If you want a possible candidate for Babylon. Try checking out a future Jerusalem controlled by the Antichrist. Jerusalem is called a Harlot by God in many places. Jesus said that the blood of every prophet would be on the heads of the religious leaders in his day. The vision of the Harlot in Revelation resembles the Priesthood in the old testament. They wore Purple
and scarlot garments and the Chief Priest wore a metal plate on his forhead with dedicated to the Lord written on it. The
figure in revelation has Babylon the Great the Mother of Harlots written on hers. In revelation Jerusalem is also called Sodom
and Egypt. Not very flattering is it.

however, with little things you have said, I also began to think you were promoting what is written in Jonathan Cahn's books and frankly, no, I do not think he is spot on

I think he has made some connections that do not actually exist

It's not flattering Tanach, not at all. "and I will remove far from you your northern enemy who will face to the east sea and his hinderpart toward the utmost sea" - what is the utmost sea? (the pacific) face every nation to the east- who has the Pacific to it's hinder parts? also it must be north.

I must condess that your reply baffles me. I assume it comes from the Bible but within the quote the biggest mystery is why you think the USA id being spoken of. It looks to me like another instance of someone believing a theory and trying to fins a verse to fit it.

That's not the case at all Tanach. I've believed mystery babylon was the US since I first read about it. Others opposed the view and I began seeking ways to interpret it like they did, but as the years progressed and others became aware as well I realized I was a fool for ever doubting what was so obvious from the beginning. I have come to accept that people will believe what they will believe regardless of what I say. I accept that.

When my hubby was married to his first wife, he helped his BIL clear out BIL's mother's house after she died. Have you ever seen one of those old houses with big bay windows and, inside, under the windows were storage areas covered by cushions? You know? So if you need extra seating, people could sit under the window, but it was really just a bunch of chests to store stuff in.

Anyway, that's one of the things future hubby had to clear out to help his BIL. And he did. As big as a big bay window was, so were those storage units underneath it. And they all only had one thing in them -- "Christian" tracts. Tons and tons of tracts showing this old woman's life. All of them preached the same junk you're preaching now. In historical order, they said the following people were either the whore of Babylon or the Antichrist. Some times it was one, and other times it was the other.

She died when Nixon was president so that was the end of her line of guessing how the earth would end, instead of spending her life serving God.

About that time, future-hubby and his wife were buying a house. Jesus will return soon?" Gotta love them though. Their mortgages are paid off and they're still waiting. lol

When I was first a believer, I was taught that the USSR was Mog (or was that Amog? Kind of forget which is which and long ago gave up worrying about it. lol), and they would destroy America -- who, somehow another became God's people. :confused:

I remember when Nixon resigned and Elvis died (same summer.) I thought that was close to Armageddon. And then I grew up. I'm glad I got out of that mentality, otherwise how many useless tracts would I have passed out too?

How many are you going to and how will they all fit in your car as you think you can drive out of God's way? You're American for crying out loud! Where is your supposed Promise Land -- Canada or Mexico? Not for nothing are those two countries any better that the US. Might not be worse, but they aren't any better.

You packed up and moved out of God's will 1700 miles ago at the very least! You deserted God to live out the life of a conspiracy theorist with a family to boot! Don't you dare blame that on God! At least the old woman with 40 years of guessing God's will and missing him all together got to stay in her own home in her own community.

How do you tell others to "study and pray. Pray and listen." And "God guide you" when you just proved you do none of that?

I rebuke you for teaching a false gospel -- your own!

You don't know anything about my 1700 mile journey. I got here before I realized why God had brought me. I didn't come here to escape. I got here and realized why He brought me. People have been preaching the end for centuries, even millenia, I understand that. Satan is a deceiver and counterfeit. I wasn't on the Y2k bandwagon or the 2012 mayan calendar. You can't fake the signs God has produced and is producing. You just can't. This is the reality we live in. You think I'm not serving God? I work for an organization founded by David Wilkerson and I minister to my brothers and sisters daily. I have a home, I have a job, I just happen to have it in a place that I believe God has selected for His purpose. You ask if I will go to Canada or Mexico? I don't know what God's plan is for me and others when everything happens. I trust God. I am just raising the warning that people need to take another look at whats going on and go into their prayer closet. There wont' be time for a redo. Maybe He is trying to save some people to help the small remnant who make it out of this mess. Who knows? oh yea. God does.
