When am I saved?
Well all saved people will have their names in the book of Life! This book was written by God even before the earth was formed! So it is true, that all saved people are predestined to be His children. It is also true that they will be His children here on earth. Another truth is that they were not always His children, they were all sinners, like the lost ones that stays in sin, and darkness! So this essay we are going to look at what it is that made these people His children. Am I one of His children, I truly hope so!
The first Truth we have to know about a child of God, is that all His children pleases Him! Hebrews 11:6… 6But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. And in this there is a lot said.
The first thing a Child of God needs is faith. Faith: Habakkuk 2:4 says…. the just shall live by faith! Jesus says if we have faith the size of a grain of musterd seed, we shall command mountains to move and they will. In Luke 17:5 and 6 the apostles asked the Lord to increase their faith, and Jesus answered…If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you. I thought they had faith, But apparently not then! Faith then is described by Jesus as the duty to Father. When these apostles receives their faith they will only do what is commanded them. They will please God, because they will do the works of God as commanded to them. Some more Truths about faith. Acts 15:9.. Faith purifies the heart! Acts 20:21… Repentance toward God and faith towars our Lord Jesus Christ, is the gospel! Acts 24:24 True faith is IN Christ! Romans1:17… Faith making us repent to God, brings us the faith IN Christ. And in this verse God repeats the one in Habakkuk… For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
The apostles already had faith to follow Jesus but they did not have the faith IN HIM YET! Romans 3:25 And we will have faith in His blood (repentance) that will lead us to Faith IN HIM faith in righteousness! This is the faith that will move mountains. Now we are justified by faith, but we are also powerful through faith IN HIM! So Faith both wash us clean and Faith is also what brings forth the pleasing works to God! Faith without works (His Works) are dead! Read James 2. Faith in the blood of Jesus is the works to lay down sin. Faith IN Jesus is the works that Father God wants us to do. Holy Works. Jesus again at work because that faith is IN HIM (JESUS) A man is not only justified by faith, but by the WORKS OF FAITH!
Oh many people will discourage you saying we cannot deserve the childhood of God, but the faith that makes us repent is also a gift of God! So it is actually God’s gift that we believe enough to repent! FAITH TO FAITH! And both is gifts of God! The only difference is, All heard the Word but only a few believed!
ALL faith starts and ends with this….Romans 10:17… So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. This is where I pray… “Lord Jesus, please let me hear Your Word, Amen!”
Just as a body without the spirit is dead, so do I need the works of faith.
The second part of our essay is about this… for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Cometh to God.Jesus said nobody cometh to the Father except through Me. The first faith is what takes us through Jesus. Repentance is the cleansing part. And we do this because we believe we will enter through Jesus! Oh and just to believe at this stage that God is, is no good. We have to work, laying down sin is the work that will make the faith alive, at this stage! Actually it is not work, but to STOP WORKING INIQUITY… Faith to Faith. The first faith is to repent! The second faith is the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Look at James 2: 19 and 20 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. 20But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? There has to be work done with all faith! Laying down sin(our life) is the work at the stage of the first faith. (the faith to FOLLOW the Spirit in the Word) (1 John 3:16). It is the work of crucifying ourselves (Gal2:20). The take up the cross and follow Jesus part! (Matthew 10:38)
To seek God diligently is to follow Jesus! Let me assure you this. NOBODY will receive the reward from God without SEEKING Him DILIGENTLY! This is IT!!!!! The reward comes AFTER THE DILIGENT SEEKING! And that SEEKING is to FOLLOW JESUS! Jesus (the Spirit) leads us to the Father! And when we start, we have to endure unto the end! The end of Jesus leading us. The end of our sinful lives. The end of us being seekers, listeners that do what Jesus ask them to do. THEN we will be rewarded with the second FAITH to DO HIS WORKS. Mark13:13….And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
God rewards us with a Spirit (That baers HIS Faith) that will be hated by all men! Even though the works of the faith will be magnificent, the people shall hate the Spirit in us. Look at the similarity of the life Jesus lived here! That is why Jesus says… John 15:19… but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Remember all God’s children were for a time part of the world (sinners). But they were predestined to be His children because He knew who will choose Him! The ones that will seek Him didligently are the ones that will be saved, from this world! Because they are saved, they are also hated by this world!
Am I hated by this world? No! Then I am not saved! Does my faith bring forth HIS works? No! Then I am not saved. Do I belive IN Jesus? Then I should do MORE WORKS than Him! No! Then I am not a believer. I have no faith! Can I move mountains? No! I have no faith, but I do!!!! I am busy to lay down sin in my life! I seek God diligently! Oh I have FAITH!!!! God will reward me …I am in the first faith! May the REWARDER give me His Reward!
A saved person looks like this…
Colossians 1:13…He is delivered from the power of darkness, and is taken to the kingdom of His Son.
2 Corinthians 5:17… 17Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. ALL things are become new! The old person is DEAD!
1 John 3:9 The new person is born of God and CANNOT sin…. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
Eph 4:11-13 11And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
The new person is a perfect man to the same stature and measure of the Son of God, because it is the EXACT same HOLY SPIRIT, that is the reward of the salvation!...
I pray : “Abba Father, Lord Jesus Christ, please let me through You, and reward me with Faith for Your Glory King of Kings! Amen!”
God said this…. 25For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. Let us lay down our lives, let us lose our sinful lives until it is all gone, and we will find a new life IN HIM, that will produce many fruit for His Glory! AMEN!
Let us pray…. Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11Give us this day our daily bread. 12And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Let us put it in short….
I am sinner…God calls me..I am made aware of sinin my life…The Holy Spirit talks to my conscience.
Now I hear and I want to be changed… God’s Spirit leads me through the Word (Truth) and as I am lead, I hear the Word and DO WHAT THE SPIRIT SHOWS ME…I die off all the wrong…The Spirit is still leading in the Word, and the Word becomes more and more part of me…The Word (Truth) is making me free from my old self, but there is NONE of God’s Spirit in me YET!! I am like the disciples …men following JESUS ! At this stage the Spirit leads me in the Word of God…Eph 5 says this is the water by the Word.. It is like a baptism of Word…Or the water Jesus said we will never thirst again.. and the rivers of living waters that will flow from us…At this stage we RECEIVE FREEDOM.. be made free from all evil… The Truth (The Word) makes us free, as the Holy Spirit LEADS US THROUGH the Word.
But the moment I lay down my last sin…That moment I am as pure as Jesus was and is… Now I am cleansed. I am so clean I, the sinner, DIED) Every time a part of me was washed I came closer to the cross of Jesus! And now washed in His blood…I am clean, forgiven, and now I am being REMOVED from ALL sin. I will be going THROUGH Jesus now.. So I pass through Jesus to the OTER SIDE OF THE CROSS. My spirit actually LEAVES MY BODY NOW! And God makes my spirit HOLY by HIS presence. Now God BAPTIZE ME WITH HIS SPIRIT. And my body (my flesh) Is QUICKENED…MADE ALIVE by HIS SPIRIT…RESURRECTED…REBORN…BAPTIZED WITH HOLY SPIRIT. SPIRIT FILLED… ALL at the same time…NOW JESUS IS IN ME…AND I AM IN GOD… My flesh is now a NEW CREATURE…EVERYTHING IS NEW… Soul/Spirit and flesh (quickened) ..ANOTHER HOLY MAN BY GOD!!! This is salvation. Nothing less…Now another PERFECT man like Jesus is BORN FOR HIS GLORY… Amen.
Let us look at this command quickly and see what Jesus taught here…
Matthew 28:19… 19Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, (teach them WORD) baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: (Revelation 19 And He (God) was clothed in a vesture (Holy Spirit) dipped in blood (The Son) and His Name was: THE WORD OF GOD) see what we should baptize in… 20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: (Teach the WORD)
All three commands are ONE COMMAND! TEACH THE WORD!!!
Let us just look at the Holy Spirit and when HE MOVES IN…
