Ok. We'll just have to agree to disagree there, because it bucks against the analogy too hard for me. For me, the Word obviously grew within them, at least to some extent, and in order for the Word (who is Christ) to grow within them, it means they had to have received the Incorruptible Seed to start with, but simply didn't continue in Him.
But to each his own. Thanks for the polite reply.

This post gave me complete body goosebumps. I cannot believe that I did not have that verse in my collection of "My Story" verses. Of course, the phrasing that you've offered is from the NIV, thus expressing the DEEP need that we study from all translations!
Oblio . . . I am so glad to have met you, for anyone who has been wrapped within and beheld by the Raw, Almighty Power of God . . . we see things in a much different way than do others. Having felt that Power . . . it provided me with the instant perspective that I could never have had otherwise. Can you believe that you were Chosen? To this day, I am still amazed that God Chose me to be His Child. That day when I was given this Almighty, Powerful Grace, that was the day when I realized that I had never actually "chosen" Him. I thought that I did, but I did not! It was also the day when I realized that I was truly not saved in the least, for my life did NOT reflect our Lord Jesus in any way, shape, or form. I was completely deceived.

The silence of Peldum tells us that there is no, I repeat NO Biblical explanation for this. I've scoured literally every letter of the Bible for such answers . . . and there is none. And to ensure that I skipped nothing, I have highlighted each piece of punctuation in one of my Bibles, all 1,490 pages with multiple colored highlighters, highlighting each thought, idea, and concept. I missed nothing, and there is no explanation.

Since '94, has your life been an increase of becoming more and more Holy? Or, are you like a former friend of mine who had a similar experience in '95, and then fell victim to alcoholism, strip-clubism and doing all kinds of insane things?
2 Corinthians 3:14-18 KJV - "But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ. 15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart. 16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away. 17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord."
We can know that our experience is legitimate if we are changed . . . completely Transformed.

It amazes me how many people profess to be Christians, yet they don't refer to themselves as Slaves of Christ. It amazes me how many claim to be Christians, yet they have no Romans 12:2 Transformation story.
Psalm 51:10 NIV - "Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me."
If we've Truly been given a Pure Heart, and if the spirit within us has been renewed, we cannot and will not be the same person. God will change us through His Effectual Power.
This is a good time for True Christians to begin telling of their Transformation story. Anyone . . . please share.
