I have heard "we are all sinners saved by grace" and Romans 3:23 does say that we have all sin, but
2 chorintians 5:21 saids" He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him" So even if we commit a sin today, are we christians considered sinners or rightious?

We're righteous in Him, and that's the ONLY way we're righteous. Also, we can't sin in our spirit [those who are saved, I mean].

Jesus died for our sins past, present, and future, when we acept Jesus into our hearts he erases all sins from past present and future therefor we are made rightious, but what if a rightious person who is in christ commits a sin? isnt a person that lies a liar? is not a person that steals a thief? is not a person that kills a killer? so wouldnt a person that sins be a sinner?

1Jn 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

Rom 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

Rom 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Hi LC, the difference is a person without the Spirit might sin willfully or might even sin without even knowing that he is sinning against God.

You do get nice people without the Spirit too but there own righteousness is like filthy rags like one unclean before God and cannot and will not save them.

Isaiah 64:6 (KJV)
But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

Thus a Spirit filled person never sins willfully, he is made the righteousness of God through Christ in him not of himself but if he sins which is very possible it would be unwillingly unlike one without the Spirit and the Spirit in the person leads him to repentance thereof.

Also the Spirit filled person has the benefit of someone else interceding for him if he sins, Jesus Christ.

1 Timothy 2:5 (KJV)
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.

and...

Hebrews 10:26 (KJV)
For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins.

a Spirit filled person never feels pleasure in sinning unlike a non Spirit filled person.

Hope this helps a little.

In one sense of the word, yes. In another sense of the word, no. I didn't understand that for quite awhile.

Those who sin willingly are under the wrath of God.

Those who sin unwillingly are under the grace of God.

Christ has not died so that we can be sinless, nay, but to remove the penalty of sin.

1 John 1:8 (KJV)
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith, it is His work through us that we are made God's righteousness nothing of ourselves.

Just pray about it and trust in Him that He will finish the work that He started in you.

1 John 2:1 (KJV)
My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

At some point in our walk with Jesus, every person ponders and asks the question you've given in this thread. I'm glad you started this thread; giving many a chance to speak of how the Word of God has affected our lives. I would like to share that The Apostle Paul said, "But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ....."

I've said that I am nothing without our Lord Jesus Christ. I'm acknowledging that I am a sinner saved by grace.

Hi Ellen,

You believe in Jesus Christ right? So now that you have the Holy Ghost in you, you are saved because you are now under the grace of God...

You are falling under the unwillingly sinner.

You're anger towards a person and the unforgiveness thereof is bothering you now why? Because it is the Comforter (the one that leads you into all truth) in you that says "ey Ellen time to forgive your husband again" :)

Maybe you can change your routine and act differently towards that person and pray for the particular person you struggle with at night when alone..

As yaright stated we are sinners saved by the grace of God..

Be blessed and be of good courage Ellen...

Psalm 27:14 (KJV)
Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

Peace.

No true saint are not sinner. Just because all have (past tense) sinned, does not mean that we are to, or will continue in sin.

Actually this is not true scripture tells us we are forgiven of past sins, not present or future.

Romans 3
24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

Meaning sins have no more stronghold on us anymore and our salvation is secured forever when we are reborn for we have passed from death unto life...

This is just a matter of time when all born again believers realize that their sins are covered with the blood of the Lamb. PAST PRESENT AND FUTURE.

John 5:24 (KJV)
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

prov 24:16 for though a righteous man falls seven times, he rises again, but the wicked are brought down by calamity.

Hope this addresses the question

Actually it means exactly what it says. we have been forgiven of our past sins, not present, and not future.

If people would just believe the word instead of trying to force their theology into it, we would all be much better off

If it is not possible for God to forgive sins in advance then neither can he die for sins in advance.

Hebrews 9:12 (KJV)
Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

It is just a matter of time when all born again believers realize that their sins are washed away with the blood of the Lamb. PAST PRESENT AND FUTURE. They are new creatures in Christ and walk in newness of life thus they never sin willfully unlike unbelievers.

An opinion, not even a biblicqal one

This verse doesnt say what you claim it does.

There is no such thing as a saved sinner. you are either a sinner or a saint. You cannot be both
