If hell wasn't created/prepared as you mentioned in the OP. Then what would be your explanation for Matthew 25:41

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
The everlasting fire is the Lake of Fire. Hell is also thrown into
the Lake of Fire, for Christ shall swallow death up in victory :)

Beyond, I hope it's interesting. To begin, there are 4 pages of posts, and I didn't check them all. Sorry about that.
Oh, beware, I have been called a heretic for what you are about to read...

Let's start with this "God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all." (1 John 1:5)In Bible times, light was pretty harmless. Moses would not believe that light could cut metal. Today, we understand that light is a serious matter.

1 tim 6:16, Here we have the key. “Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach .... Amen.”

In medieval times they couldn't understand this simple verse. Now we do.

Since science has moved on we know more about light. For instance, lasers are used in most classes in school. Many students have seen how a laser can be passed through a crystal. The crystal isn't destroyed unless it is flawed with a dark spot...

Laser Types and Classification | Environmental Health and Safety | Oregon State University

God uses the natural world, to illuminate the supernatural world. Let's shed a little light. God seems to be a light on the order of a really powerful laser.. I'll allow you to examine the topic on your own time.

Now, where do we see a man that is able to be in God's presence and not be hurt? Adam is the answer. The sin thing comes around that time.

What do we know from Adam? Before he had sin, he was able to be with God. After sin, it's over. God doesn't enter the AO of Adam. So, logically we can make a leap...in is what man does not want to have. Not when God is around. Especially if you have no body to stop God's light.

Where can we go that God s not there? Well, scripture says that God is iin Hell. Psalm 139:8. Once we are dead, there's no where to hide.

As no one could find the answer, I'll post it here.
Millions, maybe billions, of people are atheists. Talk to them. They will tell you that God is evil because God created Hell. Now here is where the shadow of Picasso becomes relevant. bear with me.

Charles Templeton was Billy Graham's evangelistic partner. Many believed he was a BETTER minister than Billy.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Templeton
You can verify the facts if you care.

Templeton turned his back on Christianity. He became a leader in the athiest/ non-believer community. He represents them pretty well.

He said that he couldn't believe in a god that would create Hell.

Well, if Picasso "created" his shadow, then God can be held culpable for said shadow. Can God be held responsible for Hell, and there in lies the argument.

Genesis 1:1 says, "God saw all that he had made, and it was very good." Does the Bible lie?

If you believe in a good God, and all He made is good, then go out and tell an atheist. Admittedly, many people dont have the IQ to understand higher concepts, but most atheists are pretty smart.

You will find that a large majority of those that reject Christianity after having believed....do so because of a lifestyle change that Christianity will not support. 75% of all Christian young people (who go to college) will reject their beliefs after the first year of college. Partially because of the teachings of the Academics and partially because there becomes a change in lifestyle.

I don't have one favorite bible because some bibles say it better than others viseversa. I'm not a fan of his (angels) so to speak as some verses say it that way in Matt 25:41

Young's Literal Translation
Then shall he say also to those on the left hand, Go ye from me, the cursed, to the fire, the age-during, that hath been prepared for the Devil and his messengers;

It's odd to me to try to think of an eternal life of ANY sort apart from God. I do believe that satan somehow does, but thank God He didn't let the same happen to us and didn't let our parents eat from the other tree after what happened!

Scripture explicitly states that only God is immortal, which of course speaks of His eternity, what some would call Him being the uncaused first cause, or prime mover. How people have come to the conclusion that the soul is immortal aside from the life found in Christ baffles me. Scripture explicitly states that the mortal (us) puts on the immortal (Christ). We are able to do that through our faith in Christ, Who holds the keys to life and death, and is Himself immortal. He has overcome death, and He is risen! We shall be resurrected to a life more abundant through Him. All those whose names are not written in the Lamb's book of life pass into the second death. alleluia.jpg

First you have to understand what the word fire means in old text, as fire means power.

From the minute that I returned to the forums, I was attacked, viciously, Well, I really didn't want to return, but God made me. About 23 years ago, I walked away from the forums. Let me repeat, I never wanted to return. God pushed. God said, "They don't even know the definition of sin!" I thought that God was wrong. God was right.

People threatened me, I was called a Heretic and ridiculed. People asked who sent me! People said that I was in it for money! There's no one that cares about you that they would pay someone to come and work here.

My friends warned me about Trolls. There were Trolls here 23 years ago, and when I departed I said that I wouldn't return. I would rather not deal with people like this.

God and I had an agreement. If I saw this was insanely distasteful, I would just leave for 23 years and try again later.

That is 1994, for anyone who can't subtract. We got the internet in about '97. There were 4 search engines and the average search could bring up as many as 4 hits. I don't remember any chat rooms till into the 2000's! Of course, maybe I just never found them?

Maybe 23 years was just rhetorical?? And you are certainly right, I don't think CC existed 23 years ago!

What's your point? Why is any of this an argument against the existence of Hell? Is that even what you are arguing?

Where do the comments about 'God saw it and it was good?' make a reference to Hell? Why would you see Hell as a bad thing?

The fool has said in his heart that there is no God. Atheist objections to the existence of Hell are more likely to be emotional rather than logical.

There were Usenet groups in the early 1990's. There may have been some bulletin boards online in the 1990's. There were bulletin boards on BBSs in the 1980s.

In a room of Bible believing Christians, although they have differing interpretations and opinions, you really need to back your ideas up with scripture, especially with the words in red letters. God bless you with forgiveness and joy in Jesus name.
