It's a word of interest. Ever do a word study on it? When I first became a saved person I set down all my major religious beliefs, for self examination. I did not reject my beliefs or take on new ones until I could clearly see my error and the truth in Scripture by the help & teaching of the Holy Spirit. Creeds, I came to reject the man-made creeds of the worldly religious system influencing the theology of men. Begotten, is a beautiful word. Scripture says this, well, I should ask;

When do you believe the Son was begotten by the Father?

could you just state what your beliefs are?
then we can discuss what happened when you clearly see saw your error and the truth in Scripture by the help & teaching of the Holy Spirit.

Is He our Saviour?
Wa..wait..what?

Your profile information states that you are a Christian, yet you don't even know if Jesus is our saviour!?!? Of course he is! Jesus's sacrifice on the cross is the underlying reason why the term: 'Christian' even exists!

If Jesus didn't resurrect and ascend, then we wouldn't actually know if he was really what he said he was! For all we would know, Jesus could have been just a good prophet, or a wolf in sheep's clothing!

God did things only God can do, such as healing the blind in one second, repelling demons from people, and resurrecting from the dead!

If it weren't for Jesus's resurrection, then Christianity would be utterly ruined! We know for an undeniable fact that Jesus is lord because he did the impossible! No normal human, or even a prophet, can resurrect himself from the dead.

I don't mean to be rude: You're a Christian; you should know this!

"He was begotten, not made, one in being with the father." <--- That's right, Lovepink! This quote means that God has always been around!

It was a rhetorical question. Is Jesus God, well, is He our Saviour? Plays Jeopardy music.

I figured a Lutheran would bite. When you get around to answering the question, according to Scripture truth, "When was the Son begotten by the Father", I would like to have a discussion about error, sure.

Theology has a lot of knowledge about God, aka profane and vain babbling. It is hard to come out of, but God says ," come out from among them, and be ye separate."

Accordong to Scripture, when was the Son begotten by the Father. You just used part of a creed, not Scripture.

I don't need to open my bible to talk to you, the bible would help me prove my points, but I can get by with just common sense and critical thinking skills!

Bring it on, LovePink!

Jesus was begotten when the Holy Spirit over shadowed Mary.
The angel replied, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the baby to be born will be holy, and he will be called the Son of God. Luke 1:35

Answer the question then. The Scripture is my Authority and standard.

The scriptures are testimonies to the Lord Jesus Christ but the Authority and Standard of all is the Living Lord Jesus Christ, the Almighty God of all.

If the scripture is our authority and standard, then surely we would all be able to figure out if God is our saviour by ourselves, without having to ask others.

Thanks to Danschance for sharing & using Scripture. In John the Scripture states the incarnation like this;

"And the Word was made flesh"

You're "rhetorical question", which is not rhetorical in scripture, suggests that you should read the Bible before trying to teach us here on CC.

Jesus is God and our saviour.
This letter is from Simon Peter, a slave and apostle of Jesus Christ. I am writing to you who share the same precious faith we have. This faith was given to you because of the justice and fairness of Jesus Christ, our God and Savior.

why are you playing games?:)
you're one who brought up creeds.

i'm taking issue with your approach, due to your previous thread (as yet unresolved).

so i would like to know first of all if you are an Arian.
wanna play games or just be upfront first?

Theology has a lot of knowledge about God, aka profane and vain babbling. It is hard to come out of, but God says ," come out from among them, and be ye separate."
:)

well let's see where you are in that.

1) is Jesus God?
2) was Paul qualified and called to be an apostle? did he teach a different message?

When do you believe the Son was begotten by the Father?
Gen 1:3a, before the beginning of time, so the question of "when" is meaningless and nonsensical in terms of physics.

Gen 1:3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; [universe created here, time starts here -> ] and there was light.

John 1:1 ¶ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The human brain is not designed to understand concepts like "before the beginning of time", which is why our mathematics breaks down in any attempt to describe the beginning of the universe (big bang theory or otherwise).

Job 38:4-6 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it? Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;
