Its pretty simple, sex before marriage is fornication and fornication is forbidden by the scripture.
So are a lot of other things and I don't see Christians raising a fuss about those. Remarriage is adultery. Do you call anyone who has been married 2 or 3 times guilty of adultery?

Paul had the answer for fornication, get married. Instead the church and some Christians are pushing purity before marriage that is just harming many Christians. The church should have a group for those looking for marriage, and teach them the realities of marriage and how to choose a mate.

Matthew 19:12, NLT: Some are born as eunuchs, some have been made eunuchs by others, and some choose not to marry for the sake of the Kingdom of Heaven. Let anyone accept this who can.'

Jesus connects marriage to sexual appetite, saying that not everyone is able to "receive this" idea of not getting married (Matthew 19:8–11).

Paul says something very similar in 1 Corinthians 7. He describes his ability to be unmarried and unburdened by overwhelming sexual desire as a gift from God that allows him to be undistracted in his ministry. He makes it clear, though, that not everyone has this gift and that they should marry instead of "burning with passion" and risking sexual sin (1 Corinthians 7:7–9).

Stop pushing purity on everyone. Jesus and Paul did not.

I guess the close encounter with God was what only happend to me and occured close to my decision to honor Him and obey Him. Truth is I can't say if it was a reward or not, but whatever reason this close encounter happened, I am grateful. My main hope is that we all have a very close relationship with our loving Father.
A while back, I went through a rather uncomfortable bout of illness. I did not understand at the moment, but I have come to realize that it was a blessing. It changed me. I now value peace in the soul and the ability to have good restfulness at night far more highly than any pleasures of the flesh. Feeling fresh and clean and pure is such a wonderful thing. I thank God for bringing me to this wonderful place.

Psalm 23
1(A Psalm of David.) The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

I pray comfort, peace, contentment, and the deepest kind of joy from our Lord be upon you and your families forever and ever.
Godspeed.

I have a short timers attitude. I long for heaven so I more or less don't find much of very great importance.
Amen. Me too. The far look...

Matthew 6
19Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
20But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Marriage is simple. Commit yourself to the biblical principles of husbandship and fatherhood, Find a woman who shares your faith and values who is committed to the biblical prescription for married life, and marry her and do your due diligence to the biblical role. You will be married forever and will be happy for it.
You will be married until one of you dies. No matter how good it is, Marriage is not forever.

Except, of course, for that last great fine and most glorious of all marriages. :)

Revelation 19

7Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.

8And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

9And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

But since sexual immorality is occurring, each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman with her own husband. 1 Corinthians 7:2

But if they can’t control themselves, they should go ahead and marry. It’s better to marry than to burn with lust. 1 Corinthians 7:9

You are really going against scripture here and pushing some men to burn with lust. Is there no compassion in you? Paul was showing compassion.
Are you saying Jesus and Paul were wrong?

Marriage is not that simple. You have to know each others likes and dislikes. It's knowing and accepting each others differences and to be willing to change.

Don't we look forward to that! I'm ready, not wanting to wait (but maybe the Master has other ideas?). I am consoled by the fact (to me) that heaven is not that far off even on earth. The only thing we don't have is the direct presence of God, if we did we would be a crispy critter. But in every other way, since He dwells in us, we can be very close, we can know who He is, we can partialy understand the glory of heaven.

You don't have to know your potential spouse's sexual likes and dislikes via physical trial and error prior to marriage...

Throughout history, even in Jesus' time people were being very legalistic when is it came to the definition of adultery - physical penetration was the definition and anything else was fair game according to the most legalistic of them.

This is why Jesus said that even looking at a woman with lust in your heart was a sin.

Your sitting here like a pharisee with the most legalistic attitude when it comes to sexual acts and behaviors with women instead of following the spirit of the law, and the spirit says all sexual attitudes and behaviors are blessed within the confines of an actual marriage and never outside of it, not even the most mild of acts like looking with a lustful heart.

We, as children of the living God through the power of the Holy Spirit have the power and ability to follow the Spirit of the law.

Will we falter and sometimes fail because of the weakness of our flesh? Yes... But we get back up again and do better out of our love of the God of Salvation.

Perhaps it is because of a lack of faith, by many times life feels like a bumpy, scary, and painful rollercoaster to me. I want to just glide along on a glassy sea.

Having said that, I feel mighty blessed and mighty fine at moment. All my needs he is providing, but I still worry about next week. Pray that I keep focusing on His daily provision of manna.

You better know if they like kissing and hugging. If you marry someone who is cold toward anything physical, you have major problems.

Look at the meaning of looking at a woman. He is talking about having an intent toward that woman. You are making plans to commit adultery.

Are you willing to step up and be the husband the bible talks about being in marriage or is marriage to you simply all about sex? It seems to be your main focus.

You should ask questions about the topics that are important to you, not test drive her.

Really sounds to me your trying to justify your sin. By the way, that never goes well with God.

The word translated as woman is gyne, which can mean either woman or wife. Some scholars believe that Jesus is only talking about lusting after another's wife, not the attraction of a man to a woman in general. Sexual desire is not condemned in Matthew or in the contemporary literature, only misdirected desire

Jesus and Paul were very clear the primary reason for marriage was to have sex.

It appears you're making any sexual desires a sin. Do you really think couples should not have any romantic contact until after marriage?

I think that may be your primary reason.
Paul said it is better to marry than to burn. This seems very clear he was saying to get married to handle the desires or you will commit fornication.
