Many preachers and theologians are stating that we are in the end of time.The sixth seal has supposedly been opened and we will begin seeing many teachers of His Church punished for false doctrines.We will also see more frequent disasters and more violent.Is there anything in the Bible that confirms this?

People have been seeing signs of the end of times for centuries. The truth is, we won't truly know when the end is until it gets here. It says in matthew that if the owner of the house knew the hour the thief would come, he would have locked his doors. I think the signs Jesus gave were more for imagery-sake, and that there aren't necessarily cut and dry signs of hey, the end of the world is gonna be here in about oh, a couple years or so. We just don't know. Besides, what does it really matter? If it's going to come, it's going to come, worrying or thinking about it won't delay it. All you can do is be prepared by following God's law because it could come at any minute. You dont' have to worry about having your hand caught in the cookie jar, if you don't have your hand in the cookie jar.

I am wondering also. So many say so, but it has been said before. In my heart I sence that time is short, but the truth is we each individually could be taken by death at any moment. It seems more important to consider today and what I can do to live my faith in Our Lord Jesus. God bless, pickles

A seminal point will be when the Euprates River dries up significantly, this is happening now due to extensive ****ing in Turkey and elsewhere, but may take many more years, it is a slow process, but God may speed up the process if He want's to. I agree that we are beginning to see many false doctrines being revealed for what they are- false, many are very well entrenched in Christian doctrine and are not giving up easily as many prefer to hang on to the words of man rather than except the truth of God's Word as He has decided to reveal it. Many Church leaders and much of institutionalized Christianity will be punished for their lack of strength and promotion of falsehood and their habouring of lies and deception.

"Is not My word like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces!"

God is going to be breaking alot of rocks in the coming years.

Are we experiencing the "end of days?" Probably not. My prediction is that we will simply experience more days. Every generation of Christians since the time of Christ has thought they were in the end times.

In many respects I think things have gotten better since the 70's-80's rather than worse.

Revelations. Now as the Pesident is passing the health care. He is putting us into the new world order. The government is going to be in charge of everything about us. We don't know how much longer until things go crazy and they start hunting us down to force us into having the mark of the beast. We are to keep our eyes open and beware. We trust out Lord and know that he will take care of us. We don't know how long we will see much worse things happening in the world before we are taken away. People who have helped the poor will be much better off than those who didn't. People who didn't care about the homeless and the hungry are going to taste it.

LETS LOOK AT SIN

Homosexuality
Rape
Murder
Theft
Disobedience towards parents and elders
Lying (government-personal)
Witchcraft
Obesity (glutton)
Idolatry (paganism)
Child Molesters
Kidnapping
Lack of GOD


In a day and time where we have 8 billion+ people on this earth sin(demons) and Satan are working more rampart than ever. Just in my lifetime from the late 60's to 2010 many of these sins I listed were hardly ever recognized let alone now we have categories for them in todays terms. With sin as great as it is tells me that Satan has a clue to what is getting ready to happen. Satan knows GOD. Satan watched for generations as GOD would pour out HIS vengeance upon man time after time in the OLD TESTAMENT. Then Satan watched GOD now for over 2000+ years be patient and merciful in a period we like to call GRACE. BUT, Satan knows that what the end of time means. Satan knows that once JESUS returns for the dead in CHRIST and we that are yet alive to be caught up THAT once TRIBULATION begins 2000+ years of vengeance GOD will be released upon man from TRIBULATION-ARMAGEDDON even after the MILLENEUM the GREAT JUDGEMENT and LAKE OF FIRE are all examples that Satan knows is to come and this is not GRACE but this is GODs vengeance upon SIN. With sin soo well known to now it has become government policies like MURDER-THEFT-CHILD MOLESTATION-KIDNAPPING-RAPE-and now the HATE CRIME BILL(HOMOSEXUALITY) and gay marriage has all come into policy play you better understand as a CHRISTIAN that we are in the VERY LAST DAYS. We used to hang people for witchcraft and idolatry but today we get close to them to see what it is all about. The way our society is accepting sin daily as a normal way of life MIRRORS Sodom and Ghomorah and we know what happened to them. It probably wont happen tomorrow but I sure would live like today was our last and that tomorrow is NOT PROMISED.......

Assuming that the many theologians and preachers who have said this, are referring to the same sixth seal found in Revelation 6, what is the basis for their claim??

Revelation 6:12

I watched as he opened the sixth seal. There was a great earthquake. The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red, and the stars in the sky fell to earth, as late figs drop from a fig tree when shaken by a strong wind. The sky receded like a scroll, rolling up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place.

In revelation it says that one nation will have control over the world and the anti-christ will rule it. It looks like it is leading up to that. If America falls to Communism, there is NOTHING to stop communism from taking over the world. China is ramping up their navy and army big time. China will be the next power to start the next world war. The population of china is at 1,300,000,000 and rising. They can summon a massive army unlike anything this world has seen. America is at 300,000,000 population. You can see the difference there. You keep an eye on china, I guarantee you that they are going to be the power that we will fight, well... not if obama has anything to say about it. He is making America more communistic by the month.

If America fall, it WILL lead to global communism. You stand for biblical principle and join the stop obama express. He will destroy this country, and he is. he has already quadrupled the debt in one year. That is unheard of, france is bankrupt because of their spending. In 2 or 3 years if something don't happen, there won't BE a france.

Sorry off topic, bottom line. It looks like it can lead up to the End, but America must fall first for it ot happen.

end times most definitely...one major sign is Israel, many prophesies could not start to be fulfilled because they revolved around Israel, and Israel has not been a Nation for some +_ 2500 years until 1948. this is prophesy fulfilled before our very eyes. However a lot of Christians will disagree but the Bible is quite clear on this.

did you know that it is the first time in history that the Euprates River can be dried up by humans?....all the dams can for the first time be manually shut which would cause this....interesting.

The world is NOT going to END as some may assume, the Bible does not say that, the end times is the end of this age as we know it, we are about to enter into a new age.

Jesus also said in Matthew that when you see these things, look up, for your redemption draws near. Many have been saying that the end is near ever since the beginning of the Church. The apostles even said that the end is near. These days, the last 2000 years or so, are the end times. We just have a really short view of time, seeing as our perspective is so short. However, as those who have the Spirit indwelling, we can sense that things are getting to the place in the world that hope is becoming less and less. Not that we have no hope, but that the optimismn in the world is dying. There just doesn't seem to be a way out of the mess that the world is today, and the mess is growing bigger and bigger each day. The whole thing is a house of cards, which would fall at almost any provocation. People no longer practice manners, have no love for each other, actively deny God's existence, and most of all, we can see that those who are rich are making real headway in withholding the due recompense of the laborer. If there is a politician who is not completely comprimised by the deals made to gain and keep their office, I would be amazed. In other words, the world system could colaspe into total and complete anarchy at any time, it would only take a little push. And the world will accept almost any answer, including accepting the son of perdition, when this happens.

Both are from II Peter 2. It shows the two attitudes that we can have. Both of these are from the mouth of believers, but one has given up their diligence in looking for His coming.
