hmm Isnt He going to spit them out of his mouth those who are lukewarm and not hot or cold?
So maybe its a case of you use it or lose it (Salvation)
I think Jesus was pretty clear when He was speaking to the Church of Laodicea.

This is no argument. You completely miss the whole point of the entire chapter.🤦‍♂️
How did I miss the point of the whole chapter? You’re assuming that I did based on what per say?

Don’t take offense, but why do a hit’ run post? If you believe I’m wrong, certainly give a reason for that. If not, why even bother posting in the first place?

You asked about the verse, I gave an in depth commentary on what's being said, you then singled out one phrase and stated the obvious. Of COURSE you believe that verse is saying something in regards to wether or not one can "give up" salvation since you are still under the false notion it is possible... followed by something, I from a contrary standpoint already pointed to... (the verse is pointing to the effects of Christs power in His own....compared to the lack of power in fakers nothing in this whole verse is about anyone who is saved no longer being saved....)

This is about goats and sheep, wheat and tares all who will be "in Him".
Though not all are born again as His children.

Many in the body of Christ (the church) are like judas and not actually genuine.... Which is actually why Jesus chose THAT moment to share THAT lesson....

It is not a "hit and run". I expected a more genuine response if you were going to ask the question. The sort of response you gave was so thoughtless I was not going to give more time until you actually responded.

I am not offended, please don't take offense that I am uninspired to continue while I am at work.

So are saying Paul received a different Gospel when he was in Arabia?
The gospel of the kingdom is different than the gospel of the grace of God, the gospel of Jesus Christ which Paul preached. The gospel of the kingdom is the good news to Israel of their promised kingdom. The gospel of grace is the good news of eternal salvation through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. This was not revealed unto after the resurrection and still the disciples didn't have a full understanding until the revelation was given to Paul.

It's an indication that the the believer's life makes the Lord sick. Salvation is not at stake.

You gave an in-depth explaination, but you incorporate other parables(eschatology) along with this particular one to make say something that it doesn’t. Just because a reponse is long doesn’t mean it’s correct.

Where is the evidence that Paul was given this differing revelation?

Wouldn’t you come to the conclusion from those verses that there is a possibility that a person can forfeit salvation? If one accepts salvation can’t one reject it as well?
1 John says they were never of us

mug this is true. How could they ever have been saved?

I would have to adhere that when Jesus states “In Him” he is alluring to the fact that one would have to remain in Him for the sake of salvation. Without Christ there is no Church.
Remain in him to bear fruit

Not be saved

Jesus and His disciples were preaching the gospel of the kingdom and yet, none of His disciples understood anything about the death, burial and resurrection. Can anyone today imagine preaching about Jesus Christ and eternal salvation and not knowing anything about the cross?

Luke 18
31 Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished.
32 For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on:
33 And they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again.
34 And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken.

The message of the kingdom was only for the house of Israel. It was not meant for the Samaritans or Gentiles.

Matthew 10
5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

This kingdom gospel was not the death, burial and resurrection for sins as Paul taught. Did Jesus send the disciples out to preach something they didn't understand or believe themselves?

You’re not answering my question. If you don’t want to, that’s fine

That's good evidence. The gospel that was taught by Jesus and His disciples was not the death, burial and resurrection for sins. This is the gospel that Paul specifically taught. And yet, the disciples had no clue about this message.

I agree that prior to His death and resurrection the disciples were very ignorant. After Pentecost of course they began to preach boldly. This of course is solidified in the few chapters of Acts. So to say they didn’t understand salvation until Paul came is not accurate.

Before the resurrection they were preaching the gospel of the kingdom. What was the message? Was it different than the d,b,r of Christ for our sins?

They were peaching that Jesus was The Chosen One. They were speaking of His earthly ministry and that the spiritual Kingdom of God that had come.

No, they did speak of His death and resurrection as that had not occurred yet.

So Paul preached a different gospel.
