If I had to summarize my painful experience in the Seventh-day Adventist church, I could do it in a single line. To me SDA stands for Stasi Demon Agency.

If I had to explain just a little bit further, then adding one key line by Chris Hedges comes to mind: "The Nazis broke bones; the Stasi broke souls."

For those that want to know more, I consider my criticisms of showcase doctrines to be a good introduction.

Run from it and find a church that preaches the cross.

Why do you need to be disfellowshipped? I felt the same way about the Methodist church. I just left and never looked back.

Seek it God's way...

Rom 12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
Rom 12:20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
Rom 12:21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

I wanted to be disfellowshipped from the Baptist Church. I did.
I wanted to be disfellowshipped from the Independent Church. They did me.
I wanted to be disfellowshipped from my home church.....where do I go from there?

"Abused" is a massive word which usually happens in a constitution, intervened by the police force and ends up in the court of law.

I have committed the greatest of all possible sins

Dude just leave and kick the dust off your feet.
I can't leave of my own accord. Christ has to rescue me. I have been imprisoned by my ridiculous hope that the SDA church could repent. As it stands, the SDA church refuses to release me from my continual mental anguish, which has been going on for years. In their judgment, I'm not worthy to be disfellowshipped. I have committed the greatest of all possible sins. I have spoken against "the holy order."

if someone bases their life on some else's decisions,
they are relinquishing all of their power and self=responsibility.

unhealthy, emotional attachments, no matter how painful
have to be sharply cut asunder, or else you
are just playing a game.

it's like a fisherman reeling-in a fish,
and finding out that he is the fish.

I haven't attended any Seventh-day Adventist church in the last 16 years. And my many unpleasant reoccurring dreams about discovering that I was in a SDA church have stopped 3 years ago. I still feel right in asking for justice.

You are a prisoner of your own making. Don't believe or follow any man, follow Christ.

Act 20:29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
Act 20:30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
Act 20:31 Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.
