Hello, dear brethren.

Some days ago, I saw "The Greatest Story Ever Told". This is the first time I saw it since I am a born again, and, mostly, since I know the New Testament. I was in shock after seeing so much Biblical inaccuracy, to the point I no longer wanted to keep watching it.

Also, 2 days ago, I saw also a clip from a movie I never saw before: "The King of Kings". Jesus visiting John the Baptist at prison?! "Son of God" has also Biblical inaccuracies! "Jesus of Nazareth" has, too...!

I wish we could have a accurate movie of our Lord! Would it be much to ask?

May the Lord bless you, dear brethren!

Yes, I´ve seen it also. Thank you!

But my point is to have a movie about Jesus according to all Gospels. In fact, I would love to see a movie based on John MacArthur´s book: "One Perfect Life: The Complete Story of the Lord Jesus".

You mean all those secular made Hollywood movies aren't accurate? /gasp!
Of all the things in the world for Christians to worry about I think movies should be pretty low on the list. I sometimes imagine what Paul would say about Christians in this day and age if he were alive. I think very few would escape his scathing correction, myself included. Paul was out preaching non-stop to the point of facing prison and persecution. The average Christian today spends most of their time trying to find 'good' Christian entertainment to watch on their homes.

Why use McArthur's book? Have you read the Bible? I'd bet it is more accurate than McArthur's book!

The Bible tells a story from the beginning of man until our end. It told the people 300 years before, the exact day Jesus would show up at Jerusalem. From the beginning that blood would be shed on the Cross for our sins.

Anytime when they create a movie from the Bible it is wrong. Look to Ruth. Only, Four Chapters telling you about the Kindmans redeemeer and yet, they screw it up.

Mel Gibson had one, "The passion for Christ". While I watched it, I was amazed and saddened by the amount of unhuman torture Jesus had to go through at the hands of the Romans. Daniel let us know how bad they were when the only words he would use to describe them as a Beast that destroyed everything in its path.

The movies are entertaining but stick to the main Bible (perferably the KJV) to get God's Word.

Because it synthesizes all four gospels into one cohesive story.

I very much enjoy the gospel of John word for word movie based on the gospel text though I would prefer they had used a different translation than the Good News Bible. There is also a movie based word for word on the gospel of Luke KJV.

It´s much more than that. It covers Scriptures form Genesis to Apocalypse, focused on Jesus. That´s why I believe it would be a great work to follow, in order to make a movie.

Though I am not personally familiar with MacArthur's book so I did not know it had that compass beyond the gospels... MacArthur's book does sound interesting :)

That´s why I added: In fact, I would love to see a movie based on John MacArthur´s book: "One Perfect Life: The Complete Story of the Lord Jesus". :) Precisely because it covers all Scripture. :D

Yes, I do recommend reading it. It´s amazing!

put all the gospels together....Sorry, I thought there was only one Gospel (Jesus Christ) according to the inspired (by Christ) Apostles.

Yes indeed many supposedly Bible movies are not Biblical.. They take away from the Word of God and add too the Word of God and thus they have placed a curse upon themselves..
