2 John 10-11New American Standard Bible (NASB)

10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house, and do not give him a greeting; 11 for the one who gives him a greeting participates in his evil deeds.

Proverbs 13:20-21New American Standard Bible (NASB)

20 He who walks with wise men will be wise,
But the companion of fools will suffer harm.
21 Adversity pursues sinners,
But the righteous will be rewarded with prosperity.

1 Corinthians 5:11
But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not even eat with such people.

1 Corinthians 15:33 (CEB)

Don't be deceived, bad company corrupts good character.

Proverbs 12:26 One who is righteous is a guide to his neighbor, but the way of the wicked leads them astray.

Proverbs 14:6-7 A scoffer seeks wisdom in vain, but knowledge is easy for a man of understanding. Leave the presence of a fool, for there you do not meet words of knowledge.

Proverbs 17:17 A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.

Zacchaeus the Tax Collector
Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through. [SUP]2 [/SUP]A man was there by the name of Zacchaeus; he was a chief tax collector and was wealthy. [SUP]3 [/SUP]He wanted to see who Jesus was, but because he was short he could not see over the crowd. [SUP]4 [/SUP]So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see him, since Jesus was coming that way.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today.” [SUP]6 [/SUP]So he came down at once and welcomed him gladly.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]All the people saw this and began to mutter, “He has gone to be the guest of a sinner.”
[SUP]8 [/SUP]But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount.”
[SUP]9 [/SUP]Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham. [SUP]10 [/SUP]For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”

At first I thought that the thread was about music....

:) But after reading the post and considering 1 Thess 2:13 KJV, I thought I would spice the thread up a bit since it written that the LORD would raise up men of truth from amongst us that we should listen to. George Washington's testimony is just one of many I have read and the topic of the thread brought that particular one to mind.
