went and made proclamation to imprisoned spirits. These, no doubt, are the disobedient angelic sons of God in Noah’s day who that had materialized and married women.

2 Peter 2:4, 5

4. Certainly if God did not hold back from punishing the angels that sinned, but, by throwing them into Tartarus, delivered them to pits of dense darkness to be reserved for judgment, 5. And he did not hold back from punishing an ancient world, but kept Noah, a preacher of righteousness, safe with seven others when he brought a deluge upon a world of ungodly people;

The only imprisoned spirits referred to in the Scriptures are those angels of Noah’s day who were ‘delivered into pits of dense darkness reserved for judgment.’ Therefore the preaching by the resurrected Jesus to such unrighteous angels could only have been a preaching of judgment, and to proclaim his victory “died once for all times concerning sins”, for all imperfect humans and he remained faithful to his Father.

Jude 6

And the angels that did not keep their original position but forsook their on proper dwelling place he has reserved eternal bonds under dens darkness for the judgment of the great day.
