We labour to enter rest the same way we labour to enter salvation. By Grace through Faith and not of works.

By Coming to Christ.

Spiritually the life he came to give sorry yes I am waiting for you to join in the tabernacle per Hebrews 8, the one God pitched not man.
Born again is to be alive in the Spirit of God and dead to the flesh, yet the flesh is held alive by the Spirit of God Brother
We are ambassadors representing the kingdom of God, the Love. Joy, peace and righteous that God has us participate in. thank you Jesus

These are all future tense and has dual meaning.

1) (Day for a year principle - Num 14:34 and Ezek 4:6) In the third day of the Tribulation Israel will repent adn turn to God and will be spared much of hte horror of the Day of the Lord.

2) (Day for 1000 year principle - II Pet 3:8) As Hizikyah so rightly pointed out, two thousand years after His crucifixion His Millenial reign begins and the true rest of Crhist comes to earth...

Isa 14:7 The whole earth is at rest and quiet; They break forth into singing.

We today are in the New Covenant not of levite tribe, Christ was not from the Levite tribe rather the tribe of Judah, in the order of Melchisadek
Hebrews 9:15-17 and Heb. 7:11-12 clear as a bell. We also by Father have been transferred from death to life, here now by the Spirit of God, by Faith

It's labouring to come to the understanding it is all God and none of man at all, read in the day of provocation and the reason why they would not enter his rest, because they said out of one side of their mouth they beleive and out of the other side they did their own thing acting as if they serve God, when in truth they served self and those they loved only. Still going on today. Works of the Law and grace from God do not mix. The same as what happens to old wine-skins, when new wine is put in to the old, when the wine ferments the old wine-skin can't handle it and bursts open. The same as for Flesh can't handle the Spirit, and needs to be reckoned dead with Christ at Christ's death in order to be led by God.
This is how Christ himself walked by God in the Spirit period led by Father as we are today to be too. Read Romans 6:1-11

We all need a day of rest each week. I don't think it matters what day it is, though.

We all sacrifice something, abel a lamb and cain a pile of fruit, did it matter?
We all have long hair or short hair did it matter to Samson?


If it did not matter, why did satan have priests burn heretics for 1200 years if the read the Bible, if it doesnt matter satan shouldjust leave everyone alone

did it matter if Jesus turned a rock into bread or not?
wrong choice would have lost the whole war

Walk by Faith and love from God permeates through that one, God gets all the credit where as when one works, a pay is expected, and nullifies the gift from God through Son giving new life in the Spirit via the resurrected Christ, a gift through if one believes God or not

James 2:24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only

You might enjoy reading Sabbath in Christ by Dale Ratzlaff.

He is an ex Seventh Day Adventist pastor and his book is very much in line with your initial post.

I am a former member of Worldwide Church of God which taught Sabbathkeeping.

The real Sabbath has nothing to do with the Catholic Gregorian (pope Gregory) calendar. That calendar is the cause for much Sabbath controversy for the most part. The Gregorian calendar has more to do with paganism than Christianity.

The First Day: Sunday was named after the Sun god.
The second Day: Monday was named after the moon goddess.
The Third Day: Tuesday was named after the god Tyr.
The Fourth Day: Wednesday was named after the god Odin.
The Fifth Day: Thursday was named after the god Thor.
The Sixth Day: Friday was named after the goddess Frigga.
The Seventh Day: Saturday was named after the god Saturn.
