I've been in communication with a young lady (Batman007) for a couple weeks. The Holy Ghost is convicting her. She claims to be an atheist. She is now going through the defensive stage of the process.
I am not the one for this job. I think I've done all I can do for her. Perhaps she needs a to communicate with a more seasoned Christian. I am still a novice.
I hope there is someone on this forum that can help her.

if she wants to be saved, she needs to find a local church and hear the Law & Gospel, repent, be baptized and be changed.
you shouldn't post publically about private communications

Maybe she just needs to be still, like in Psalms 46:10.

No ones privacy has been invaded. Her real name is not Batman007. Your advice for me to not follow what I believe is the calling of the Holy Ghost needs rethinking. Your laissez-faire Christian attitude; "if she wants to be saved, she needs to find a local church" shows very little Christian love. This young lady has come to this forum for answers. How can you be so cold.?

go away and forget Christ?

but not murders thieves or child molesters...no sir!
not THOSE sinners.

yuck...they have work hard and STOP SINNING before they get any Christian prayer or help.

There is plenty of mercy for murderers, thieves and child molesters. God is calling ALL MEN to repentance. His mercy is great.

When I meet a sincere seeker I tell them to read the book of John. Just to quietly sit down and read it and soak in the simple words of Christ.

The reason I recommend the Gospel of John is because the message is so very simple and any individual with an honest heart will come to an understanding that the words are divine. The wisdom of the words of Christ put all the words of men to shame.

Due to her being an atheist she might find value in the following testimony from a former atheist...

But she came to this forum.
Do you think the work of the Holy Spirit stops at the doors of a church. Are we not all called to be ministers of Christ.
You need to get your mind right!

I think your heart is in the right place CDavid, that's great you want to help Batman007, but maybe you should refer to her as "you" instead of "her" as if she's not here. She is; she posted in this thread.

My above statement seems contradictory to what I'm saying since I referred to you, Batman007, as "her", but my address was to CDavid about how he was addressing you... :eek:

So, why did you come to this forum? :)

Well, I don't really have any interest in reading the bible. I probably will some day but it's not high up on my reading list.

As for that testimony, I'm not sure what that's supposed to show me? That guy just sounds like he had some serious mental issues.
