Thanks for this thread, great topic. Some really good testimonies here and uplifting.

True faith can be talked about all day long with never a clear understanding of what it is by those who don't have it, because it must be lived out. True faith shows, it can't be kept secret. True faith is so powerful, that an unbelieving spouse can be persuaded without a word, by a believing spouse:

1 Peter 3:1 In the same way, you wives, be submissive to your own husbands so that even if any of them are disobedient to the word, they may be won without a word by the behavior of their wives, 2as they observe your chaste and respectful behavior.…

So I conclude, true faith shows, while the "faith imposter" is invisible.

(Natural faith) in Jesus that leads to the faith of Jesus (Supernatural faith) Amen.
Thank you for your perspective and your input here sister 3foldchord :)
Don't leave the MOST IMPORTANT PERSON, out of that equation leading to the conversion to Supernatural Faith, and that is the HOLY SPIRIT. I believe HE pours the LOVE of GOD into our hearts the very MOMENT HE ENTERS. That LOVE of GOD, brings our once dead human spirit to ETERNAL LIFE. ONCE our human spirit is eternally alive, it can HEAR with spiritual UNDERSTANDING the Word of GOD, for the first time.

Romans 5:5-9 (NASB)
[SUP]5 [/SUP] and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
[SUP]6 [/SUP] For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.
[SUP]7 [/SUP] For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die.
[SUP]8 [/SUP] But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinner{before we ever existed and did any good works}, Christ died for us.
[SUP]9 [/SUP] Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him.

Romans 10:17 (NKJV)
[SUP]17 [/SUP] So then faith comes by hearing {with born again spiritual ears}, and hearing by the word of God.

Sister Karraster,
T
hank you for your kind words and for your positive input into this discussion :)

Fruits that come with "true faith"(Natural faith that leads to Supernatural faith,
John 3:8) are apparent and powerful and would not go unnoticed. Fruits of faith are neither shown nor witnessed with the "faith imposter".

This would make a GOOD Topic for a brand new Thread. How about starting it there, instead of burying it here in this Thread?

TILL WE ALL COME IN THE UNITY OF THE FAITH, WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT THE MEANING OF THIS PART OF THIS VERSE

We know "natural faith" leads to "Supernatural faith". It's "one faith" as it pertains to all of us believers in Jesus Christ who have been given a measure of faith but that faith starts out natural with a carnal mind (without the Holy Spirit having dawned and risen in our heart) and leads to Supernatural (2 Peter 1:19) (with the Holy Spirit having dawned and risen in our heart). So there are 2 kinds of faith that lead to "one faith" as it is written, this is what we are discussing. Some say there are 5 faiths, some 2, some 3, and some one.

Ephesians 4:13
Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

Have you had a chance to look through the posts here?

Why do you want to know SeaBass? Besides in my younger years I did a lot of Church Hopping, looking for a GOOD Bible Teaching Church, and NONE of them, referred to Eph. 4:13 as their Vision Statement. Almost all of Mainline Churches that I tried, would have called this their Vision Statement:

Matthew 28:19-20 (NKJV)
[SUP]19 [/SUP] Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
[SUP]20 [/SUP] teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.

I did the research, and found an online list of Vision Statements from 30 different Churches and NOT ONE of them used Eph. 4:13 as their Mission Statement. AND Mat. 28:19-20 was the most common one.

Two kinds of faith #1
Does there exist two different kinds of faith, when we Christians speak of faith?
This is an interesting question and I would like to present some ideas for your consideration. First, James says, “Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.” IMO he is comparing the belief of Christians with the belief of devils and seems to be implying that their faith is not of a different kind than the faith of Christians but at a different level.
(1) First level mental assent, agreement with the mind as to the truth of certain proposition about God in which there is little if any personal involvement. The Holy Spirit was sent to convict the world, not just the elect, of sin, righteous and judgment. (John 16: 8-11) Those who are so convicted are pointed toward Jesus but no one can come to God unless drawn to Him by the conviction, love and hope revealed in the gospel message.
(2) Second level is when that conviction is mingled with love and hope, as faith without love is nothing. The individual receives Christ by believing in His name with all his heart. (Acts 8: 36- 39) At this stage he is begotten by God as the word is implanted in his heart and he is given the right to become a child of God. (John 1: 12, 13)
(3) Third level is “perfected” or complete faith, mature faith. Love is perfected by obedience (1 John 2: 5) and faith is similarly perfected. (James 2: 20-24) This is saving faith! (Heb. 5: 9) It is faith working through love. (Gal. 5: 6)
God bless.
