There was an earlier thread in which a number of people equated backsliding to apostasy. I just wanted to confirm that they are NOT the same.
When you backslide, you still acknowlege God, you just go your own way. If you're apostate, you're willfully denying the sacrifice of Christ.
It's important to know the difference, because Paul says the Apostasy is just as big an event as the revealing of the antichrist, and he wasn't talking about backsliding.
