“Scripture tells us that can only happen through blood shed on the altar by the Lord. “

no sister scriptire tells us this about the Animal bloodshed of the law.

I tried to shorten this but do me a favor and consider what the New Testament revelation of the epistles says about the law they understood the law much much better than either one of us so consider what’s being said here

“For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.

For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins. But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year. For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10:1-4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

he’s saying those sacrifices reminded them continually of Thier sins that’s why they all died, even Moses the mediator. Mankind has two parts a body and a living spirit even if thoer spirit is the corrupted spirit of man. Thier spirit doesn’t die even if they have died on thoer sins it rests until the fonal
Jidgement

thier was no remission of sins but there was a continual working by sacrofocing daily weekly , yearly fresh blood of animals that doesn’t say “ you now have no sin , or this blood is covering your sins temporarily “ ot says “ your all unworthy sinners do you have to constantly supply the death of an animal to substitute for your life which I require because you sinned “

but if the sacrifoce is done once and we’re told by the word that sacrofice was sufficient to remit our sins and there is never another required then we can understand our sins have been dealt with and we don’t have to offer innocent life in death constantly.

you still have t accepted stephens speech about the ordination of the angels over the law huh ? It’s not the real thing it’s like a blueprint for the real thing found in the gospel. Those things had value but they don’t now they are nullified and void of any value in Christ it’s why we don’t sacrifice animals anymore

if animals blood was sufficient to deal
With sin sister then Christ suffered and died for no good reason. It was a rough draft meant not to forgive thier sins but to impute them and remind them every year on atonement day that they were sinners still. Because the laws purpose another thing it doesn’t seem
You have accepted is not the same as the gospel it’s contrary

“Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭3:19-20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

that’s why the laws sacrifices reminded them of sin that’s what it was meant for to make them know thier sin and guilt . God preserved them in rest because Christ was coming in the future ot had nothing to do with animal blood

when your reading the law look for what it can teach you about Jesus that’s how it’s useful now, because it’s a fore pattern but the gospel is for the contrary point not to “make us guilty before God by revealing our sins and guilt to us “

but by doing the exact opposite saying forst “ you have all already sinned “ but if you come to me and believe the gospel I will remit all your sins and make you clean and worthy and give you everlasting life “

The law doesn’t say that it says this which again you seem to not be accepting

“And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.

….But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:”
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭28:1-2, 15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

you would to read that whole chapter to understand the condition of the law was based solely on thier works bekng perfect doing every single command I’ve shown this next verse to you before but if you read that chapter above you will understand why Paul said this

“For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Paul’s quoting a direct reference in the law. It literally says that phrase more than once it promised curse for everyone who fell short of doing it all that’s actually why the nation of Jews has suffered so greatly for thousands of years they didn’t continue in the law and everything it commanded

they said they would but didn’t the law explicitly makes that condition and it means just that of you mess up one time your now guilty of all it says and will be cursed but again that chapter is very long you would have to read the whole chapter on exodus also in other places ot repeats that condition

if you do everything Moses wrote down in his book of the law you’ll be blessed and have good crops and live
a long life and then die that’s the best it offers but if you don’t do it all and turn away at any point you will be cursed horribly and become a byword and warning to all nations

you should read some of the conditions of the law of Moses it’s the stuff of certain death and horrible nightmares the law of course is good but the conditions places upon the people under it is horrible because it was ordained by this guy

“Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared. Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.”
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭23:20-21‬ ‭

it’s why the law appears as it does like this

“And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man that gathered sticks upon the sabbath day.

And the Lord said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp. And all the congregation brought him without the camp, and stoned him with stones, and he died; as the Lord commanded Moses.”
‭‭Numbers‬ ‭15:32, 35-36‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Gods not like that sister he’s like Jesus because that’s him so this is how Jesus is

“They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? ….So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

The Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest record of thyself; thy record is not true.”
‭‭John‬ ‭8:4-5, 7, 9-13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The Pharisees were of the mosaic law that’s why they rejected and hated Jesus he wasn’t preaching the same thing at all he wasn’t there to command them to stoke the sinner like the law says by commandment many times over because it doesn’t forgive sin it imputes sin

he was there to pardon her and convict those about to follow the law he literally stopped them from doing what Moses said they must do.

the law has a ton of value if we understand it’s a witness of Christ and accept what the New Testament teaches us about the law.
You have just knocked out all the forgiveness of sin that it tells us in Exodus that the sacrifice of animals represented if I am understanding what you say. I find it difficult to follow all your reasoning.

Heathens sacrificed animals and even babies to feed their idols and sometimes Israelites copied that sacrifice except never babies. They were warned against this.

Scripture tells us it was not the blood of animals that saved them, yet there was grace given through the sacrificial system. With repentance grace was given, the unmerited favor of God toward man.

A study of this system tells us sin by sin all that Christ does for us. They repented so completely that they asked forgiveness for sins they were not conscious of committing.

Hi all, I just wanted to write this request so that can benefit me or anyone who is like me! A recently saved coming from a different background and was exposed to basically no information about the bible. And also take advantage of the people whom God led to study the word of God

Is there a technique or a way to read the bible?
Blessings

Everybody will tell you a different way, a different technique.

People's attitude to the bible will reflect exactly their attitude to ward God. We should read the bible as though it were a letter from God sent to us each one personally ... how reverently then are we going to read it.

the way to read the word of God is

  1. in a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ being saved
  2. prayerfully read and study the word of God
  3. seek the answer patiently allow the Holy Spirit to help you
  4. limit Youtube teaching and social media or none at all for a good time and get in your room shut the door pray and read the bible
  5. fine a bible believing church. One that holds to the word of God as being :

  • without error
  • fully the inspired word of God from Gen to Rev
  • teaches the word of God is the authoritative word of God
  • Jesus is the only way for salvation
  • encourages one to share the Gospel message.

When i came to become a Christian i already believed that God existed.. So before i had a session of reading the Bible i would ( and still do today when i remember to ) ask God in prayer to help me understand what i needed to understand from the Bible scriptures that i was reading that day..

Often i ended up with more questions then understanding from the reading session but over time i would read something in another part of the Bible that would help me understand something i read before in the Bible.. Also there where some what i call A-HA moments when i would just receive understanding.. I also had some dreams that helped me understand some things..

So some things came to my mind quickly, while other things came to me a few years later.. While i want to know everything there is to know from the Bible i know it is more important to know and respond to the things that are necessary for me to understand and respond to.. I often still ask God for more understanding.. More wisdom, to be more able to answer questions and share the Gospel in a better way.. We just need to have faith in God that He will give us what we NEED.. I believe God does not give everything to His followers because to an extent we do not have the ability to understand everything.. And that is why Faith ( trusting God ) is so important in our relationship with God..

Fewer and fewer churches exist as you described. If you find one, stay, serve, and study the word.

The good thing is everything on the list provided 9 out of 10 can be done without TV, internet, or social Media.

Prayer
reading the word of God
waiting on the Holy Spirit
believing the word of God is without error and fully inspired
Share the Gospel.

There are no perfect churches because there are no perfect people. Truth is what each one of us is to hold to even if there is less doing so.

A study of this system tells us sin by sin all that Christ does for us. They repented so completely that they asked forgiveness for sins they were not conscious of committing.
yeah there’s no forgiveness under law for sin through the shedding of animal blood exactly. I think you don’t get my reasoning because you skip over the scriptures I always share with you on this subject and you go back to the pattern of the law meant to do this

It’s not meant to forgive sin this is. Or my reasoning it’s Paul’s teaching the apostle Paul. He knows way more than you or I do is my point we are supposed to learn from the apostles not reject what they say that’s why you aren’t seeing my reasoning it’s not mine it’s what Paul teaches about the law.

If the law is meant for what he said then its Meant to impute sin d hold people guilty me by any work in it no one can be justified .

are you one of those who doesn’t think Paul is an apostle ? I’ve known people who think Paul doesn’t belong in the Bible specifically because of what he teaches about the law. I’m just curious if you don’t accept Paul ?

Moses died because of one instance he didn’t obey . Because there is no forgiveness in animal blood why is it hard for you to accept what the apostles taught us of the law ? Like this

“For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year. For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10:1, 3-4‬ ‭

you understand they all were Hebrews born under the law and knew the law backwards and frontwards right ? It was their culture. It’s hard to understand why you can’t acknowledge this stuff when it’s so clear on scripture.

if animal blood dealt with mans sin then Jesus was put to death for no reason because his blood was shed for forgiveness of sin. That’s why his blood was shed because without it there was no remission of sin and everyone was going to die in thier sins.

of animal blood forgave sin under law by we’re the sinners commanded to be killed by the others ?????

“And he that curseth his father, or his mother, shall surely be put to death.”
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭21:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

why can’t they be forgiven they sacrificesd animals in the camp daily and yearly ? Why do they still get killed by the others by commandment ?

“And he that smiteth his father, or his mother, shall be surely put to death.”
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭21:15‬ ‭

how about this one this is what happens to a girl I had ore marital sex and her husband finds out she wasn’t a virgin

“But if this thing be true, and the tokens of virginity be not found for the damsel:

Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die: because she hath wrought folly in Israel, to play the whore in her father's house: so shalt thou put evil away from among you.”
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭22:20-21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Why couldn’t she repent and be forgiven ? Why is it a death sentance without pity ?

“Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.”
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭31:15‬ ‭

I can keep going on and on not just stonings but hangings , burning alive , strangling ect cutting off of hands l done under the instruction “ show no pity no Mercy you must put the sinner to death “

Why couldn’t they be forgiven but why does Christ start calling to repentance and offering forgiveness for sin why does Jesus save the woman the law puts to death ?

it doesn’t seem like the law was offering forgiveness but guaranteeing death to sinners

“Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.”
‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭18:4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

sin wasn’t forgiven until Jesus came to live among us and started forgiving sin

“When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭2:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭7:48‬ ‭KJV‬‬

when you read thkngs like this in the Old Testament it’s a foretelling of Christ not the reality. It points to the messiah who would come to Forgive sins.

“For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls:

for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.”
‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭17:11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

that’s a pattern pointing to Jesus and his bloodshed on the cross

now to be clear some were forgiven of sins in the ot but not by the sacrifices of the law but by the promises made beforehand of Jesus like king David who found mercy for his many sins but not because of sacrifices he made but because he relented and asked the lord for mercy and forgiveness

David is actually one of the roots of the new covenant because Thy e old didn’t offer what he received

“Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭55:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

That’s pointing to Christ and the gospel not backwards to the law that imputed sin

anyways sister it seems we always see this subject differently no hard feelings or anything at all. I really truly believe you would benefit by looking at the New Testament teachings about the laws purpose and function

those Men know better than we do and we’re appointed to teach those things about the old law otherwise it obscures our view by just looking at what Moses had to say

“And not as Moses, which put a veil over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:

But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same veil untaken away in the reading of the old testament;

which veil is done away in Christ. But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the veil is upon their heart.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:13-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Moses law has a veil over it and obscures the persons view but Christ reveals the truth and clear sight

Hello again @Yahyaka, there is an Arabic translation of the MacArthur Study Bible that you may find useful. This study Bible has the complete OT/NT text, of course, with commentary about the Biblical text right there on the same page where you find the verse or passage you are studying (to help you better understand the context and/or meaning of the Biblical text, when needed).

When I am studying a verse or a passage, the MacArthur Study Bible is rarely where I finish my study, but it is oft times the place that I turn to first to begin my study.

I believe it is on sale right now as well. Go here if you are interested in reading more about it (or ordering it).

God bless you!

Is there a technique or a way to read the bible?
One very important thing to know as you start your learning journey...

The Spirit of the Lord is real and wants to help you. Let It. Talk to The Spirit. Christianity is more of a relationship with our Maker than a Religion. It is possible to memorize the whole Bible yet have it profit you nothing.

The foundation we build upon needs to be a relationship and realization of the personhood of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. The Bible speaks of this building on a firm foundation...

1 Corinthians
3:10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
3:11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Many today err because they build upon sand rather than the solid rock, which is Jesus...

Matthew
7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
7:25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
7:26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
7:27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

you don't read posts saying that if God meant what he said then if we love God we will obey Him, yet that is in scripture, also.

If you hold fast to Christ within you you hold fast to being perfect and accept the perfection of Christ. You can't serve Christ and thumb your nose at the law, it would be impossible. It would be keeping your fleshly will instead of accepting Christ. You can't serve two masters, you have to choose.

Hi all, I just wanted to write this request so that can benefit me or anyone who is like me! A recently saved coming from a different background and was exposed to basically no information about the bible. And also take advantage of the people whom God led to study the word of God

Is there a technique or a way to read the bible?
Read as if God is looking over your shoulder to see what interests you. When you come to something you don't understand, take a moment to ask "God, what does this mean?" or "Does this really mean what it sounds like it means?", or "Will you do that for me, too?" etc.

As for where... I agree with Nehemiah6's suggestion to start in the gospel of John (New testament, 4th book) because you'll learn later that "perfect love casts out (exiles) fear" and John's account is full of love. Read the other Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke) as you see fit, Then go right on into Acts so you can learn what it's like when the Holy Ghost shows up. And just keep on reading.

When you start the Old Testament, it can get rather heavy. If you find you are losing interest, just flip some pages until you find something interesting. It's all good for you. Proverbs and Ecclesiastes are about wisdom, Psalms talks about probably every emotion you can feel... each book is different but they all go together.

I wish you well on your journey and will pray for God to open his will and word to you.

Love in Jesus,
Kelby
