Hey all! I am new here and would first like to say hello and God Bless. I would like to further add a nice place where it puts this big bang into perspective.

Great site! The pastor knows how to make the most of his words. He says more in 3 minutes than a lot of pastors do in 45 minutes. It set me to thinking about many things. Thanks!

You are totally welcome superdave!! I was given the book Crazy Love by a good friend of mine. It is only like 7 bucks at the nearest bookstore. I REALLY encourage you to get it, because it sets up a course for you that is unbelievable. I am going to read it again after my wife comes home. It is so good you can't just read it once. The online website www.crazylovebook.com is a supplement to the book, but is also great even if you don't have the book. Best Wishes and God Bless bud.

oh wise one...now can you explain the pillars for my simple mind please
Well we're not talking about Greek doric marble columns and pillars, obviously given the Earth is spherical the 'pillars' which means 'the fixed foundations upholding' would be inside the Earth.

'His legs are like pillars of marble' Song 5:15. See that does not actually mean that his legs were made out of marble stone, it a litery device called 'metaphor'. Or when God says 'the Earth is My footstool', see that does not mean that the Earth is shaped as a small squat chair that God rests His feet upon when He is tired...

It's actually a myth that people used to think that the earth was flat.
I think what you meant is that it is a myth that the christians and the church believed the earth was flat.

I think you've fallen for the Kabbalistic lies and satan deception which has come upon the earth that the earth is round. The bible says pillars and the Hebrews could have used better words to describe it if they thought the world was not flat. The Earth is my footstool - is further evidence that the earth is flat. A footstool is not round, that would be uncomfortable. The Hebrews were not stupid they knew what a sphere was and if they thought the earth was spherical they would have said so and used the word for ball, not circle.

They should have said "God sits upon the ball of the earth", if they knew the earth was round.

If the earth is indeed round as you claim, how you explain that Daniel and Christ could see the whole earth from a high mountain or high tree?:

Luk 4:5 And the Devil, leading Him up into a high mountain, showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.

Dan 4:11 The tree grew and was strong, and its height reached to the heavens; and the sight of it reached to the end of all the earth.

How far can your eyes see? How far can God's eyes see? Your lacking in understanding of Christology, and this is apparent in your posts.

Dan 4:11 The tree grew and was strong, and its height reached to the heavens; and the sight of it reached to the end of all the earth.

Dream, do you know what the word 'dream' means? See I am not sure English is your first language, because your reading comprehension is of a very poor level.

Luke 4:5 - did or did not Christ see the whole world as it says? from a high mountain? I'm not denying what scripture plainly says.

So he dreamed of a flat earth?

Your comprehension is quite poor, you don't know what circle means, or pillar, or can't comprehend that the whole earth cannot be viewed from a high mountain or a tree, if the earth is round.

Omnipresent Christ saw the whole world, going up a mountain is an example of his humanity, like I said you do not understand Christology and hence your ignorance.

Your just lacking in education and reading comprehension, and it's not entirely your fault, our labour intensive 'education' factories produce minds of very limited capacity, in fact their objective is to destroy the mind, and unfortunately we see the horrible result of that system.

So he dreamed of a flat earth?
No, just a very large tree.

Your comprehension is quite poor, you don't know what circle means, or pillar, or can't comprehend that the whole earth cannot be viewed from a high mountain or a tree, if the earth is round.

Actually, even if the earth was flat you could not see every kingdom from a mountain top. What you can see (If it is a solitary peak) is the curve of the earth. Similarly you can get into an airplane and fly high enough to see it, if you're interested.

So you really deny that satan actually took Christ up a high mountain ?

No, I just said that Jesus Christ going to the top of the mountain was His humanity, the seeing of the entire world is His omnipresent Son of God, this is the glorious capability of the nature of Christ.

Then why did he need to go up a high mountain if he could see all the nations of the earth anywhere due to his omnipresence ?
If he was omnipresent he would not have had to go up a high mountain.

Because of His humanity, and our humanity.
