Well that is not true at all MarcR.

It is on the Word of God we stand or fall. You are upset because I share God's Word with you?

These are God's Word, not mine my friend, I am only a messenger.

We should BELIEVE and FOLLOW him who calls us.

If you build your house on the sand great shall be the fall thereof.

It is a hard thing to kick against the pricks. You either know God's Word for what you BELIEVE or you do not. If you do not you should seek him who loves you, because he is calling you. How can you hear him with your hands over your ears?

.............

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

There is not one scripture in ALL of God's WORD that says God's 4th commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to worship God on Sunday in it's place.

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

In times of ignorance God winks at but now calls all men every where to REPENT for the KINGDOM of HEAVEN is at HAND (Acts 17:30-31)
It is true enough. I don't intend to ignore you but I do intend to limit my responses to you. When I do respond, it will be to refute your nonsense not to engage in conversation.

Hello MarcR

What nonesense has it been that you claim I have said and you have refuted my friend? Just saying words without Scripture does not make things so because you say so. If you believe I have said something that is not biblical please make your case and lets share the Word of God.

You tried to make a case earlier by responding to a post # 2824 linked sent to someone else and wrote your reply in post # 2836 linked by saying that the scriptures used in my earlier post were not referring to God's 10 Commandments. Then you go on in that same post to try and make out that the post was dishonestly using scripture and my honestly should be questioned.

A response post was then sent to you in post # 2843 linked using scriptures to clearly show you that the verses you thought were NOT referring to God's LAW were indeed talking about the 10 commandments.

Is this is what you are referring to as nonsense? Is it nonsense if someone is pointing out to you your error in relation to scrioptures and judging the honestly and good intent of another?

Only God's Words are true and we should follow him who loves us.

Please refer to the New Testament scriptures that address God's 4th Commandment the Sabbath and how we are to keep it today.

Then please tell tell us exactly how you keep the Sabbath since our eternal life depends on it the New Testament should be very clear about the Sabbath.

JPT
Sabbath keeping with all it's rules and regulations (Exodus 16:23; 31:12-18; 35:3; Leviticus 23:32; Jeremiah 17:21; 19:30; 23:2-3; Numbers 15:32-36; 28:1-10; 29:39-40; I Chronicles. 23:30-31; II Chronicles 31:2-4; Isaiah 1:13) was part of a covenant with Israel that is not applicable to Christians under the New Covenant. (Colossians 2:16,17) *See post #3001.

What is the other Gospel?

It is a Gospel that tries to separate God's Law (10 commandments) from the Cross. The counterfeit Gospel is out there. It is a Gospel that tries to separate God's 10 commandments from the plan of salvation.
As you can see, LGF has a "counterfeit gospel" which equates to salvation by "grace plus law, faith plus works" and is no good news at all! His doctrine of salvation is a subtle mixture of law and grace that is a perversion of the Gospel. (Galatians 1:6-9) :(

The Gospel is the "good news" of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) and is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that BELIEVES.. (Romans 1:16).

To “believe” the Gospel is to trust in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ as the ALL-sufficient means of our salvation. The Gospel is a message of grace to be received through faith. The Gospel is not a set of rituals to perform, a code of laws to be obeyed or a check list of good works to accomplish as a prerequisite for salvation. The Gospel is not salvation by obeying the 10 commandments or keeping the Sabbath day. That is a "different" gospel.

In 2 Corinthians 4:3-4, Paul clearly states - But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

I wonder the same, in fact I don't need to wonder. Isn't there a forum for cults on here, although I wouldn't expect there to be, seeing as it is a Christian forum.

well, lovegodforever has yet to plain, straightforward state that he believes in the Resurrection, causing me to wonder if he is Christian. a Christian acknowledges a Risen Lord and Savior.
1 Corinthians 15:1 - Now I make known to you, brethren, the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, in which also you stand, 2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain.

3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 5 and that He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. 6 After that He appeared to more than five hundred brethren at one time, most of whom remain until now, but some have fallen asleep; 7 then He appeared to James, then to all the apostles; 8 and last of all, as to one untimely born, He appeared to me also. 9 For I am the least of the apostles, and not fit to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. 10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me did not prove vain; but I labored even more than all of them, yet not I, but the grace of God with me. 11 Whether then it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed. 12 Now if Christ is preached, that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, not even Christ has been raised; 14 and if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is vain, your faith also is vain.

Romans 10:9 - that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.

How could anyone who claims to be a Christian even hesitate for one second to plainly say in a straightforward state that they believe in the Resurrection?

Hello MMD, PART 1/4

How nice to see you. Hope you are well. Looks like your just posting the same stuff again that has already been addressed with many scriptures already. Did you have anything new to add? If you disagree with my rebuttal posts then please address

Please address the posts and the scrtiptures provided in the posts and your reasons why you disagree with supporting scriptures. So far you have only just been repeating what you have already said the first time and ignored the posts and scriptures sent to you that disagree with you. So it is difficult to continue in this discussion without you first addressing the posts I send you.

Ok let's get to it.....

This is why I asked you many times earlier if you understand what the Old Covenant is, what makes up the old covenant amd what were the purposes of the Old Covenant law given to God's people BEFORE the cross. You never did respond. This is ok I can see you do not know so I am happy to share God's WORD with you so you can understand the scriptures you have quoted above.

WHAT IS THE OLD COVENANT?

there is many laws in the Torah but according to scritpure, the OLD Covenant laws were divided into (1) God's LAW (10 commandments) and the (2) Mosaic laws written in the book. God commanded Moses to keep these laws separated in the Ark of the Covenant that made up the Old Covenant.

God's LAW was written and made by God alone and notthing was to be added to it and the Mosaic law was made and written by Moses as directed by God in a book. God's LAW (10 commandments) was placed in the Ark of the Covenant. While the Mosaic book of the law was plaved in the side of the Ark of the covenant (
Ex 32:16; 34:28; Deut 4:13; 10:4Romans 3:20, 1 John 3:4; Romans 7:7; Ps 119:172; James 2:8-12; Hebrews 8:10-12; Gal 3:24; Deut 5:22; Ex 34:28; Deut 4:13; 10:4Ecc 3:14; God's LAW; Ex 25:16; Deut 10:5; Ecc 3:14; Book of the law; Deut 31:26; Col 2:14-17).

It is true indeed that both God's LAW and the Mosaic laws written in the book of the covenant collectively have the 613 commands. This being said both Gods' LAW and the Mosaic laws for remission of sin have a different purpose.

The purpose of God's LAW written on stone and the Mosic laws written in the book

1) God’s Law
(10 commandments)
Purpose; reveals what sin and righteousness (Good and Evil) is and describes the penalty for sin (
Romans 3:20; 1 John 3:4; Romans 6:23). It was never a cure for sin. But it was the work of God which is forever and the foundation of the Old Covenant, the New Covenant and the Judgement to come. (Exodus 32:16; Exodus 31:18; 31:18; Exodus 20:1-22; Deuteronomy 10:5; Romans 3:20; 1 John 3:4; Romans 6:23; Hebrews 7:19; Ecclesiastes 12:13-14, James 2:10-12, 1 John 3:4, Acts 17:31; Ps 111:7-8; Revelation 12:17; 14:12; 22:14; 1 John 3:5-8; 1 John 2:3-4; Ecclesiastes 3:14)

(2) The laws of Moses (Levitical, ceremonial, sacrificial)
Purpose; was the prescriptive cure for sin with all the Levitical and ceremonial laws, burnt offerings for sin, annual feast days foretelling the plan of salvation which were connected to Feast days with New Moon sabbaths, food and drink offerings and other Holy days. These where all types pointing to Jesus and the plan of salvation and provided a cure for sin through animal sacrifice and food and drink offerings and yearly sin atonement's for God’s people. (
Leviticus 1:1-13; Leviticus 23:1-44; Numbers 28:1-31; 29:1-40; Deuteronomy 24:10-11; Exodus 24:3; Deuteronomy 31:24-26; Colossians 2:16-16; Hebrews 10:1; Ephesians 2:14-15; Leviticus 4; 5; 6; Hebrews 4:14; 9;10; John 1:29; not exhaustive there are many more).

Why were the ceremonial laws of Moses (handwriting of ordinances) nailed to the cross and shadows of things to come......

Jesus was our true sacrifice for our sins and the Savior of the world that the ceremonial laws of Moses all pointed to. When Jesus came and died the old Covenant laws of Moses that pointed to Jesus and the plan of salvation was fulfilled (
John 1:29; 36; Revelation 5:6; 1 Corinthians 5:6-7; Hebrews 8:2-13; 9:1-28). Jesus is our true Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world and our sacrifice for our sins. It is our sins as well as the ceremonial laws of Moses that were nailed to the cross at the death of Jesus (Colossians 2:14; Ephesians 2:15; John 3:16).

So just as the Mosaic laws for remission of SIN are have a difference purpose to God's Law (10 commandments) they are all temporary Shadows because they were all pointing to Jesus and the plan of salvation. While God's Law is not temporary they are the manifestation of the Character of God through LOVE.

This is WHY the scriptures you quote above that you use to claim that to keep God's 4th Commandment is not true and does not hold any credability. It is because you apply the Mosaic laws written in the book pointing to Jesus and the plan of salvation to God's LAW (10 commandments) under the NEW COVENANT when they have already been fulfilled in Christ!

Now if you bothered to read the OP you would already understand this but the scriptures you quote and the application of them only show you have not read the OP or do you understand the scriptures you quote or the Old Covenant.

If you do not understand the Old Covenant how can you understand the NEW Covenant of LOVE with God's LAWS of stone written on the HEART in those who BELIEVE and FOLLOW him in LOVE?

If you do not agree with anything I have posted by all means please address the posts and the scrtiptures provided in the posts and your reasons why you disagree with supporting scriptures.

If you cannot why do you not BELIEVE God's Word? If you do not know what the Gospel is then you are building your house on the sand and great shall be the fall thereof.

God loves you and wants you to be ready for his return. If you hear his voice please harden not your heart. Search the scruiptures and see if these things be so.

MMD, continued just for you...... PART 2/4

We have touched on the Mosaic laws for remission of sin written in the book of Moses (TORAH) in the last post and how they were but shadows of things pointing to Jesus and God's plan of salvation in the NEW COVENANT.

NOW let's look at what God's Word says about God's LAW the 10 Commandments........

GODS LAW (10 commandments) ARE FOREVER

The Law of God (10 commandments) which includes the 4th commandment is the work of God (
Exodus 32:16) whatsoever God does is forever nothing can be added to it or taken away (Ecclesiastes 3:14).
God's Law is perfect converting the soul (
Psalms 19:7).
It is the very standard of the Old and New Covenants (
Exodus 20:1:17, Hebrews 8:10-12).
God's Law was spoken by God himself to His people (
Exodus 20:1-22). Jesus says Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away (Matthew 25:35). Gods Law is still in force today (Psalms 111:7-8, Revelation 12:17, 14:12, 22:14, 1 John 3:5-8, 1 John 2:3-4 etc.). The Law of God reveals sin to us so we can see ourselves as we truly are sinners in need of a Saviour (Romans 3:20; 1 John 3:4).It is the great standard of the judgement (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14, James 2:10-12, 1 John 3:4, Acts 17:31). God's Law is our teacher revealing sin and the character of God and brings us to Christ at the foot of the cross that we might be saved by faith by Him who loves us and washed us in His own blood (Galatians 3:24; Revelation 1:5). Jesus came not to abolish the law, but to fulfil it ( Matt 5:17-20 ). The law is the embodiment of truth that instructs ( Rom 2:18-19 ). It is "holy" and "spiritual, " making sin known to us by defining it; therefore, Paul delights in it ( Romans 7:7-14Romans 7:22). The law is good if used properly ( 1 Tim 1:8 ), and is not opposed to the promises of God ( Gal 3:21 ). Faith does not make the law void, but the Christian establishes the law ( Rom 3:31 ), fulfilling its requirements by walking according to the Spirit ( Rom 8:4 ) through love ( Rom 13:10 ).

You cannot know the power of God or the Gospel of Grace without the 10 commandments. If there is NO LAW then you do not know what SIN is (
James 2:11; Romans 7:7; Romans 3:20; 1 John 3:4). If you do not know what SIN is you have NO need of a Savior. If you have NO need of a Savior you have NO Salvation. If you have NO Salvation you are LOST because it is written.

Romans 2:12, For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law

Yes Christ is the end of the LAW not meaning God's LAW (10 commandments) is ABOLISHED because if God's LAW was abolished there would be NO KNOWLEDGE of SIN (
Romans 3:20) If there was no knowledge of SIN there would be no need for a Savior as no one would know they are SINNERS. IF we have no need of a Savior then we have no salvation. If we have NO Salvation then we are LOST and still IN our SINS.

What the scripture is talking about is that God's LAW brings us to Jesus. It shows us who we are because God's LAW is the standard of SIN and RIGHTEOUSNESS. It is the KNOWLEDGE of Good and Evil. It shows us that we are ALL SINNERS in need of a Savior and as the scriptures say.......

God's LAW is our school master that leads us to Christ that we might be justified by FAITH that is the meaning of Christ being the END of the LAW it means the God's LAW brings the SINNER to the CROSS

You cannot separate God's LAW (10 commandments) from GRACE the one leads to the other.

GOD'S LAW (10 commandments) KNOWLEDGE of SIN >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> CHRIST (end)

Christ is the END of the LAW the one leads to the other. The scripture does NOT say God's LAW is abolished which is how you are interpreting it.

There is a mountain of scripture presented in these two posts hope you can pray about them.

THE GOSPEL AND ANOTHER GOSPEL PART 3/4

The Gospel is a message of grace to be received through faith. The Gospel is not a set of rituals to perform, a code of laws to be obeyed or a check list of good works to accomplish as a prerequisite for salvation. The Gospel is not salvation by obeying the 10 commandments or keeping the Sabbath day. That is a "different" gospel
Hmm Strawman much? Who said we are saved by a set of rituals to perform, a code of laws to be obeyed or a check list of good works to accomplish as a prerequisite for salvation? Where have you ever heard me say such things. If you have not or cannot post any quote of me saying such thing, is your post above bearing false witness?

As you can see, LGF has a "counterfeit gospel" which equates to salvation by "grace plus law, faith plus works" and is no good news at all! His doctrine of salvation is a subtle mixture of law and grace that is a perversion of the Gospel. (Galatians 1:6-9) The Gospel is the "good news" of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) and is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that BELIEVES.. (Romans 1:16). To “believe” the Gospel is to trust in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ as the ALL-sufficient means of our salvation.
We are ONLY saved by GRACE through FAITH and NOT of OURSELVES it is a GIFT OF GOD and not of WORKS Lest any man should boast (Ephesians 2:8)

It's never been about following the law its always been about following Christ by faith through love alone. Faith that works by love is what fulfills God's Law in those that walk in His Spirit (Romans 13:8-10).

Obedience is only the fruit of faith and a sign that someone is genuinely following God's Word (Matthew 7:17-27). If you seek obedience without faith you will never attain it because this is the gift of God written on the heart (Ephesians 2:8; Galatians 2:16; Hebrews 8:10-12).

But if you believe God's Word, your faith will be counted for righteousness in God's eyes (Romans 1:17; Philippians 3:9). If your faith does not have the fruit of obedience (God's work in you) than you are still in your sins and have not seen him or known him and your faith is dead (Philippians 2:13; Hebrews 10:26-27; 1 John 2:2-4; 1 John 3:3-9).

What we are talking about is SIN and how SIN will keep all who practice it OUT of God's Kingdom. If you profess to have saving FAITH but your faith does NOT have the FRUIT of OBEDIENCE to God's Word then your faith is DEAD and you are still in your SINS and do not KNOW him who calls us in LOVE to LOVE all as he first LOVED us. LOVE is the fulfilling of the LAW in those who walk by FAITH in God's Spirit. (James 2:18; 20; 26; Romans 13:8-10; 1 John 3:3-10; James 2:8-12; Matthew 7:13-20)

There are only two classes of people spoken about in God's Word. These are those that follow God by Faith through LOVE and those that do not. Those that do NOT BELIEVE have rejected His Word. Those that have NOT Heard the WORD are ignorant and God winks at. Those that have heard the Word however and have rejected God's Word are UNBELIEVERS and unless they repent and confess their SINS they WILL NOT Enter into God's Kingdom (Hebrews 10:26-27)

It is true here as well you only show you do not understand what the Gospel is.

WHAT IS THE GOSPEL?

The Gospel is JESUS <Jesus means Savior; John 1:29> and JESUS is THE WORD OF GOD (John 1:1-14; 17:17; 14:6). THE WORD OF GOD is the GOSPEL BECAUSE BY FAITH IT IS OUR SAVIOR and this the IS GOOD NEWS to those who BELIEVE. (John 1:1-14; John 1:29; John 17:17; 14:6; Matthew 4:4)

Mark 1:1
The beginning of the GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST; THE SON OF GOD <the WORD OF GOD; John 1:1-14; 17:17; 14:6>

The death, burial and resurrection of Christ is a very important part of the Gospel but is that all there is to the Gospel?

Lets look at God's Word...................................

The Gospel means; G2098 εὐαγγέλιον euaggelion (ev-an-ğe'-liy-on) n. a good message; Good news).

Ok I think most know that the word Gospel means good news or a good message. So if you only believe that the Gospel is the death burial and resurrection of Christ, how do you harmonize the following scriptures.........................

After Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist............

Mark 1
15,
And saying, The time is fulfilled, and THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS AT HAND REPENT AND BELIEVE THE GOSPEL.

Wait a minuet? Jesus is ONLY JUST STARTING HIS MINISTRY and has NOT DIED, has not been buried and if he has not died and not been buried he certainly has not been resurrected. Yet here we have Jesus BEGINNING his MINISTRY and preaching the GOSPEL

and again..................

Mark 8
35,
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but WHOSOEVER SHALL LOSE HIS LIFE FOR MY SAKE AND THE GOSPELS, THE SAME SHALL SAVE IT.

Well here we have it again the Gospel is being preached BEFORE the death of Jesus and again.....................

Matthew 4
23,
And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and PREACHING THE GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

Seems like Matthew and Mark both agree that Jesus is preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom before the death of Jesus...

Matthew 9
35,
And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and PREACHING THE GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.

Yep Jesus still going about everywhere preaching the Gospel. His whole Ministry BEFORE His DEATH was preaching the GOSPEL..

Matthew 11
4, Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see:
5, The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and THE POOR HAVE THE GOSPEL PREACHED TO THEM.

and again..............

Matthew 24
14,
And this GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM SHALL BE PREACHED IN ALL THE WORLD for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Yep Jesus is still preaching the Gospel before His Death and Resurrection. Mathew and Mark both agree.....
Luke talks about Jesus in the Synagogue.....

Luke 4

17, And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,
18, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because HE HAS ANNOTATED ME TO PREACH THE GOSPEL TO THE POOR; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
19, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

Well it seems like Isaiah from the OLD TESTAMENT knew about the Gospel so the Gospel indeed was being preached BEFORE the DEATH, BURIAL AND RESURRECTION OF JESUS.......

Luke 7
22,
Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor THE GOSPEL IS PREACHED.

Yep Matthew, Mark and Luke all agree the Gospel was being preached BEFORE the DEATH, BURIAL AND RESURRECTION OF JESUS.......

Luke 20
1,
And it came to pass, that on one of those days, as he taught the people in the temple, and PREACHED THE GOSPEL, the chief priests and the scribes came upon him with the elders,

Yep there goes Jesus again teaching the people in the temple and preaching the GOSPEL before the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus.....

So ok lets bring it all together............

The Good New (Gospel) is JESUS and Jesus is the WORD OF GOD. It is the WORD OF GOD THAT IS THE GOSPEL that we are to BELIEVE IN AND LIVE BY. (Matt 4:4; John 1-1-4; John 3:16). Why do you say it is a "works based doctrine" when we have to BELIEVE EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDS OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD? It is by GRACE that we are SAVED <HOW?> THROUGH FAITH and NOT of your selves it is a GIFT of GOD and NOT of WORKS LEST ANY MAN should boast.

Now if you do not know what the GOSPEL is how can you preach it to others? Man does not live by bread alone but by EVERY WORD that proceeds out of the MOUTH of GOD.

Jesus's ministry started since he was a child but more so after the Baptism of John and his temptation in the wilderness where he soon after started preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom of God and REPENT FOR THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS AT HAND! (Matthew 4:17; 23; 9:35; 11:5; 24:14; 26:16)

Did you know that the Gospel was being preached BEFORE the NEW Testament scriptures (Hebrews 4:2)? The GOSPEL is indeed JESUS; the Word of God and he is the good news of the Old and NEW Testament scripture that we are to BELIEVE and FOLLOW.

In summary....

The "Gospel" (good news) is EVERY Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God and it is God's Word that we are to live by and have life (Matthew 4:4). The "Gospel" was being preached before the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus (e.g. Mark 1:15; 8:35; Matthew 4:23; Matthew 9:35; 11:5; 24:14; Luke 4:18; 7:22; 20:11)

The Good New (Gospel) is indeed Jesus, His life, death, resurrection and new administration as our great high priest, but Jesus is the Word of God. The Gospel is the WORD OF GOD and it is the WORD OF GOD that we are to BELIEVE and live by. (Matthew 4:4; John 1-1-4; John 3:16).

If we are NOT BELIEVING and LIVING by the WORD OF GOD we have yet to experience God's GRACE through FAITH, because OBEDIENCE is the FRUIT of FAITH. If their is NO FRUIT you are still in your SINS and do not know him who LOVES ALL (1 John 3:3-10; James 2:18; 20; 26; Hebrews 10:26-27; 6:4-8).

Search the scruiptures and see if these things be so.

.........................

Hope this helps..

PART 4/4

Now MMD this is for you as well... continuing If you do not know what the Gospel is how can you know what the COUNTERFEIT Gospel is?

Now we know what the Gospel is let's look at what God's WORD defines as the counterfeit GOSPEL........

THE COUNTERFEIT GOSPEL?

The Counterfeit GOSPEL is one that tries to separate God's LAW (10 commandments) from GRACE....
Why is God's Law important to helping someone to have faith in Christ alone?

Because it is only through GOD'S LAW (10 commandments) that any of us have a knowledge of what sin is (James 2:11; 1 John 3:4; Rom 3:20; 7:7).

If we do away with God's Law we have no knowledge of sin. If we have no knowledge of sin we have no need of a savior. If we have no need of a savior we have no salvation. If we have no salvation we are lost.

"For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law." (Rom 2:12).

God's Law shows us that we are sinners in need of a savior. God's Law was given to us that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God (Rom 3:19). It shows us that we are sinners and cannot save ourselves from this disease that we have within us so that we can by Faith lay hold of the promises of God's Words alone so that Jesus can save us from our sins.

Jesus did not come to save the righteous (those that think they do not need saving) but sinners (those that know their need of saving) (Matt 9:12-13; Mark 2:17; Luke 5:32) God's Law has always been part of the true Gospel of Christ. The counterfeit Gospel does not have it.

God's forever Law (the 10 commandments) is the standard of both the Old and the New Covenant and the very standard and basis of the true Gospel of Christ. It will be the basis of the judgement where we will all be accountable to God.

The Law of God is the only way of showing us who we truly are, sinners in need of a Saviour and in this condition we can see for the first time Him who loved us and washed us in His own blood and by faith only lay hold of the promises of God’s Word. (2Pet 1:4)

It is here as we believe God that he changes us from living a life of breaking God's Law to a life of walking with him (Romans 8:1-4).

It is through the operation of God through Love because he first loved us that we follow Jesus not for salvation but because of love. Love is the fulfilling of God's Law in us who walk not after the flesh (carnal sinful mind) but after the spirit and why Jesus says to his followers, "If you love me keep the commandments" (John 14:15).

People cannot see that this is the operation of God in the believer and assume God's people believe they are saved by their works, when in fact Jesus is saving us from our sins to walk in newness of life in fulfilment of His new Covenant promise (Heb 8:10-12)......

Gods Sheep hear His Voice salvation is from sin and sin is the transgression of God's Law (1John 3:4) whosoever is living in sin has neither seen him nor known him (1John 3:6)

Salvation is being saved from sin not in sin. That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit (Romans 8:4). Those that are still in their sins have neither seen him or know him (1 John 2:3-4, 1 John 3:3-10; Romans 13:8-10; James 2:8-12).

If you do not agree with anything I have posted by all means please address the posts and the scrtiptures provided in the posts and your reasons why you disagree with supporting scriptures.

How could anyone who claims to be a Christian even hesitate for one second to plainly say in a straightforward state that they believe in the Resurrection?
Honestly are you spreading lies now? Please show me where I have ever said to you or anyone here on this website or anywhere I do not believe in the Resurrection? You must be getting very desprate now. This is sad for you my friend..

This is exactly what I meant when I said that it is impossible to have an intelligent conversation with you!

You do not allow anything that disagrees with you to straightforwardly mean what it says.

There is no intelligent response to someone who redefines words to suit his purpose.
You are on ignore.
You cannot reason with someone who redefines words to suit their own purpose or continuously copies and pastes longwinded posts that are full of SDA nonsense, psycho babble and rhetoric. That's why I have him on IGNORE as well.

Not to mention he supports a website that promotes such ludicrous teachings! - https://www.beastsmark.com/markofthebeast

Hmm no disagreement and no scriptures to dispute the 4 posts showing you do not know the Gospel? I did not think so. This is also sad for you.

Trying to change the subject and pointing all away from God's Word to the words of website again?

How can you know God's Word when you rely on second hand information from those who may or may not be following God? If the blind shall lead the blind will not they both fall into the ditch? How will you find your way if your lamp has gone out when the raod is dark and narrow?

I will pray for you.

what is sad that now, after having been asked about it multiple times over the last week, or more, you have yet to straight forward admit that you believe in the Resurrection. you talk about it, but have not said " I believe in it "

Jesus asks the Disciples " who do men say I am " , the after Peter answered , Jesus said " who do YOU say I am ", showing that talking about something is NOT the same as making a personal confession of faith.

you have yet to say you believe in the Resurrection, or that Jesus is Lord and Savior. ( I confess both right now ). so, unless you do, your words are empty, I could care less what a non-Christ follower has to say about Scripture.

Yet you only ask the questions as a diversion to try and change the topic of discussion from the OP and the scriptures posted.

I have already said to you 3 times already I am happy to continue answering your questions by the GRACE of GOD if you promise to answer my questions that you ignore. You have ignored me 3 times even on this request. So until you agree to answer my questions I have stopped answering yours.

What you have written above is your own divising and is not true as to what I believe as you do not know what I believe because I have not answered your question.

If you do not know what I believe how can you say things that are not true if I have given you no such answer? If I have given you no such answer to your question then are you not spreading lies as to what I believe?

..............

Only God's Word is true and we should BELIEVE and FOLLOW him who LOVES us.
