Jesus is not adding requirements for salvation; although most true believers do love Jesus above all else.

Jesus is making a case that nobody is worthy of Him; and that Salvation can't be earned. Salvation must be accepted as a free gift totally unearned.

That thief on the cross who went to Paradise could NOT fulfil these requirements. Think about it.
The thief on the cross did fulfill these requirements.
He carried his cross, he was on it, and accept he was unworthy.
He recognised Jesus was innocent and died for his sins.
He had faith that Jesus could rise him from the dead.
He asked Jesus to forgive him and save him.

It is a wonder you can not see this in ones fellow believer who died alongside our Lord.

yep there are 2 thief there, why one of them save? Why Jesus choose one, it is give, but why this give not for the other, must be qualification or requirement to accept this give

Not adding do not mean none.

there is requirement by Jesus and some people reduce it.

What did Jesus say about loving God.

If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even their own life—such a person cannot be my disciple.
Luke 14:26

There is nothing that can come higher in ones heart than God to be a disciple.
It is because He is above any mortal issue we have in our lives, and to compromise
this is to compromise God and sin.
