Perhaps it will be an entirely new set of 2 people (as I'm leaning toward thinking), but will be LIKE what was said regarding "John the Baptist" in Luke 1:17, "And he will go forth before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous--to make ready a people prepared for the Lord."
IOW, he wasn't Elijah "literally"... perhaps it could be the same for the two witnesses (future)... two people born in proximity to that general "future" time-frame.
But I tell you, Elijah has already been hear, and they did not recognize him, but have done to him everything they wished. In the same way the Son of Man is going to suffer at their hands.”

The above verse (Rev13:7) corresponds with:

Daniel 7:21 [context, vv.20-24,25,8,11] -

"21 I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them;"

But look what Jesus said about (what He calls) "My church" that He said He "will build [future tense]" (Matt16:18):

Berean Literal Bible
"And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades not will prevail against it."

King James Bible
"And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it."

I believe Him.
The Revelation and Daniel passages speak of physically prevailing here on earth. Matt 16
Well, the text of 1Th4 states that we'll be "CAUGHT UP TOGETHER [/AT THE SAME TIME] WITH" the dead in Christ who shall have already done the "shall rise FIRST" thing (before the "CAUGHT UP / SNATCH [/RAPTURE] TOGETHER [/AT THE SAME TIME]" event occurs [only] at ONE SINGULAR POINT IN TIME). Not every time a saint dies, see.
That could depend on how you look at the relationship of time to eternity. Don't have time to go into it in detail, but my opinion is that even tho we all leave this orb at different times, we all arrive before the Lord at the same time.

Correct - DWELL on this, FEED of of it, your Spirit will delight
has Enoch appeared standing with the God of earth like the two witnesses ?

this is what I’m saying this is a direct reference from John from the prophet zechariahs prophecy of the two witnesses

These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭11:4‬ ‭

it comes from this

“And said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have looked, and behold a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon the top thereof:

And two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof.

For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the Lord, which run to and fro through the whole earth.

Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof?

And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my Lord. Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth.”
‭‭Zechariah‬ ‭4:2-3, 10-11, 13-14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

so we both I think agree the gospel is where to look to see the God of the whole earth

“But I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God.

And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering.

And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elijah: Who appeared in glory, and spake of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭9:27, 29-31‬ ‭KJV‬‬

to me that’s pretty convincing you see John didn’t see the olive trees , he just references what zechariah saw 🙂 John is giving apocalypse of prior scripture in his vision and there are two in the Bible that I’m aware of standing by the God of the earth in the glory of the kingdom.

To Me , it’s sort of clear when we look at their ministries of shutting the skies of rain for 3 and a half years(elijah) and water to blood and plagues (Moses. )

versus Enoch didn’t die and was the seventh son ect I’ve always looked at Enoch as one more prophetic figure pointing to Christ like the entire law and prophets do they are witnessing Christ through prophets and figures from eves lromose forward

given the fact Enoch prophesied Christs coming it’s been a figure in my head like isaac was when he was offered and left alive from the sacrifice , or like the Passover lamb was , or the sin sacrifice or all The prophets who foretold Jesus birth , life , miracles , ministry , death and suffering , resurrection and ascension to Gods right hand where he is now

the prophets simply are a witness ofnchrirt as the law is and Moses gave the law and Elijah was the chief prophet of God who also figures Christ when he raised the dead to
Life

Moses and Elijah appeared to Jesus on the Mount, which i always assumed were the Two Anointed Ones.
This does not, by itself, certify that they are the Two Witnesses and/or the Two Anointed Ones from Zechariah.

However, i currently see Enoch over Moses and for Scriptural Reasons, not personal.
Enoch easily can be one of the Two Anointed Ones and/or Witnesses.

like Elijah having the power to shut the sky for rain for exactly the same amount of time as one of the witnesses ? And Moses turning water to blood and sending plaigues ?

that sort of supports it also , also I left out a bunch but , we only have what we see and hear for faith so who knows really

Yes, excellent - sounds like Moses and Elijah to me, but i am not leaving out Enoch and for Scriptural reasons.

Did the power to do these things come from Moses and Elijah? or did it come from God???

You know as well as i do they are not coincidences.

Everything that Moses was faithful to the Lord, Enoch was even more.
yeah but the two witnesses are in johns “revelation “ are standing by Jesus

see there’s a lot more to
It I had assumed you would recognize it and didn’t want to string longer posts than I already have

but the same figures can be found from revelation for for every paragraph on revelation thereforth . I think because I’m learning that it’s ac tally an apocalypse rather than a predictive earthly book I’m pretty convinced the answer is written and we’re given in johns vision the references to every part of johns vision because what John is seeing is a condemned revelatory vision of the “ story “ thats in the Bible

I think the understanding of what an apocalypse actually is is why I’m seeing it like I do

yes I’d never close off myself either I just am compelled to stick with the new understanding I have been seeing of the book of revelation o think it’s opening up sommich for me myself , I was hoping you would test my theory with me

and see if we could together go scripture by scripture maybe not this thread but go through revelation from chapter 4 on and see if johns vision of glory is actually something other than what is traditionally perceived through intellect and theology and established thought

The question was meant to be directed to DavidTree's comment (I only placed your comment within his post, to which he was replying, so he could recall what it was his comment pertained to)... my apologies for any confusion = )

[P.S. I had added to my post, to clarify further... jfyi]

Key point you made - and Enoch walked with God(standing beside Him) and he was not for God took Him...........

WHY did God take Him - for he had this testimony, that he pleased God......

There is no higher testimony then that one. Only our Lord is higher(testimony of pleasing God) because he never sinned and becuae he is the Word who is God from the Beginning.....

Tribulation means "persecution of saints by the world (i.e. unbelievers)."

Wrath means "Judgment by The Almighty and/or The Lamb upon the world (i.e. unbelievers)."

----

The Almighty (and the Lamb) have never removed their saints from any tribulation from the beginning of the scriptures to the end. Saints either had to endure tribulation and sometimes die, or they were protected through it...but never removed. Comparatively, saints are removed before wrath falls (because that usually means complete destruction). These two concepts are different.

The Great Tribulation is the great "persecution of saints by the world (i.e. unbelievers)."

And it's the spilled blood of those saints that incurs the Almighty's wrath upon the world.
Very simple and straight forward, almost as if it were written for a child to understand.........

"Unless you become like little children you will in no way enter the Kingdom of God" - Matthew 18:1-3

The Scripture does say that Moses died

Then Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, which faces Jericho. And the LORD showed him the whole land—from Gilead as far as Dan, all of Naphtali, the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, all the land of Judah as far as the Western Sea, the Negev, and the region from the Valley of Jericho (the City of Palms) all the way to Zoar.

And the LORD said to him, “This is the land that I swore to give Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob when I said, ‘I will give it to your descendants.’ I have let you see it with your own eyes, but you will not cross into it.”

So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, as the LORD had said. And He buried him in a valley in the land of Moab facing Beth-peor, and no one to this day knows the location of his grave.
Deut 34
I know that scripture well. Where’s the body of Moses? No one knows. Later, Michael and the devil have a dispute over the body of Moses.
