10:2 Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.10:1 Hear ye the word which the LORD speaketh unto you, O house of Israel:10:3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.10:4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. Jeremiah

But when the Gentiles converted to Christianity, they have kept some of their traditions and combined them to the Jewish tradition but did it in the name of Jesus, and so that God accepted it because they didn't knew any better.

Whether it is July or December does not mean that I will not cease to tell people about God's word.

Constantine mixed false pagan holidays with Christianity , you can't mix truth with a lie . Christmas isn't about worshiping God it is about the doctrine of the devil or demons which is the Greek word daimonion meaning to distribute fortunes . And it is hidden by a lie , lying to your children about a fat man taking the place of Hod Judging Good And Evil And Rewarding Based On What He sees. Horrible

The biggest problems with Christian Holidays is not where they come from, but where they are going.

Materialism. Now I know that not all people allow materialism to invade their Christian Holidays, but it seems to be a big problem...in the US anyways.

I do, I have joy in the truth of the lord, unfortunately nobody knows the truth, and the truth seems doom and gloom to them probably because it is to their belief systems

So if nobody knows the truth, does that include you?

No. A lot of people do believe in predestination and God's word, all that God causes too. But many claimed believers these days think they know the truth but believe the opposite . I am looking for the lost sheep who hear God's word. Most people like in Jesus day will think I am antichrist and an idiot and persecute me but this is a good thing God said. Most people want to believe in free will out of love for themselves

yes all through the bible God condems mans traditions,

christmas tradation actualy started long ago.

3For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. 4They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.
5They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.

Well God did; He accepted the foods that they have eaten like the shellfish and the pig which were basically a Mediterranean foods that they have ate. A part of showing mercy is acceptance and which God has accepted the condition that they were in.

The meat usually used in Greece and Cyprus is pork, although chicken and lamb may also be used. In other countries and for tourists, souvlaki may be made with meats such as lamb, beef, chicken and sometimes fish (especiallyswordfish). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Souvlaki

Archaeologists tell us humans have been eating crustaceans (lobsters, crabs, shrimp) from prehistoric times to present. They know this from excavating "middens," deposits of shells and bones left by early civilizations. These foods weren't "discovered" (like early people "discovered" some corn popped if placed near the fire) but noticed. The earliest hunter-gatherers took advantage of every available food resource. People who lived near water (oceans, seas, lakes, rivers) naturally took advantage of the foods offered by these resources. http://www.foodtimeline.org/foodlobster.html

Come on now OP you are not a victim and being attached here you are a sinner just like the rest of us and just because we may not believe everything you post does not mean we are not believers or that we don't believe the Bible.

Each of us are on a journey with Jesus and we might be on different rungs of the ladder of Christianity, but it does not mean that we are lost or that we are against you. Aren't we all seeking to be like Jesus and follow Him? It is the Holy Spirits job to convict and convince us of sin right?

God had accepted the Hellenistic Jews and the gentiles that were still celebrating "Yule" and their customary foods like pork and shellfish as offering as thanksgiving.

Here is what God says about Christmas, Easter, Halloween, Lent, Sunday worship and Good Friday.

Deuteronomy 12:29-31 When the LORD goes ahead of you and destroys the nations and you live in their land, do not fall into the trap of following their customs and worshiping their gods. Do not inquire about their gods, saying, ‘How do these nations worship their gods? I want to follow their example.’ You must not worship the LORD the way the other nations worship their gods, for they perform for their gods everything the LORD hates.
