I believe the answer to where the lost people of Revelation 20 came from is in Zeckariah 14:16: "And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles." If you read Zeckariah 14 you will see that it fits Revelation 20. It is definitly the reign of Christ on the Earth. Zeckariah speaks of the second coming of the Lord and tells us that some of the people of the nations survive and are not destroyed at the second coming.

What do you know of the feast of tabernacles?

jonathan.
the feast of tabernacles was a figure for Christ.
it was a rehearsal for when He would come. He came. It is Finished, for all who believe: they are free from egypt (bondage), and take of the waters of life.

do you really think it would be physically possible for all nations on earth to fit into earthly Jerusalem?

the real thing involves sacrifices. do you really believe we will revert to that?
that would be an abomination.

when we accept Jesus we are FREE and belong to Jerusalem which is above. earthly Jerusalem is in bondage (Galatians).

John 7:37
In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

Zechariah 14:8
And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.
And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.

John 4:10-14
Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water? Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle? Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

Zechariah 14:8
And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.
And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.

did Zechariah give his prophesies BEFORE the children returned to Jerusalem? YES.
did they return?

what does the NT say?

Acts 2:5-11
And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans? And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born? 9. Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia, Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes, Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.

the OT prophets spoke in literal and figurative (spiritual) language. they gave near and far prophecies.

they used langauge and figures the hebrews already KNEW.

the NT interprets the OT.

what other things did Zechariah say?

Zechariah 12:10
And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

John 19:37
And again another scripture saith, They shall look on him whom they pierced.

did the Lord keep His Promise to pour on them the Spirit?

9. yes, He did.

what else did the OT prophets say that were fulfilled?

Isaiah 49:6
And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.

Romans 15:8-11
Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers: And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name. And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people. And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people.

Did The Lord keep His Promises?
are they Fulfilled in Jesus NOW?

Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.

what people? believing JEWS!

Hmmm, does the parable of the sower not say the tares will be cut down first and thrown onto the fire at the end of the harvest (return of Christ)?

What sinners will be left?

Huh Jonathan?

Now we are back at the beginning again. There are lost people during the thousand year reign of Christ. So obviously someone survives the Tribulation. Children maybe? The fact is that they are there.

jonathan: is the thousand years a literal 1,000 years after the Second Advent?
or is it a figurative term for the period happening now since Jesus came the first time?

Where are there lost people alive during the thousand years? Revelation 20 say the lost is dead and doesn't live again until the thousand years are finished.
