Repentance and regret go hand and hand. If you do not regret your behavior you have no desire to repent. Why you are defending the one who betrayed Christ..........very odd.
Not defending you are reading into my statement, but you are making many, many assumptions and they do not go hand in hand, a person can have much regret but never repent.
To repent means to change one's mind, it does not mean to feel sorry about one's sins or to stop sinning like some street preachers wrongly preach.

Not an interpretation that is the truth and teaching of the passage.

The false teacher is the one who preaches salvation is a temporary status dependent on the works of man to keep it.
What, based on what you want to hear?

“For it is impossible, in the case of those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have shared in the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come, and then have fallen away, to restore them again to repentance, since they are crucifying once again the Son of God to their own harm and holding him up to contempt.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭6:4-6‬ ‭ESV‬

It is clear, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE, if you have been enlightened and tasted the heavenly gifts and HAVE shared in the Holy Spirit, (THEN FALL AWAY) meaning: after having been restored then fall away AGAIN, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE to be restored. I do not know what glasses you are using to read this, but you are putting roses where there are none. It is IMPOSSIBLE to be restored, perhaps the words allude you in meaning?

Regret is an emotion and so is repentance. You loose! You put them down as bodily functions both are EMOTIONS , not like blowing your nose and using the toilet. If repentance is not an emotion what is it?

People like you, fear being wrong more than they fear God. You can two step all you want, educated people do not buy into happy horse poo. Hand and hand, regret and repentance as I said , not to mention that I CORRECTLY Interpreted the Hebrew passages. I -not alone either, but by the Holy Spirit. And St. Peter affirmed too- the meaning.

Well scripture does not contradict itself.
What you have written is in complete contradiction to the words of the author.

If you could step outside of your biased lens with some understanding of the written expression of the author's style, Greek, the Old Testament sacrifices, you would know what is referred to as "impossible" is to be born again more than once. It is a onetime sealed event.

Fall away is not referring to loss of salvation either!!

We are secure in Christ that is the whole point of the letter to Hebrews, we do not have ongoing sacrifices for sin any longer, the sacrifice of Jesus is once, born again is once and to try and be go back and be born again and again is putting Christ to open shame since it is declaring His one sacrifice was not sufficient to save.

He does not loose those He has adopted.

John 6:37

37 All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and him who comes to Me I shall by no means cast out.

38 For I have come down from heaven not to do My own will but the will of Him who sent Me.

39 And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all which He has given Me I should lose nothing but should raise it up in the last day.

Scripture cannot contradict itself, but you and others can contradict scripture with false interpretations. The words are self explanatory, a 4th grader can understand them. I will not reiterate the obvious. You can continue to run in circles all you want. Point has been made, go right ahead try as you may to drown out truth with smoke screens, TRUTH will always prevail! Game Over!

I have no fear at all actually I know I am absolutely secure in my Saviour's arms can you state the same?

Well if you spent some time doing some research on the word "metanoia" you might learn something about what repent (metanoia) means from a linguistic historical perspective not the modern day redefinition.

People like you:eek:
You need to stop making it personal I wonder why you do that, are you feeling threatened?

Welcome to CC!!! In case you didn't know, there are CHRISTIANS here. Maybe a bit more love, and a bit less anger and venom would be a good prescription.

In fact, it should be a prerequisite to read 1 Corinthians 13 a couple of times before joining and firing away at people.

That is right, when a child you speak as a child, and that is what the false Hebrew interpretation does. And only children without proper learning do not know the meaning of the WORD.

Firing away at FALSE DOCTRINE and interpretation, because I am an adult. Obviously strong ADULT Christian language makes you scared or at least uncomfortable. That is the effect of the sword of the mouth! If not guided by the Holy Spirit- then lying doctrine is taught. All lies spawn from the father of lies whom I have NO mercy for. Obviously you heard of a toilet , not wrong to use as analogy in separating emotion from( bodily function) which is what is being taught here. There is NOTHING non Christian which I spoke . However , the OBVIOUS False doctrine being touted here which even St. Peter clearly points out is non Christian.

If you like a lack luster doctrine that is your choice . Some things are self explanatory. You obviously support and are not offended by the false narrative given concerning Hebrews, yet are offended by the use of the word toilet and/or you loose. If my saying you loose is wrong , then you tell me what is the opposite of WIN! Christ said to be HOT, I am in Him! I do not play into the flowery political correctness of government agendas nor false religious ones. Not everyone gets a trophy with Christ, participation does not mean win. And if your contribution is false then that needs to be called out. If in the face of obvious meaning of words, one still tries to reinvent the meaning of them then admonishment is to be given.

Denominational indoctrination does rule over the Word! Truth! God Bless!

First you repudiate over 100 scriptures which clearly demonstrate the security of the born again believer.
I will be waiting.

first see if you can deal with these....

  • Romans 11:6 And if by grace, then it is no longer by works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace. You are saved and kept by grace.
  • Romans 11:18 Consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you. You are rooted in Jesus and the root sustains you.
  • Romans 11:29 God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable. This is the gift of salvation. He’ll never take it back
  • Romans 8:38-9 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Truly nothing can separate me from the eternal grip of God’s love.
  • Romans 9:16 It does not, therefore, depend on man’s desire or effort, but on God’s mercy.
  • Romans 10:9-10 That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.

Feel free to do and say whatever. I am not stopping anyone.
You again falsely interpret scripture. Let's start with:
Romans 11:29 because it is the most important concerning your false application. Since we have determined the scriptures do not contradict one another, and what Hebrew says is obvious and what Peter says is obvious, it is obvious you are misinterpreting Romans, this based on the obvious- SCRIPTURE DOES NOT CONTRADICT ITSELF.

Full context of the smidgen quote you falsely applied:

All Israel Shall Be Saved Romans 11:

25I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, so that you will not be conceited: A hardening in part has come to Israel, until the full number of the Gentiles has come in. 26And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written:

“The Deliverer will come from Zion;

He will remove godlessness from Jacob.

27And this is My covenant with them

when I take away their sins.”

28Regarding the gospel, they are enemies on your account; but regarding election, they are loved on account of the patriarchs. 29For God’s gifts and His call are irrevocable.

THIS CONCERNS ISRAEL AS TO THEIR ELECTION. For a time they are made hardened until the full number of the gentile be completed.
NOT ALL GENTILES WILL BE SAVED, ALL ISRAEL RATHER! AGAIN THE SCRIPTURES DO NOT CONTRADICT ONE ANOTHER. You are contradicting scriptures with your false interpretation. Regarding ELECTION , THEY (ISRAEL) are loved on account of the patriarchs.

30Just as you who formerly disobeyed God have now received mercy through their disobedience, 31so they too have now disobeyed, in order that they too may now receive mercy through the mercy shown to you. 32For God has consigned all men to disobedience so that He may have mercy on them all.

Through Israel's disobedience the gentile received mercy. Full context is important.

Romans 11:6

6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.
The works spoken of here are not speaking about returning to the works of evil but a claiming of goods works are the way to salvation. Grace is by which we are saved. For only God is good. But once saved our works prove our faith, for our works are in Christ who is the seed within.

This has nothing to do with returning to sin once saved. Rather it speaks to the prior condition , when you- who did not know Christ became saved by receiving Him not by any work of ones own but by grace. We are discussing the OP question of Hebrews concerning that it is IMPOSSIBLE to be restored when you reject the Holy Spirit , having known those things of the kingdom to come and return to satan whom you have been redeemed from initially . That is what Judas did and is the lesson to us, that is what Hebrews verse of the OP really addresses and St Peter too speaks of.
