P.S.

Seeing how, by your own admission, you're "peeved", you really ought to take the same before the Lord.

And He will tell him that even Jesus who is God got irritated at times, so please... now you're saying that because you didnt find anything "ungodly" in his post to attack him for although he said nothing bad to you in it... just searching for something to make him look bad in order to prove your point. Tintin admitted he said that out of frustration in disbelief because of repeated antagonizing for no good reason. Not because he really meant this. Please just stop acting like an accuser.

I mean, for crying out loud, you basically implied that they don't know either Christ or the gospel, didn't you?
Yes, the Lord helping me, I want to address how the church has repeatedly embraced "counterfeits" or "substitutes" throughout her history in relation to "times" and "dates" and how I believe that the same is the work of the spirit of antichrist. IOW, we're constantly being conditioned to accept that which isn't even true and the same could ultimately lead to people receiving the ultimate "counterfeit", the antichrist himself.
But this same claim of not knowing Jesus or Gospel is perfectly Okay when those who celebrate are being judged?
Lo and behold the double standards. I can tell you for sure that one is something that God hates.

I'm already aware of the same, but you could apparently use a refresher course (see above).

I'll add some Scriptures as well, JesusIsTheChrist was right in that they should be there, this is BDF.

Colossians 2:16
Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
Romans 14:4 Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.
Romans 14:6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it.
If God does not judge believers for this, then who are you?
Cant even imagine the chaos and judgment that would be going on if this was NOT so plainly written in the Bible...
Follow what God convicts you in your own heart and you will not sin, regardless of whether we agree on this or not.
All not done in faith is of sin.
We celebrate in faith of Jesus.

Excuse my ignorance, but what does "BDF" stand for?

Your Colossians 2:16 quote doesn't pertain in that "Christ Mass" was never an ordained "holyday", so Paul was not referring to it at all.

Regarding the Romans quotes, I've basically said the same all along...and I even specifically said the same to "tintin" earlier today. It's almost humorous that you're addressing me as if I'm the one who is "judging" when "tintin" and others just like him have been regularly doing the same...and then belly-aching as if they're the ones who are being "judged".

Anyhow, I have better use of my time than to beat this dead horse any longer.

Good night.

For goodness sake, can we have one thread where there is no bickering and biting? Bloody stop using scriptures as bullets towards one another!

Yeah, this really disturbs me that we are ending our Christmas this way!

Philippians 1:18 But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice.

Whether we are to celebrate Christmas aside, Christ has been preached! The celebrator and the non are equally saved! And when we meet before God none of this will matter, because right or wrong we preached Christ here!

God never meant us to wield His sword against each other. Let us worship Him each in our own way, and when we go to bed on this night of all nights, may we do so without having made enemies of each other.

Love to you all

They gotta do something with all their free time. They're alone, off work for Christmas vacation, nothing to do... might as well go start an argument on the forum.

BDF = Bible Discussions Forum. And we know you'll be back to take a few more whacks at the horse in just a few.
*headdesk*

I'm not talking about freedom to sin, that's a silly assumption. I'm talking about freedom to live in Christ, to really live?
What is it with you guys always going for exaggeration or the worst case scenario all of the time?
Some people here have questioned our salvation because we celebrate Christ's birth. And then they wonder why we're peeved!
BECAUSE IT'S FUN! And because really, it's the best, time honored, proven way to start an argument... I mean debate... er, discussion.

some people are not happy unless they are fighting, I guess it makes them feel more holy? And closer to God?

Hope everyone had a great Christmas. As I sit here, I wonder how many came to the lord the last few days thanks to this holiday, and started a new life in Christ.

No matter what some say here ....and no matter what they think of Christmas. IT, CHRISTMAS, is a great time to tell people about Jesus. God help us all to see that if we feel that telling the lost world that Christmas is evil seems more important than telling them that Jesus died for their sins and loves them right where they are it is a huge mistake!!! .

Christmas is not evil period! There is no law against it. It is a personal preference. You don't have to if do it if you don't want to.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
