Amen brother its clear as day to me but I guess some are just blinded to it. Honestly when I joined Christian chat and learned there was actually differing views on what eternal security actually means. I thought I was crazy reading these scriptures seeing in my mind what was completely obvious but I soon learned some would ignore them or try to debate their interpretation to fit a doctrine they believe. And thats when I was introduced into human doctrines. I knew commentary existed but didnt know these doctrines is what many congregations go off of. Before I joined I only knew scripture and what was enlightened to me. But boy I learned of all sorts of doctrines and interpretations.

It puzzled me and my soul. I couldn't sleep but for months studying everything everyone had said to get to the truth. God filled me with a fire that annoyed me into searching for truth. The question was does what God enlightened me to have truth or does the others who debate differently.

I couldn't stop until I had the answers i seeked. And as time went on I only became stronger in my belief.
I originally saw what I thought I saw. But its amazing at how human doctrines can corrupt what the Bible actually says. Not to say others beliefs didnt also teach me some truth but nothing so far has convinced me otherwise to say osas is true
amen i understand completely, at times , its not that someone is intentionally distorting, its that they cant see yet. a five year old, doesnt read shakespear and grasp much of it...if that makes sense to you? i think its why we share all coming from different perspectives.

I use g7 and myself as an example, we most often disagree, but also, through the conversations ive had with him for more than a year, good value has been imparted to me. thats why i said earlier, he has good things to share at times, but i believe its the walls built by the omission doctrines that bruce didnt invent, all of us have some level of wrong thinking and perception in us until the truth shines and we realize its as simple as Believing in Jesus, and believing His Gospel because we believe in Him, accepting His words of Life, light and truth, and simply keeping them alive in us and holding Fast because Gods power and work has always been accomplished through His word.

Clearly Jesus main point was " Im speaking from above, im speaking Gods words believe what im saying and you will see"
when we see Jesus saying " Obey my words and i will send the spirit of truth...or keep my words and you will know the truth and the truth will set you free" its because mankind was deceived from birth, and then all we learn in life befopre we come to Jesus, much of it builds walls in our minds, its the devils work. and Jesus came for this reason

john 18:37 "Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

1 john 3:8 "He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

the devils work that caused sin, was deception, the solution to deception is to Know the truth.

He saves us through the word to teach us what adam and eve didnt understand, Faith is to simply believe God, and if we do that, obedience is natural. because we Know that His word is not an oppression and He isnt lying to keep us from something Good, but rather, He is telling us the truth to keep us safe. its the flesh mind deceived, or the mind of the spirit created in the word of Christ

2 corinthians 4:6 "For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

we take His words as they are and creation begins anew, because His words create as they always have

even the crucifixion and resurrection were first spoken through the prophets and then Jesus Himself, so is our new creation spoken By Jesus, because He is speaking the Words of Our creator

Keep twisting....the one verse in context hammered your deception concerning the 1st thing you denied and stated....I see we have another cake taker here who denies something, gets called on it and misdirects to make out like he is right....thats ok....All who can read and be honest can see your deceptive ways....reminds me of another........still making the list in Proverbs 6......Your failure to post the scripture I was addressing proves your a deceptive cake taker....My reply below was directed at your false bolded statement below......very very deceptive.....just like the garden.....

For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please.

You also get those who intentionally distort. Satan tries to infiltrate the church with his servants.

yes thats true for sure, yet, How is it we determine the inner workings of someone to make that Judgement is my quandry......which is why i do my very best to plant seeds and let God sort out the watering and cultivating and determine who is an inward deceiver, and who is just blinded by deceptions that are so prevelent in this dark world.

others in the church have thier own call, mine is to simply scatter seed that i know to be truth, and then pray often that God will make them grow and that Glory will rise to Him in others hearts, even if im personally not liked much, im okay with it because i believe what i say, and between the good and gracious Lord and myself, i feel its my place to not decide and to just plant them seederoonies and let the soil determine whether a peach tree or thornbush emerges.

you are absolutely correct many deceivers are out there, im just not well equipped to decide between the deceived and the deceivers. some major movements and the fathers of those are easy to see, so i stay clear of them, but amongst the brethren, its just for me personally not a discernment i can make. I just am able to recognize when someones sayiong something contrary to the truth of Jesus, thats my only place, but others have thier place and confidence also through the spirit.

And to add all the imagery of a marriage to replicate the image God wants to portray God with his follower. A marriage is never one sided. But God does all the saving and onlt asks from us one thing.

To remain faithful unto the end.

Thats it!

Its just people are all confused on what a faithful disciple looks like and does listening to God come natural or do we still have to surrender daily and take up our crosses choosing to obey.

Jesus is faithful. We rest in His faithfulness, we surrender to the rest He provides, that is what He requires of us.

sorry i missed that last part, I believe we choose and bear our cross daily...what im saying is those words of our Lord and savior create strength in us to do so, so after awhile, that cross becomes less and less to bear because Hes taking aay the issues that caused the cross bearing to begin with, so after awhile that cross is just like waking up and getting dressed and the wieght is shaved and shaved until one day..........we appear in an empty tomb the cross behind, and Our risen Lord ahead leading the way :)

Just some imagery, im sure youll get what im saying, your brother in Christ Jesus. .....Jason

I don't know if this was posted but remembering the story of achan should throw caution in the wind.
Sin from one person could cause a whole congregation to fall.

Answer...

WAS

a. Peter faithful when he denied the Lord three times?
b. Was the Corinthian brother who was cut lose for the destruction of the flesh so the spirit would be saved in the day of Christ faithful.
c. Was David faithful when he committed adultry and murder
d. Was Daniel faithful even though he confessed his SIN
e. Were the Corinthian brothers and sisters who fell asleep faithful when they corrupted the feast of the LORD

What you fail to understand has many facets....

JESUS will FINISH what he started
JESUS will complete the GOOD work in YOU
JESUS will NEVER leave of forsake YOU
NOTHING can seperate you from the LOVE of GOD
EVERY SIN has been nailed to the cross for one who is covered by the blood dia faith
God's kingdom contains FAITHFUL believers who produce works of gold, silver and precious stones
God's Kingdom contains UNFAITHFUL believers who produce works of wood, hay and stubble
God's Kingdom contains mature servants and babes in Christ
OUR spirit is BORN of INCURRUPTABLE SEED
WE ARE JUSTIFIED (rendered legally INNOCENT) even though we are GUILTY
OUR SIN is nailed to the cross
The righteousness of CHRIST is PUT to our account dia FAITH

and on and on and on and on...............wake up.......!

A good example is when Paul is facing death he was more worried about the church than his own life or the apostles being beaten and then praising God in their suffering.

To me his yoke will always be easy compared to the other yoke of slavery that leads to hell.

A good example is when Paul is facing death he was more worried about the church than his own life or the apostles being beaten and then praising God in their suffering.
amen in the kjv authorized it says that 2 timothy was written just before paul faced nero the second time, the first church History holds that paul was thrown to lions and miraculously survived so nero sent Him back to prison, and the second time paul was made ready to depart as he writes in second timothy. i Love the line where hes saying everyone abondoned Him but LUKE remains with me, and then He asks for the scriptures to be brought to Him , especially the parchment scrolls. it shows his ever pressing on mentality, i feel, hoping to find some more value to impart to the church before His departure. Paul after Jesus is my personal Hero for sure.
