If someone wants to believe that everything is only 6000 years old its up to that individual. People believe all sorts of things It doesnt make them true. At one time you could get a good living as a Witch finder but we have moved on from there.

My faith has never been the same since it was pointed out to me that we can observe stars going supernova 10 billion Light Years From Earth. If the entire universe is only 6000 years old and the earth is the oldest thing in it then how did a star live out it's entire life cycle, go supernova and have it's light travel 10 billion light years to reach us?
If i tell you the Truth, will you believe it? Nevertheless i will tell you the TRUTH.

The 3rd Heaven, which is what we humans call Space, or the Universe, existed prior to the Earth ever being created. The Earth was created in 7 days exactly as God said He did in Scriptures. The Bible and the creation Story is solely for the Creation of the planet Earth, and the inhabitant thereof. Our Bible does not tell the Story about the Universe (3rd Heaven) and how it was created, nor when it was created. When you look up into the night sky, you are looking at a very small fraction of the Kingdom of Heaven. The Kingdom of Heaven existed for eons times eons times eons times eons, before the Earth was ever even thought of. It was only AFTER satan rebelled in the Kingdom of Heaven, that there was a need to create the Earth to confine satan and his followers there, preventing them from leaving the confines of their prison, which we humans call Earth. We humans are being tested to see who we will choose to serve, we are put into human flesh, even as Jesus came down in human flesh, and we are tested to see who we will choose to obey and follow and believe.

Tell me. If a Scientist were to have examined the Wine that Jesus made out of water that was seconds old, how old would the Scientist say the wine MUST BE? Another Question the Fish that seem to appear out of thin air, how old do you think those fish were, that was created in a mere second? How long does it take to make bread? Tell me, the Bread that Jesus made that was seconds old and seem to appear spontaneously, if that bread were examined by the scholars and scientists, how old would they say, that bread is, when in reality it is seconds old? Tell me, can God make a full grown Tree appear from nothing? Answer? Now tell me, if God makes a full grown tree. "pooof" there it is, and you cut it down and it has 200 rings in it, how old would the scientists say the tree MUST BE? When God just created it in a second.
Could God create a Planet in a day that appears to be millions of years old? Sure He can, and He did. Did He not create Man? Tell me, how old after 5 minutes of being created, would scientists say that MAN is? Was Adam created an infant? was he created a boy? Or was He created as a MAN in a matter of seconds, or minutes? How is it this generation can't understand these things?

The earth is more than 6,000 years old, but definitely not more than 15,000. Yet mankind says that dinosaurs lived billions of years before humans. The Bible says to let every man be a liar and God be right. Just because we don't know how something is possible, doesn't mean it's impossible.

Once they tried to trap Jesus in His words- if He answered yes, He'd be stuck, and if He answered no, He'd be stuck. But He answered "Those of you who have never sinned may throw the first stone." God is not trapped by mankind's understanding, or lack thereof. But on our part, without faith it is impossible to please God.

In the Old Testament they thought they could build a tower tall enough to reach God's throne. Their lack of understanding the details of why that wouldn't work, was not the subject. The subject was that they were disobeying God- Who said to spead out and cover the earth with humans- not stay in one spot and make a name for themselves (yet).

It is a dangerous thing to let your faith be violated just because you don't understand details of how God does something- like the stars. Recognize this- if there is only physicality, why do right and wrong exist? You must at the very least recognize that good and evil do exist, and therefore God and Satan exist.

But there are WITCHES. Satan exists, people that serve Him have Dark Powers. That another thread though, LOL.

The universe is much older, and so is the earth. No where does the bible say or even hint that the earth is 6000 years old. "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth". When was the beginning? No time table is assigned. Millions or billions of years may have passed after Genesis 1:1 and day one when God began to form the earth.

That is false thinking! God doesn't have to work within the constraints of science or how fast light travels. Your assumption is based on what science says and not about God with whom all things are possible. No one knows how old the universe is nor the earth. But scripture states that the earth was here before the sun, moon and stars, as they were all created on the fourth day. And the way that God did that was that He spoke all of them into existence. He didn't need billions of years to do it. You restrict God.
IMO rather needing billions of years or needing just days or just all of creation in just One mere breath, either way is a correct answer for God moves in either direction of time and space, to say just 6 days would just as easily be restricting God.

the teaching of creation IMO wasn't so much for those of old knowledge but of new knowledge gained today and a willingness to reach for it. Though no one is forced to come out of the caves to learn, it's a personal choice in thinking a few billion or a few days or one breath. though at some point it is healthy for the mind to come out of the caves for knowledge growth.

A true story a Japanese soldier in WW2 remained hidden in a cave on a remote island for over 30 years after the World War 2 had ended why because of fear he wouldn't allow his mind to think other whys. He had chained, shackled his thoughts.

So if God is able to create the entire universe and everything in it is it not possible for Him to create it with antiquity? Why so, that the foolishness of men might be made manifest.

why isn't it possible that God can't Create everything in the universe in a modernity way as well... why does it have to be just of antiquity thinking among modern believers...

And why is it impossible for Him to create it as it is, i.e. in billions of years? For Him, its like minutes.

Noah and family were on that ark for 13 months. The earth was completely flooded for 9 of those months. Land vegetation can no more survive 9 months under water than land animals. And yet, a dove brought back a live olive tree branch. How did that happen except by a miracle from God?

How did the universe come to be but through a miracle of God?

What's the impossible to God?

Why does the Earth have to be only 6,000 years old? There are old Earth creationists who believe the Earth and universe could be zillions of years old. There is the gap theory- In the beginning, the Earth was without form and void- meaning since there was a void, then there must have been some catastrophe we are not told about in Scripture. I don't think being either a young Earth creationist or an old Earth creationist makes much of a difference- although others here might.

Truth be known, the gap theorists came up with a whopper to try and coax the evolutionists and creationists into one boat. They even originally included a whole civilization coming and going in that "gap." It never worked for either the creationists or the evolutionists.

The Universe is 13.7 Billion years old, the Earth is 4.5 Billion years old. a YOM meaning a Day in Hebrew can mean about 50 things, Day is just one, a period of time is another, fullness is another, an age is another. The first day lasted 9.2 Billion years because on the 2nd Day in Genesis Earth was spoken of, 13.7 - 4.5 = 9.2.

Quantum Fluctuations (God) brought forth Inflation (After Glow) that lasted 380,000 years, then there was 400 Million years of Darkness before any Stars were formed. This makes God right in Genesis when he said that there was DARKNESS ON THE FACE OF THE DEEP !! The Evening (Darkness) CAME FIRST, then the Morning (Stars/Light). After the Darkness is spoken of, then God says, LET THEIR BE LIGHT !! The ORIGINAL meaning of YOM (DAY) in Hebrew was TO BE HOT. (Stars Created) Every Day after the first day has a PERIOD OF TIME also.

The Last day lasted from 300-350 Million BC until 6000 BC when man was Created, all of the Land Animals were Created on this, the 6th Day. On the 6th Day, the dinos were both Created and wiped out. Any man like Creature created before 6000 BC was not created in GODS IMAGE, thus it had no Soul, and was just a LIMITED ANIMAL.

3...2.....1........NO WAY DUDE...................

Way Dude.
In nonfiction as well as fiction, when a new term is used it is also defined. The term in the Bible was "day." The definition was immediately given.

Gen. 1:3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4 And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness.5 God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.

So, reinventing the wheel into a hodge podge of excuses culminating in part cone and part rectangle hits -- NO WAY, DUDE!

Exodus 20:11 For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth the sea and all that is in them... Yom only means one thing here. Genesis is the only place in the Bible where people argue about the meaning of yom.
...and it's really a dumb argument since the definition of the word is given right there. lol

And if the Universe is 13.7 Billion years old, AND IT IS, then what word was Moses/God suppose to use in a Hebrew Language that had under 4000 Words. And by the way, YOM is used in many places, as things other than DAY.

yowm {yome} from an unused root meaning to be hot; TWOT - 852; n m (Original Meaning is not DAY)

—Brown-Driver-Briggs (Old Testament Hebrew-English Lexicon)

1) day, time, year
1a) day (as opposed to night) 1b) day (24 hour period) 1b1) as defined by evening and morning in Genesis 1 1b2) as a division of time 1b2a) a working day, a day's journey 1c) days, lifetime (pl.) 1d) time, period (general) 1e) year

—NAS Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible with Hebrew-Aramaic and Greek Dictionaries

 • yom (398a); a prim. root; day:—

Yom means what God meant it to mean, a Period of Time.
You're 52 years old, for Pete's sake. How many times has the age of the earth been changed in your lifetime by these same "scientists" you trust so much now? I remember when it was only a few million years old and the universe was much, much younger than it is now. (And the difference has nothing to do with the piddly extra years I've gained. lol)

Want some land directly east of Atlantic City I'm selling? I like gullible.

I've always found the redundancy in those and these verses interesting, IMO a ancient mind that was not quite sure what was being said though he only had his own language and knowledge to go by, honorably stated and just by the writer, though quite the fitting purpose for future minds to grasp not much different than the ancient, may take a few more decades or longer to open..

{1:18} And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness.
{1:16} And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: [he made] the stars also.
{1:17} And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
{1:14} And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night;
{1:5} And God called Day the light, and the Night he called darkness.

Since you are completely convinced that yours is the correct view, I see no further point in attempting to share with you an alternate view. Personally, I'm glad that God gave the seventh yom as a period of rest, and meant approximately 24 hours. If you want to work for six billion years before you rest, go right ahead. :)
Can I take a billion years of rest before I start with the six billion of work?
