Good evening

Is anyone aware of any books written on the subject of the authorship of the books of the bible, particularly the New Testament? i.e. discussing the various challenges made to their authorship and various defences, etc...

There are I am sure many but something that can help you understand the authors and details surrounding the book, look for a book called "New Testament Survey", talks about the authors and more about each of the books in the NT.

Hi Sharp,

2 books that I have read myself are:

'Introducing the New Testament" Author, John Drane.

and

"Introducing the New Testament - It's Literature and Theology" Achteimer,Green and Thompson.

D.A Carson has a good NT survey, anyhow the above books should be available at amazon.
