Sadly, no. I am still at 2 smokes a day. This is really crazy as that is not a whole lot of nicotine in the first place. I still get cravings though-out the day for more. I must reach a point where I just give up those two smokes and suffer for however long it takes for the cravings to greatly diminish to where smoking is no longer on my mind. I must be a coward in this regards as the thought of not smoking for the rest of my life scares me.

Hey tourist. I don't know you (except for seeing you around here), but I heard that if you give up smokes and endure the pain for two weeks that you can kick the habit. It'll be a rough two weeks, but you can do it!

One more thing.

There was some stressful events in my life (and some that I am still going through) and I turned to beer to help me cope. I didn't get sloppy drunk, but I felt the effects...maybe 2-3 times a week I would drink. Far too much.

I tried several times to just tell myself that "I AM GOING TO STOP THIS."

I failed each-and-every-time.

It wasn't until I threw up my hands and I gave the burden of addiction to God. I prayed out loud for Him to give me HIS STRENGTH, because before I leaned on myself thinking I can will myself to stop, and I couldn't.

But this time I asked God to give me HIS POWER to resist the temptation and almost immediately the urge left me. The next day...nothing. Didn't even think about stopping at the store for some beer. The Power of God to help overcome sin is amazing. We are frail and weak, He is infinitely more able to help us overcome any obstacle we face.

There's something to catch here: When I depended on my will, my power and my strength to defeat sin I failed. When I turned it over to God and asked for HIS Power and Strength I was cured.

You may want to pray this prayer tonight. Even if you don't, I will for you =)

You can do it brother. People close to you need you around here on earth, stay here as long as you can and carry out the will God has placed before you from all eternity.

From the boasting OSAS preachers, who have gone ahead of the sound doctrine knowledge of the New Covenant given Scripture, by preaching another to deceive many and have control over them. So that in ignorance, they will welcome such preachers to their congregation of 'itching ears' again and again and in rejoice give them a 'fat' offering sum. These were present during the Apostle's time and am not surprised at all, to have them here even today.

Yes, your conscience Biblically is right that GOD dislikes it. HE through HIS unworthy servants, wants us not to judge, but to only remind and stir up memory about a 'jealous' GOD, watching HIS children who are still learning 'astray', because of the deceiving facts of 'elemental spirits' according to Romans chapter 1, naturally of this deceived carnal/fleshly knowledge and 'self' centered world, without the true GOD and in enmity to GOD.

In the time of Moses, in the book of Deuteronomy, while he once again reminded and stir up the memory of Israelite of GOD's given Covenant, which GOD made with them earlier when they came out of Egypt, and also his loving duty to them, before he leaves his body, and further while there were also remain Pagans lived surrounding their nation and in their ignorance practices of false god worships, even sacrificing their own children.

Moses said to them, 'not to see and be influenced in the their pattern of worship to their gods, and imitate such ideas in practices and establish them in Israel, mixed with their given initially by GOD 'instructions' of worship and together worship in pleasing to the LORD their GOD. For the LORD thy GOD forbids and it will be an 'abomination' against HIM.'.

Along the years when GOD was silent, because HIS Covenant through Moses have already been given and also reminded, Israel forgot in their busyness, GOD's Covenant and the instructions through Moses, even the Priests, elders/leaders and scribes, chosen, acting on behalf of GOD in taking good care HIS lambs and sheep of Israel. Mainly the punishment Israel faced as violating GOD's Covenant through Moses was 'abomination' against HIS Holiness. HIS complaint to the Prophets HE sends again and again to warn Israel, is based on this adoption 'yeast' of unbelievers.

And also the same Living GOD through CHRIST, in the New Covenant, and by the Help of the HOLY SPIRIT taught us that;

"Do not be conformed to the pattern of this world, but rather allow GOD to renew your thinking."

Renew our thinking through HIS 'every Word'(CHRIST's HOLY SPIRIT teachings and revelations of the Holy Bible, that is 'all Scripture was inspired')

GOD willing in the name of LORD JESUS CHRIST, i do not care what historians, theologians or even muslims or even also 'wise and prudent Christians' research, think, say that the Holy Bible is corrupted and is corrupt. But what remains 'at hand' still, by the will of GOD is sufficient for my foundation of faith and there are still remain valuable 'Spiritual lessons' to grow from, with and by the Help of the HOLY SPIRIT our placed 'Helper', as an 'ordinary people' like others unwise and as a child of GOD for now.

These people of growing doubts, 'equally yoked with this world' and forgetting GOD's Covenant's 'every Word', truly are not
born from above of water and of the HOLY SPIRIT. 'As it is written about them, that;

"They will look and look(in the Holy Bible and everywhere), but they cannot see. They will listen and listen(to the least important, unworthy servants of GOD and whom in irritation of the 'light', which only highlights darkness and which remains in them, whom they will also plot and persecute later) but they cannot hear."

Because GOD by CHRIST and whom prayed to the FATHER, Himself said;

"Thank you FATHER that You have hid these from the 'wise and prudent' and showed them to 'ordinary people'."

So beloved Blain of CHRIST and also others, the LORD wants me to serve, as a reminder and a sir up of memeory to church that, as it is written;

"Give back to the emperor what belongs to the emperor and give to GOD what belongs to GOD."

And so in similarity;

"Give back to the world what belongs to the world and give to GOD what belongs to GOD."

You are all and me truly blessed hearing these and other's of Grace and Truth of the 'New and Old treasure' of the Covenants in the name of LORD JESUS CHRIST.

i like your imaginary magazine. i guess i'll try to fold a napkin, but they don't hold creases very well. . .

sometimes if i don't have much money for a tip i'll fold a dollar into a pig or an elephant, so it seems like it's worth more. i wonder though if some wait staff aren't miffed about that since they have to unfold it to spend it!

speaking of wait staff, when we go out to eat, they act as our servants -- how can we turn that about and be their servants, other than leaving a big tip as we could afford it? i try to pre-bus my dishes, arrange them all together so they are easy to carry away, and easy for the dishwasher to separate and do his job -- any other ideas?

Leave Christian literature a little pamphlet about salvation or second coming of Jesus.....worth more than money....might save a life....

These 'unmarked graves' and 'waterless pits' who have responded in the fruit of their 'flesh' of 'sensuality', which is hostile to GOD and wars against the HOLY SPIRIT, are continuing boldly;

Because of 'Grace and Truth' given New Covenant still shinning as the 'light' for this world and as a 'beacon' for 'spirit of truth' and 'spirit of error' Christians, the ignorance still have a chance of repentance while they can. Meantime they will have mercy and tolerance from GOD, for being influence in ignorance and remaining a childish Christian, who in further ignorance boldly, 'insult', 'mistreat' and 'tell all kind of evil lies' of CHRIST's unworthy servants because of HIM who they serve unworthily. HE encourages them to be 'joy and excited' in these times of tribulations and persecutions. For these ignorant people 'did the same things to the Prophets who lived long ago'.

For sure i do not know at all, for i am not called to be a 'busybody' of his life. But the LORD JESUS CHRIST, whom we serve unworthily, know for sure all things about him and others and me, who have armored us with the 'sword of the SPIRIT' to cut through, till the depth of one's heart and they cannot hide anything from the HIM.

If they continue to remain in ignorant and slumber party in hardheadedness as the Pharisees did, they will miss out in 'hearing GOD's voice today', which through CHRIST's unworthy and undeserving servants, they are spiritually and mindfully spoken which acts as a reminder and a stir up of memory of the made New Covenant to constantly remember all that is written and taught.

Want to take a 'short cut' using partial Scripture to justify Salvation and go to Heaven, then go on ahead, for i am not only for whom think they are the only one called, but to others who are also witnessing and growing with CHRIST.

If we were to join your 'partying cafe' club, then we will be dividers and unknowingly also be left behind. In the context of the New Covenant we are instructed to attend funerals, rather than parties, in order to experience and feel the affliction of others and in their grieves. Only the ignorant people were partying during the days of Noah and the same during 'the day of the SON of man'.
