Don't need Statements of Faith, when the preachers are preaching the requirement from the Pulpit as in my above video. The proof is in the pudding, as the old saying goes.

do a YouTube search for 'the tithe is the Lord's', and you can find many sermons from many denominations that twist the Scripture to manipulate the gullible congregants.

I said it before. There is much in the NT that is not taught and much that isn't in the NT that is taught.

NT Not Taught: opposed to, Isn't in NT that is taught

Elders/pastors work jobs. Acts20. Opposed to, Man quits job, become pastor

Single pastor not to be found. Opposed to, One executive pastor at top

Offerings went to poor and traveling preachers only. Opposed to, Tithes and offerings go to pastor and church building

Elders/pastors serve humbly, not for money. Opposed to, One man exalted above others who is served and obeyed and paid

Rev.21:6. ......I(Jesus) will give unto him that thirsts the fountain of living water if he first pays a pastor his tithes and offerings.
That is what the church believes.

Here's what the word actually says..'.....give unto him that thirsts the fountain of living water .......wait for it...wait for it....here it comes....you're gonna get mad at me.....you're gonna boo hoo some, grab the Kleenex...the fountain of living water(I can't hardly say it)....FREELY!!........ouch!....told you you're gonna get mad at me....I'm outta here baby....vavavoom!!

This is why I do not discuss trinity nor tithing. Tithing is completely different in during the biblical text because today's tithing is all about greed. God never said 10% of ones income that is man made because it is truly a tax created by Herod the Great. Do your own research about this matter! I know folks will debate over that also, but truth is difficult to swallow. I am starting to believe people cannot handle truth even when there is evidence.

I have to admit. You are a master at twisting scripture to fit the way you want. Also very persistent at it.

This has absolutely nothing to do with tithing. I can't believe you took such wonderful scripture and applied it to such a petty discussion.

Revelation 21:6New King James Version (NKJV)

6 And He said to me, “It is done![a] I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.

Petty like in useless, small. Boy we do disagree Kefa. The church charges tithes, God gives freely. That's not a small thing. Especially for those who are on the low income scale.
You still 'don't regard to know it' Proverbs 29:7. about the robbing of the poor.
You sound like a card carrying Pharisee. I'd be ashamed to be that hard hearted Kefa.
Don' tell me about the beauty of a verse that you say I am hacking. The beauty of that verse you are missing completely....God does not charge for His free gifts!

You are the one that not only twists the word to fit 'church' but you are, as most Christians, avoiding much of His word...the parts that slam dunks church doctrine.

Hello my friend. I discuss, all day long, those things that are contrary to sound doctrine. Paul did. Jesus did. The other writers did. Why did they? To help free the slaves from their cruel task masters.....the religious clerics!

I have never ever been told in any Christian church that I must tithe. Neither of them sell tickets at the door either.

Saying that tithing is wrong because a few churches abuse it is called "all or nothing thinking." An irrational belief / cognitive distortion from an irrationality..

Here is all the scripture I could find about tithing.

Malachi 3:8-10 ESV / 77 helpful votes

Will man rob God? Yet you are robbing me. But you say, ‘How have we robbed you?’ In your tithes and contributions. You are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing me, the whole nation of you. Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.

Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

Acts 20:35 ESV / 26 helpful votes

In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”

Jesus looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the offering box, and he saw a poor widow put in two small copper coins. And he said, “Truly, I tell you, this poor widow has put in more than all of them. For they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.”

Matthew 6:24 ESV / 18 helpful votes

“No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.

“If among you, one of your brothers should become poor, in any of your towns within your land that the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart or shut your hand against your poor brother, but you shall open your hand to him and lend him sufficient for his need, whatever it may be. Take care lest there be an unworthy thought in your heart and you say, ‘The seventh year, the year of release is near,’ and your eye look grudgingly on your poor brother, and you give him nothing, and he cry to the Lord against you, and you be guilty of sin. You shall give to him freely, and your heart shall not be grudging when you give to him, because for this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in all that you undertake. For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore I command you, ‘You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land.’

“You shall tithe all the yield of your seed that comes from the field year by year. And before the Lord your God, in the place that he will choose, to make his name dwell there, you shall eat the tithe of your grain, of your wine, and of your oil, and the firstborn of your herd and flock, that you may learn to fear the Lord your God always. And if the way is too long for you, so that you are not able to carry the tithe, when the Lord your God blesses you, because the place is too far from you, which the Lord your God chooses, to set his name there, then you shall turn it into money and bind up the money in your hand and go to the place that the Lord your God chooses and spend the money for whatever you desire—oxen or sheep or wine or strong drink, whatever your appetite craves. And you shall eat there before the Lord your God and rejoice, you and your household. ...

For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the Most High God, met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him, and to him Abraham apportioned a tenth part of everything. He is first, by translation of his name, king of righteousness, and then he is also king of Salem, that is, king of peace. He is without father or mother or genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but resembling the Son of God he continues a priest forever. See how great this man was to whom Abraham the patriarch gave a tenth of the spoils! And those descendants of Levi who receive the priestly office have a commandment in the law to take tithes from the people, that is, from their brothers, though these also are descended from Abraham. ...

Now it is superfluous for me to write to you about the ministry for the saints, for I know your readiness, of which I boast about you to the people of Macedonia, saying that Achaia has been ready since last year. And your zeal has stirred up most of them. But I am sending the brothers so that our boasting about you may not prove empty in this matter, so that you may be ready, as I said you would be. Otherwise, if some Macedonians come with me and find that you are not ready, we would be humiliated—to say nothing of you—for being so confident. We want you to know, brothers, about the grace of God that has been given among the churches of Macedonia, for in a severe test of affliction, their abundance of joy and their extreme poverty have overflowed in a wealth of generosity on their part. For they gave according to their means, as I can testify, and beyond their means, of their own accord, begging us earnestly for the favor of taking part in the relief of the saints— and this, not as we expected, but they gave themselves first to the Lord and then by the will of God to us. ...

He said also to the man who had invited him, “When you give a dinner or a banquet, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or rich neighbors, lest they also invite you in return and you be repaid. 20 NT verses you provided as proof for tithing are not about tithing at all. Are you defining any kind of giving as tithing?

I love the Matt. 10:8 verse you submitted. 'Heal the sick (pastor), cleanse the lepers(pastor), raise the dead(pastor), cast out devils(pastor), freely you received, freely give without pay.'

I have never ever been told in any Christian church that I must tithe. Neither of them sell tickets at the door either.

Saying that tithing is wrong because a few churches abuse it is called "all or nothing thinking." An irrational belief / cognitive distortion from total irrationality..

Hi there and blessed day!
i'd like to hear from you about tithes, just share anything you can about how do you define tithes..

my share:
16 Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus.17 For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry.
18 Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.
19 And it was known unto all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood.
20 For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take.
21 Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,
22 Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.
23 And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.
24 And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen,
25 That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.
26 And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.
Acts 1:16-26
I'm sorta dumb founded how this has anything to do with tithing? Someone explain.

The evidence above is the reason why I do not discuss tithing because the Holy Spirit must reveal the truth to a person.

U R absolutely right. The Holy Spirit opens the eyes and hearts. But if we took your view the next step, we shouldn't witness to folks either. Only the Holy Spirit can open the eyes of the unbelievers.

I submit that we need to be led of the Spirit in our teaching, exhorting, and witnessing. If he doesn't lead one person to teach on the false tithe, that doesn't mean He doesn't lead another person to do so. But I do believe we all need to be ready to exhort, reprove, and rebuke with all long suffering and doctrine as He leads.

I get your point however. It looks totally hopeless sometimes sharing the word of God on certain issues with Christians. The stranglehold of the traditions of men is a power to be reckoned with. Sacred cows are hard to topple. The kickback can be fierce. The whole armor of God is vital.
No weak kneed saint need apply for this job.
