God Said to Adam

but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”

Satan said to Eve
For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

Eve said to Satan.

We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden,3 but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’”

I noticed that Satan told the whole truth to Eve. How there eyes will be opened and they will be like God knowing Good and Evil. However he lied about one thing to her which was death.

Also God didn't fully tell the whole truths to Adam about knowing Good and Evil. Instead said there would be death.

Why didn't Eve instantly die when she touches the fruit and ate. However when she gave it to Adam. Theirs eyes began to open?

I have a theory the only reason Satan deceives Eve was so he could become the ruler of this earth. Since he knows to be a prince of darkness. He wanted Adam too lose his right as the ruler of the world and be dead. After all Adam punishment from God was to return from back to dust.

They werent told they die immediately. But with them came death which is why we all have to die.
Satan made them doubt what God said.

Oh ok which is why it explains why Adam live so long. I thought if they eat the fruit they would literally die from that moment.

Their disobedience brought separation from God, which caused death
in this world (Disease, damaged DNA, weeds, struggles, pain, suffering, sorrow,
bondage to Satan etc) and ultimately death in the next life (eternal seperation
from God).

You are right though that when sin came in, they gave up their positions as they
were suppose to be over all things, the pinnacle of God’s creation.

Satan became the ruler of this world instead.

I have read the Fall soooooo many times because I see it as essential to understanding truth and sin.

Adam as 1 person knew the truth but, when the woman was made, a part of his complete self was separated. So questioning them separately leads to half truths.

Amazingly without being told what is true, Eve still had the truth within her....She just didn’t know which was the right path to take.

Adam also fell to the exact same weakness that Eve did. Eve was drawn in by the pleasant sight of the fruit and Adam was drawn by the sight of a naked woman.

When the serpent asked Eve if God said SHE was allowed to eat from the tree, she never answered the question as 1 person, her 1st answer implied they BOTH are allowed.

I think the main theme of this is to recognize that unless a man and wife constantly bounce thoughts and feelings, both are lost alone, unsure of what is the right thing to do.

Why didn't Eve instantly die when she touches the fruit and ate.
Hi Amberlynlover7, God never told our first parents not to "touch" the fruit. Unfortunately, they both ate it, which they were commanded not to do, and they died as a result of their disobedience, and that in two different ways, I believe.

1. They died "spiritually". It was their spiritual deaths (that separated their souls from God) that were immediate .. cf Ephesians 2:1-3. And it is from "spiritual" death that God quickens/regenerates us, and causes us those of us who are His to be "born again"/"made alive" spiritually, together with Christ .. Ezekiel 36:26-27; John 3:3; Ephesians 2:4-5.

2. They also, like the rest of the created realm (space/time), began to decay and die "physically" as soon as they disobeyed God.

As for why our progenitors did not die the moment they ate, both spiritually AND physically, I believe that comes down to these three wondrous things, the mercy, grace and everlasting love of God :) (God began the scarlet thread of redemption, which was finished at the Cross, immediately after Adam/Eve sinned .. Genesis 3:21).

~Deut
p.s. - what they did affected us all, and the Creation itself, because "through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin" .. Rom 5:12.

Psalm 51
5 Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me.

I also read the story about life of Adam and Eve right now. It explained clearly why did Satan made God angry. Satan was supposed to worship Adam. However Satan refused which we was cast down on the earth.

Hi again Amberlynlover7, Lilith is Jewish folklore (Jewish mythology), not Biblical truth.

Satan was supposed to worship Adam.
If you don't mind me asking, where did you read that?

Thanks!

~Deut
p.s. - the Bible tells us that Satan/Lucifer didn't want to worship God.

Isaiah 14
12 How you are fallen from heaven,
O Lucifer, son of the morning!
How you are cut down to the ground,
You who weakened the nations!
13 For you have said in your heart:
"I will ascend into heaven,
I will exalt my throne above the stars of God;
I will also sit on the mount of the congregation
On the farthest sides of the north;
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds,
I will be like the Most High".

I noticed that Satan told the whole truth to Eve.
You would sooner believer Satan's lies than God's truth. Kindly read and study carefully before making bizarre comments. Unless you are here to promote a specific agenda.

About the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

God gave Adam and Eve a choice, and that is why the tree of the knowledge of good and evil was there.

Adam and Eve were created with an innocent nature in flesh, which Adam was created in the image of God, and Adam is the figure of Him to come, Jesus Christ, which is the Word that became flesh, for God had the plan to come in the future in flesh before He laid down the foundation of the world, and created Adam in that image.

So it would of never entered Adam and Eve's mind to eat of the tree unless an outside source tempted them, so God allowed Satan to tempt Eve, and she said they cannot eat of the tree for that is all she knew, and could think, and then Satan tempted her by saying if she eats of the tree, and Adam does too, that they will be as gods knowing good and evil, and have a higher position, exaltation, than their current position, and possibly God could not go against them in their higher position.

Eve ate of the tree and sinned, and then Eve was the outside source that tempted Adam by showing him she did not die, and Adam ate of the tree and sinned.

They did not die right away, but would die eventually through process of time, and the tree of life was in the garden, and God did not tell them they could not eat from that.

But when they sinned God ousted them from the garden, and guarded the tree of life, so they could not eat from it and live forever, for if they ate of that tree in their sinful state then they would be in that condition forever, and then there could be no salvation for there would be no reversal.

And why would God want to protect the tree pf life so they would not eat of it, and that is probably because they knew it was the tree of life, and they ate of it while in the garden, and wanted to go back and eat of it so they could reverse what happened to them when they ate of the tree of the knowledge of gold and evil, and was banned from the garden.

When they sinned their eyes were opened, and they knew they did wrong, and tried to cover their shame with fig leaves, which is people's first attempt at religion that falls short of the glory of God, and God fully clothed them.

I just read it right now... But watching a youtube video of the origin of Satan. It show the story about the life of Adam and eve.
Youtube and Sacred Texts are not any reliable source for Bible truth. Stick with the Bible.

I'm not promoting anything. I'm just asking questions and concerns on my personal thought about the bible.
