why would we have to go out side the bible for evidence of it being true. just because i understand why some are there is still truth in place to prove its fact inside it the bible.
allegory.
give a man a fish, you feed that man for a day. teach that man to fish, he feeds him self and family for a life time.

for example.
bearing in mind 70 ad was already in place before any human open this book we call the bible.
when we read the law and it requirement to what the bible named jewish people, and the jewish people depended in god by following it the law and decrees that were given to them via moses. the jewish people needed a temple of stone because of the requirement of law and decrees .

the question is asked by moving this temple, what would it mean to a non christian jew.
so if pharisee teachers of law and scribes, etc could not follow it fully, how could anyone else follow it.
and when we ask our selfs ,why was it moved in the first place.

with acts2 ,acts 10 and acts 15, in place, who would need a temple of stone. because you would need to believe in who.
First, all of God's good creation glorifies the Lord. For Jesus said that even the stones would be willing to praise Him. Second, your denial of Biblical evidences and or it's validity does not undermine "faith" or walking sight unseen. Even with the evidencee I provided, it still requires faith for you to believe. The evidence is there for those few he need a little encouragment and or push either to God, and or a nudge back to Him, and or so as to draw closer to Him. This in no way is a replacement for prayer, reading God's Word, and walking with the Lord within His good ways. Giving a reason to others for the hope that is in you is not an un-Biblical concept. Apologetics is a part of the faith in what many Christians do today (Regardless of whether you agree with it or not). For Jesus said do not bother those who appear to be doing the same work as you. Anyways, knowing that your faith is grounded in real world things is not an undermine of your faith but it merely shows that your faith is logical and orderly because God is logical and orderly. For God designed the universe that way. Are you against God's good creation? Third, Christians who use Apologetics are not going outside the Bible as if it was a threat to the Bible. No, no. Most certainly not. But we are confirming the Bible with external and internal evidences. This also does not change the message of the gospel or prevent us from preaching Jesus Christ and Him crucified, buried, and risen three days later (So as to save us from our sins and for us to have a new life in Him). For what of the people that have been encouraged by Christian apologetics and or by Biblical evidences? What about those few believers who came to the faith in light of the Biblcial evidences? Tough luck? Too bad for them?

Four, this is not an Antinomianism, OSAS, or Works vs Grace thread. We have plenty of those threads here already. So please do not disrupt this thread with words that would lead in that direction.

This thread is not about how you want. That is not the point of the OP (The Original Post). It is about discussing the Biblical Evidences that support God's Word. It is an apologetics thread. It's not a thread for you to debate and tear down those who are looking for that little extra encouragment. In other words, if you do not have any Biblical evidences to share or you kind words of enccouragment and goodness to contribute to thread, then please move on.

To put it to you another way, if you feel like replying to this post so as to disagree, please exercise some restraint and do not do so. For I will not read your rebuttal back. If you ignore my post and you persist to disrupt this thread with trying to tear down Christians using apoologetics, then I will contact someone at CC for you to stop.

In any event, may God's love, peace, and blessings be unto you.

Anyways, getting back to the Evidences that Support the Truth of God's Word: In the Scriptures we learn that the Lord literally burned the top of Mt. Sinai (Exodus 19) (Deuteronomy 5). In fact, today, people have witnessed the burned top of Mt. Sinai. A Mountain that is now called "Jabal al Lawz" in Saudi Arabia. A mountain that you can see that is burned at the top.

Exodus 19:18
"And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the Lord descended upon it in fire: and smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly."

There is even evidence that confirms the Red Sea crossing, too. A great video to check out these evidences (That is also available on DVD if you do not like the video quality) can be watched here:

In addition, I would also recommend watching the following video here, as well. This video reveals more of the discoveries made at Mt. Sinai. Such as Elijah's cave, certain artifacts, and the split rock.

Psalm 105:41

"He opened the rock, and waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places like a river."

Again, if you don't like the resolution of the video at YouTube, I do believe the DVD is still available on Amazon or other select sites.

god never asked stone to believe in him.
the bible said a lot of things, but context would have to be in, what change did god and jesus make.
sorry what law for repentance.
did you miss again 70 ad, what supports repentance to law that no body alive can follow with out a temple of stone. and by or after reading the torah. so why would you be telling anyone jew or gentile to follow a full law. so your saying follow a part law, of what you have recommended to be of use to a believer and forget about the change god already made.

so a new covenant was put in place, so we could follow a water down law, even though jesus christ had to die for the forgiveness of all that believe in him.what else did he do by following the fathers will, to what and how this new covenant was put in place.

Isaiah 49: The Servant of the LORD

he says:
"It is too light a thing that you should be my servant
to raise up the tribes of Jacob
and to bring back the preserved of Israel;
I will make you as a light for the nations,
that my salvation may reach to the end of the earth."

and
God's Steadfast Love and Compassion
18 Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity
and passing over transgression
for the remnant of his inheritance?
He does not retain his anger forever,
because he delights in steadfast love.
19 He will again have compassion on us;
he will tread our iniquities underfoot.
You will cast all our sins
into the depths of the sea.Micah 7

For God So Loved the World
16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

what part did i play in saving my self or anyone else. i will stick with whoever believe in god through jesus.

god bless you.

Hi Jason, thanks for linking this from the other thread. Can you give me some examples of the above that are in the bible?

You can read about the various different sciences here at the link I provided in my original post.

Eternal Productions - 101 Scientific Facts and Foreknowledge

Side Note:

Oh, and while the Bible confirms the existence of dinosaurs, the best evidence for dino's is the soft tissue found in the bone of a T-Rex. Granted, I am sure you don't believe the original reports and you believe the opposing view that says that it is a lie (of course). Again, Biblical Evidences within this thread is for those who are looking for God. That is the purpose and intent of this thread. While there are many evidences that back up God's Word, it still requires a level of faith to take that step to believe in God. If you are willing to be open to the existence of God whereby you want to accept Him, I will be happy to discuss the various evidences in more detail with you. If you are here to just shoot down the evidences in God's Word, then I am afraid you have misunderstood the purpose and intent of this thread, my friend.

Anyways, one of the best evidences for Geology is that fossilized trees have been found going through the different rock layers that are supposed to be millions of years. Sea shells can be found on the tops of the highest mountains today, too. If the Earth was all covered by water millions of years ago, then the sea shells would have eroded away by the weathering of the elements in that amount of time. Furthermore, there are also hundreds of cultures today that have global flood stories within them, too.

There is a problem with that though.

Its like being in a courtroom and saying that a man is guilty of murder, but the evidence only holds up if you believe he is guilty.

Good solid evidence will transcend any presupposition and will transcend any personal bias.

Evidence should determine someone's viewpoint. Not the other way around.

God's Word says that man is without excuse that there is a God. For God's wondrous creation reveals such a thing to you. So your scenario does not apply here. We are not in a courtroom setting evaluating evidence objectively. Hence, which is why that is not the focus and intent of this thread. The purpose of this thread is for those people who are looking and who are open to the Truth (And not close minded). For if you are close minded, then it serves no purpose to discuss any evidence with you (Because you will just reject it outright anyways). So you have to be open to the idea that God is real and that He exists.

However, personally, I did not need any evidence to know that God exists. I did not need evidence to know I was a habitual sinner (In times past) whereby I needed the Lord's grace and salvation. I did not need any evidence to experience the conviction of God in order to repent of my sins according to His Word. I trusted God by faith and He made Himself known to me (In a very powerful way). As a matter of fact, I firmly believe that if anyone is objective with the Biblical Evidence, they would repent and accept Jesus as their Savior. However, evidence is not required nor needed in order to know God. But I know you have your own personal bias in not believing God at His Word. So this has nothing to do with you pretending to be objective here. We both know you are on the other side of the line that God does not exist and you are unwilling to cross that line. In order to be objective here, you have to be willing to cross that line and actually believe God exists (With no doubt within you) and truly consider that He is very real (And that you would be willing to accept Him if He is real). In other words, you would have to be truly open minded to the idea that God exists and explore that option to it's fullest in order to be objective. To not do so, would mean you are not being objective.

Anyways, I do not say any of this to wound you, but I say this to lead you to the love and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

May you one day know His love, peace, and grace.

With loving kindness to you in Christ,

Sincerely,

~Jason.

If this thread is not for me, and there is no purpose discussing it with me.. Why did you link this thread when I asked for evidence? Lol

Why? Well, to show you that there is evidence instead of having you remain in the dark that there is none. In other words, even though I knew you would reject any or all evidence that backs up the Word of God, I did not want you to remain ignorant that there are indeed many evidences that support the Scriptures.

hello Jason, i seen this info

Similarities between Joseph and Imhotep

https://theegyptianidentityofjoseph...jacob-israel-was-imhotep-of-egyptian-history/

wondered if it has any merit ? thanks
While I do acknowledge Bible History and Biblical Archaeology, I do not put my entire trust in it like I do the Bible itself. Historical Evidences are not as powerful to me as Observable Evidences when it comes to proving the Truth of God's Word. For we really do not have any way of knowing what happened in History actually. Somebody could be cooking up a nice story along with using similar artifacts so as make it sound like that is what happened. I believe the life of Joseph and knowing His story so as to relate it to Jesus Christ is far more important to know. Granted, there are evidences that are a little harder to ignore (Like with the existence of Mt. Sinai and the Red Sea nearby).

But I will take a look at it a little later. However, just to let you know (so as to be honest): I am not an archaeologist or anything. I am just a student of God's Word.
