Here is another SDA cult member who thinks a Christian discussion group is full of lost Pagans. I think we have all noticed that the world is getting worse most have at least some notion of what the Bible says about the last days. I have not yet worked out
whether SDA adherents have a genuine interest in our Salvation or whether they just like to needle people and feel superior in the supposed knowledge they alone believe they possess.I personally feel that someone who depends on the filing ability of Jesus, (belief he has been sorting out our files for 2000 years to check if we are saved or not ie investigative judgement), is not a person I would trust to lead me on the supposed correct path. Rather I think He or She is a sandwich short of a Sabbath School Picnic.
4 ‘These are the feasts of the Lord, holy convocations which you shall proclaim at their appointed times. 5 On the fourteenth day of the first month at twilight is the Lord’s Passover. 6 And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the Feast of Unleavened Bread to the Lord; seven days you must eat unleavened bread. 7 On the first day you shall have a holy convocation; you shall do no customary work on it. 8 But you shall offer an offering made by fire to the Lord for seven days. The seventh day shall be a holy convocation; you shall do no customary work on it.’” Leviticus 23
The Sabbath and the Lords day are two different things. The Sabbath was meant for Jews. The Lords day is the celebration of Christs resurrection. He rose on the first day of the week. Also in all but one of the times he appeared to the Disciples after the resurrection it was nearly always on the first day of the week. The only exception does not say which day he appeared. If it was so vital for Christians to observe the sabbath he would have plainly said so on those occasions and there would be no debate.
Also when he spoke to the rich young ruler Jesus listed the commandments he was required to obey. The sabbath is not listed. If it was so vital for people to observe it one would think it would be the first thing Jesus would mention. I have no problem with people who observe the sabbath. I do have a problem with those who try to force their ideas on other people If am condemned to hell for not keeping the sabbath what is it to you?
I assume that this is a response to my last posting. Does the truth offend you? Legalism offends me and you seem to
be in bondage to it in the same way as the lJudaisers were i in Pauls day. Christ set me free from the Law. There is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. Paul said that if you live by the law you have to keep all of it not just parts you
choose to keep. The law in its entirety cannot be kept. the Jews never did and neither will you. If you choose to remain in bondage than that is your choice, but stop trying to entrap others. I surmise from your last posting that you are a member of the so called Church of God. My Sister was a member of that wretched cult but eventually managed to escape from it. I sincerely pray that you do likewise.
Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. Therefore let us keep the Festival, not with the old bread leavened with malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. (1 Corinthians 5:7-8)
not "once a year"
once for all time. (Hebrews 10:1-18)
“The days are coming,” declares the Lord,
“when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch,
a King who will reign wisely
and do what is just and right in the land.
In his days Judah will be saved
and Israel will live in safety.
This is the name by which he will be called:
The Lord Our Righteous Savior.
“So then, the days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when people will no longer say, ‘As surely as the Lord lives, who brought the Israelites up out of Egypt,’ but they will say, ‘As surely as the Lord lives, who brought the descendants of Israel up out of the land of the north and out of all the countries where he had banished them.’ Then they will live in their own land.” (Jeremiah 23:5-8)
that King - the BRANCH - He has come.
see also Jeremiah 16:14-16
He has sent many fisherman to catch His people. this time is at hand already, when they will no longer swear by the Passover of Egypt.
on which day of our lives should we not be sprinkled with His blood?
but "everyone should be convinced in their own mind" -- there is no cause to judge each other over a festival for those baptized into Moses.
(I'm asking, because the only way you know what day Sabbath is if you know which day is the first day of the year. It's eluded to in the Bible, but do you even know that much?)
Bzzz. You failed. The first day was Passover. Since you don't know what the first day was, you cannot guess when Sabbath is. Sabbath Righteousness and Passover Righteousness do not get you to heaven.
So again, you're no prophet. You really need to learn your Bible before pretending you are. No one is buying this malarkey as gospel anyone, so how about joining those who actually know the gospel?
