More blessed is he that hath believed "without seeing" than he that "must see" to believe. John 20:29 paraphrased
The Faith that is given by the Father to the children of the Kingdom may be the same or may differ in quantity
allowing some the faith to believe "without seeing" while others need just a bit more. Either way the being blessed portion is of the Fathers doing, and in this case the Holy Ghost had not been given yet so none of them had truly experienced the born again experience.
When that occurred they were no longer just believers they were all "KNOWERS", just like everybody who receives that same baptism.

Ever wonder why some get more opportunity to believe than others I.E. Paul, the twelve who had special access, and those whom the miracles were performed on? Even then Judas betrayed him because the scripture was pre written that he would, so we see that even
those who know Jesus can turn back to the world or better stated be turned back into the world for now.

Its called, CHOSEN, faithful, and they loved not their lives unto the death.
What is required to be chosen as opposed to being turned back into the world?
It is merely the Fathers choice according to election.
Be exceedingly glad that he hath chosen you to continue as opposed to being turned back.

Yep they seem to have thought that he was there to stay and that he was going to be the king/ruler in Israel and the gentile rule would end. They seem to not have had any idea that Jesus would die,be buried, resurrected then return to Heaven nor that he would return in a second coming.
Yep, so the gospel they were preaching during the 4 Gospels, such as those stated in Luke 9:6, cannot be the same gospel preached in 1 Cor 15:1-4.

I've seen this comparison before about when what was being taught and it always make me wonder about the timeline of these events,,do you think Revelation was written around ad96 or prior to ad70?
