Bear one another's burdens. This fulfills the ministry of CHRIST

there are those who have been given much and much is required
and the one who knows HIS Masrers will and does not do it is guilty of many stripes
Didn't you know since HE is the Master HE can direct HIS own and that HIS OWN can recognize their Master

LOL. You're not trackin'. It's a metaphor. A metaphor for the Christian life.
Oh I am trackin sir. And I hold to ONE DOOR by which all must FIRST enter in in order to be a "member" of HIS BODY

a man who has the RIGHT GARMENT knows he has the RIGHT GARMENT and the man who doesn't have the RIGHT GARMENT really can't enter in without it

Passive "work" and active work...
what a contradiction.

Manna or "quail"...
Whatever should we choose?

Not that we sit on our laurels sir...but there are many seasons to enter into
And to have and show faith in seasons of plenty, it is very easy to have and show our faith in these times.
It is another thing completely to have and show faith in seasons of "job"...(and ""Job" meaning THAT JOB...as the one whom THE HEDGE of GOD'S PROTECTION was removed for a seasons)...

Not a fun time for Job...

And what "work" should we do in that season?

John 15 is STILL sufficient, sir...

or simply put....not by power or by might, but by MY SPIRIT sayeth the LORD...REMAIN IN HIM and do not "go out"
Be still and know that HE (in all seasons) is GOD...even when HE hides HIS FACE (temporarily) from "Jacob's struggles".

Blessed the man who waits and keeps HIS GARMENT with him

Not that we are literally oxen or sheep or branches even...those are all simply metaphors of the "members" of ONE BODY with CHRIST as BOTH the FOUNDATION and HEAD of HIS OWN BODY...and as HEAD of HIS OWN BODY, able to direct the "members" of HIS BODY as HE chooses...

REMAIN IN HIM
A branch cut off from the vine...really can't bring forth anything.

What comes after the discipleship stage?

Discipleship is also know as "sanctification." That takes our whole life. After that comes glorification. Which also could be when Jesus returns.

No you assumed I wasn't in the field working with God.

My question was what to tell new believers. And do you really not understand why I wrote it out? I'll tell you why because these head knowledge ideas need reality. In order to do that, we make it into a real experience, that's actually what true Biblical understanding is.

The point is the things that are being taught in some of these posts, would never hold weight in the real world.

Because if you did have a checklist it would be probably be religion. So I gave you one, but the idea is still the same, trying to do something to keep your salvation.

Now if you say obedience comes from being saved our conversation is different. Namely, why do you have the ability to follow God? Because you are a new creation in Christ. And you are sealed with Holy Spirit. So if these 2 things are actually true according to Scripture losing your salvation makes no sense.

No matter what (very very few) Scriptures you can pull out to try to come against the simple ones.

And you quoting Ecclesiastes is fitting because it's OT, which is what some of these concepts are derived from, and it's from a person who was extremely depressed. Who said there is no meaning in the world. All is vanity. Which is exactly where some people are at because everything is religion to them, they don't have joy, just like the older son didn't who worked in the field.

C.

What's interesting is I gave you a single suggestion..... & you totally missed it. Did you think I was just being sarcastic?

As for the rest of your post, why write a fictitious story that has no meaning?

Ecclesiastes 5:7 (NASB)
[SUP]7 [/SUP]For in many dreams and in many words there is emptiness. Rather, fear God.

It is easy to imagine the following two Bible readings contradict each other. If you don’t trust the Lord, you might, therefore, dismiss them. However, there is no contradiction. I will try to explain:

The yoke of the Lord indeed is light. However, there is a minimal effort required on our part, and those willing to put forth a minimal effort, apparently, are few.
When Jesus said "Come follow me" that is just the doorway.

Jesus is saying His way is good for you, and when you learn it, you will find it is life itself. It is though difficult to walk through all the struggles and illusions, all the loyalties and problems. They appear like great mountains, impossible to climb, yet they will be overcome.

But another side to this equation is following Jesus will cost you your life, will change you forever. There is a real price to pay and something will have to change.

You will hear some say as soon as it is you doing anything, that is wrong because faith in Christ is just God working in our hearts, we just have to let it happen.

So they hate the yoke and oxen analogy, because it does not fit their faith. There will never be a burden for them, they are lost sinners who found Christ, and are always sinners. So change is not even on the agenda, it is for them a religious self righteousness, trying to be something you can never be doomed to failure.

I call them mystics, and you will recognise them by their language and condemnation.

Another side to the equation is the lack of understanding that it is one House and the Master over the House is allowed to give to each what He has prepared each in advance that they should do
Its when the others in the house keep looking and judging their brother and sister work that seems to be the bigger issue

John 14:15
If ye love me, keep my commandments.
16And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

18I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you

Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. 20At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you. 21He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

Act 5:29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
Act 5:30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.
Act 5:31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
Act 5:32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.

"They, They, They"...

Is still arbitrating for GOD when GOD is NOT an arbitrator and came to make ONE out of the two...(jew, the one who had the word and promises of GOD and gentile, the one who did not have the word and promises of GOD).

The Holy Spirit is given by God to them that obey Jesus. We have a perfect example of that when Peter went to Cornelius's house and preached the gospel.

Obeying Jesus is believing in the gospel of grace that says your sins are all forgiven because of Christ.

Acts 10:43-47 (NASB)
[SUP]43 [/SUP] "Of Him all the prophets bear witness that through His name everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins.
"
[SUP]44 [/SUP] While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who were listening to the message.

[SUP]45 [/SUP] All the circumcised believers who came with Peter were amazed, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also.

[SUP]46 [/SUP] For they were hearing them speaking with tongues and exalting God. Then Peter answered,

[SUP]47 [/SUP] "Surely no one can refuse the water for these to be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we did, can he?"

Paul talks about the same process in Ephesians 1:13.

Ephesians 1:13 (NASB)
[SUP]13 [/SUP] In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise,
