but does everyone get healing? can any one get such miracles ..... from my personal exp i m little confused on it , becos , i lost my mom though we prayed hard to get a healing , i saw many people telling that as well that every one can hv a healing from GOD . but it seems like the will of GOD ,in my mind :) wt do u think about it ??? ( but i m sure i ll meet my mom for sure in heaven )
First of all, sorry to hear about you losing your mom. :(

God obviously has the power to heal. But we can't always understand His Will or why certain things happen or don't happen in spite of our prayers.

I believe very strongly in the power of prayer and miracles. But I think the distractions of society have much weakened people's faith. Faith should be exercised and fed to grow strong. But many people pray most earnestly only after disaster has befallen them. And their faith may not be strong enough to carry them through the crisis.

God may call His children home much sooner than we would like. But if you want to be certain of His Power working in your life each and every day, exercise your faith in earnest. Don't focus on the grand miracle. Focus on the miracle of the life that is already been given to you.

My mother was just a couple of years older than I am now when she passed. She loved God dearly and didn't hesitate to share that fact with all whom she met. But she was struck down with an aneurysm out of the blue. I stayed by her side praying and praying until her heart finally gave out.

I still don't understand why she was taken and why she couldn't be saved. But she's with God now. And she's in my heart and mind. I never had a better prayer partner than her. And she is sorely missed. I now have a daughter named after my mother. She reminds me so much of my mom. And she and I now pray together.

I may never understand why my mother was taken. But I thank God for the time I had with her and what she taught me about God. And I thank God for sending me my daughter to ease my sadness and help me keep my focus on my faith.

My daughter is thirteen. And I've been talking to her about exercising and growing her faith. Society puts so much emphasis on being a great student, artist, athlete, etc. and that's fine. But I want her emphasis to be first and foremost on God. And all else will take care of itself.

Continue to exercise and grow your faith. Be thankful for the miracle of Life within you. May God Bless you and comfort you!

even i hv witnessed some miracles aswell, but i think there is a will of GOD above it, to heal or not,
here the confusion arises is that , if i had no miracles does that mean i dont hv faith ????
No, hopefully your faith/trust is in Jesus and his will. Many of the miracle seekers will break and run when the heat is on but those who have true faith will cling to Jesus even if He slays them.

I'm assuming you're referencing John Calvin as a miracle of Satan which is just outright wrong
You are assuming things out of the blue. It was a quote. You could have asked what I meant if it was unclear to you. Read carefully what people post, and try to grasp same, instead of attacking them would be my advice.

thnks for dashdow , its good to meet someone who haV gone through the same as i did :) l would agree as u said everythng there is a will and plann for GOD.

becos after those incidents i learnt a lot of things in my life , its sure if i hadnt gone through it, i wouldnt hv been strong as much as this wt i am now, even i had nothng to worry in my life before i lost my mom, wen i used to see some of my friends crying while they pray , i used to ask my mom, why they cry? or how people cry before GOD n soo on :) but i wen i passed through all these i learnt about wt is real life , and how GOD work wonderfully in our troubles :)

can miracles be the reason or basis for faith???
i just want to know ur opinions on it :)
i just heard recently many of churches give so much importance on miracles !! wts ur opinion ?? go a head with ur comments :) hope i ll get a good answer :)
no..

a few examples.

Isreal.. all the things they saw in egypt, and out in the wilderness.. yet no faith (but three people)

John 6 is a great example. they say a miracle (feeding 5000) and wanted more.. they left jesus because he said they did not have faith

finally. jesus himself I believe said a wicked an adulterous generation seeks a sign, but non will be given.

if someone is not going to come to him without a sign, they won't with one..
