Every year we see discussions among believers about what Easter is, how it originated, blah blah blah. This thread is not about that, so please don’t dilute the message of this thread by bringing that in here. What this thread IS about is USING it for the glory of God.

ROMANS 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

We know that there will be individuals attending services this coming Sunday who probably haven’t attended since the churches were filled with poinsettias, right? It is an opportunity to reach them. An opportunity we don’t want to miss.

Please pray with me that God will begin to deal with their hearts right now by the power of the Holy Spirit to receive the truth of the gospel and sacrifice of our Lord. Please pray for pastors, teachers, worship leaders and all of those who are serving others on the Lord’s day. Please pray to be alert to those who need prayer. Those who are lost. Those who are hurting. Pray that many hearts will turn toward God.

Hear my heart when you read this and understand that I’m not interested in arguing or debating any of this. I have come to you as your sister in Christ to ask you to pray with me for the lost. Let the Spirit you are of guide you accordingly.

May you receive of the blessings you pray for others this week.

You have truly spoken from your heart.

And I quietly say: Amen.

Beautiful post and how very true. When I was young that was us, church on Easter and once in a while the rest of the year. And I wonder why I never got anything out of it?

I thank and praise God for bringing my church family and pastor into my life.

Already praying, Julianna. ♥

Our church has invited so many people, and they have invited so many people, the service will be held at the local civic center, which seats over 3,000. (normally we're pretty small, with 100-150 or so a week :) )

Our pastor has ONE goal--proclaim the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

may those who have ears to hear...♥

love,
ellie
