something that would be wise to consider is that sometimes we don't feel like we are close to him but feelings can be deceiving. For instance there is a difference between feeling strong and being strong there is a difference between feeling pure of heart and being pure of heart and for the most part we tend to feel lacking greatly in both those areas believing what we feel and see in ourselves when in fact we are actually a lot stronger than we realize and we more pure in heart than we think

I think of the apostle Paul saying that he isn't ashamed of the Gospel. When he said this, he didn't simply mean it before men but rather that it has given what it has offered. In this same respect I consider reconciliation to God, like another user said of our position in Christ. We are reconciled! There is no barrier between us and God. What hindrances have we set up in our minds to not draw near to God when Christ has torn the veil?

[h=1]1 John 3:20-21 King James Version (KJV)[/h]20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.

I think its sort of like our perspective. God is happy with the position we share in Christ due to His grace, but He would love to spend time with us. Even so, more time. If He died for us (He did), and what a great love that is, does it not make it clear how much He values us? So while God is content with Billy in that He loves you, I think God wants more of Billy, Ben, and all of us here because it is in His presence that we find true joy, happiness, and peace.

I believe the study of contentment should be done by every believer. It helps us grow closer to God as we learn, as Soloman, the meaning of life in Ecclesiastes. We can learn what the real important things are in life and how we can be better at enjoying what God has given us. I will share some of my thoughts and studies on this subject. Though none of us are the same we can share with each other what God has shown us. Contenment leads to happiness. But this can only truly be found by a relationship with Jesus Christ. We see many people who seem content and happy but are never truly content or happy as they place their contentment or/and happiness on things of this world. God bless all yinz in you walk with Jesus.

What on earth? this isn't a sin and salvation thread it's a provoking and encouraging thread to deepen our bond with God why on earth did you need to post all of that?
is that all you could see, from that post. no wonder, there is this forum topic. and no wonder, you will still be, in wonder.
when jesus said, the blind cannot see, you again prove that wisdom correct.

believing in what god has already done for you.

how did you get to sin and salvation.

set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.

if he has set you free, why are you thinking you are not free.
so it is up to you ,with free will, to govern your own thoughts.

for the record when was this post directed to you.

if you want to fall in to self pitty or thought of unworthiness then it will me no difference to what god you believe in, or what you read in the bible. walking in faith , with a god. is believing ,he has done these things.

and this verese is a prim example to this topic.
Galatians 5: Christ Has Set Us Free
1 For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.
2 Look: I, Paul, say to you that if you accept circumcision, Christ will be of no advantage to you.3 I testify again to every man who accepts circumcision that he is obligated to keep the whole law.4 You are severed from Christ, you who would be justified by the law; you have fallen away from grace

I mean I apologize if I misunderstood scotts post but it seemed like he was trying to start another sin law and salvation arguement.
no point ,trying to justify your misunderstanding,if you misunderstood, why did you comment in the first place.

again in relation to the topic of this forum, it is because of misunderstanding scripture, you fall back into unworthiness and thoughts of never meeting the mark.
for example
if all fall short of the glory of god. (at the start of your christian walk or first believing)

having the correct tools makes the job easier. etc

There is a point to my apology and it wasn't to justify anything, If I am in the wrong the I am obligated to at least apologize for it I owe it to the person I have done wrong and to myself.

As for you however you posted two very rude comments above you what wrote to me and it was uncalled for, what right do you have to call anyone a pea brain?

I rest satisfied with my portion in the Lord, but I search for a deeper understanding of his written word. I find as i do this i learn things that i didn't know before and can apply them to my life. I thirst for righteousness. And in this I grow and have fruit. But I do know that there is a lot I do not know, and a lot that I don't understand. I have gained knowledge through a lot of spirit filled people.
