So, the person who committed mass murder and then told a psychiatrist, "they heard voices telling them to kill," is nothing but 100% mental illness?

I see this as a person who first of all has no moral values, secondly is extremely vulnerable to hearing demonic voices and believing them as the right thing to do, and it is the actual act of killing that defines this person as mentally ill.

But still, to commit the act of mass murder which is clearly an act of insanity, this person did in fact hear from the pits of hell and entertained the voices until they believed in them.

The Adversary speaks to us all of time. From doing something bad to another, to thinking wrongly of another, to taking that evil thought and acting it out upon another person, it all stems from the pits of hell!!
Yes. Satan tells Christians and non Christians negative things

He doesn’t feed us positive things like God does.

Out of curiosity, are you speaking of that feeling like warm waves washing over and through you and at the same time there are goosebumps on your arms?
No goosebumps are involved in this experience. Total deep/pure peace.

I do not know because I have not ever heard an audible voice in my head unless I was thinking it.

Satan wants to destroy us, and cause us to stray any way he can, so if he could use an audible voice to deceive people, or to make them think they are crazy, and there is a lot of people not living for the Lord, it would seem like this would be a frequent occurrence happening, but you rarely hear of it, or not at all.

Unless Satan does not want to deceive like that anymore for it is the end time, and his dealing with mankind is different than in the past, where he is making them think all will be well and peaceful in the future, because he wants to appear as the New Age Christ to deceive all who do not love God.

Maybe Satan does not want to deceive to cause a person to be crazy like when Jesus was on earth, for that way people will not say demon possession, but think they do not exist, or they are not mean towards humans, all the while deceiving them a different way.

The Bible says by peace he shall destroy many, and it appears he is working as an angel of light more today than in the past, and the new age movement looks at Lucifer as a solar angel that actually brought the principle of mind to mankind, and will help them to evolve in the future.

So it could be that Satan wants the world to view the devils in a different light, one that they want to help mankind not antagonistic, causing them to not view them as devils, evil, but good spiritual beings.

As far as Satan giving a false peace that does not feel right, artificial, does not drugs, and alcohol, also feel artificial, and foreign, which they do although a person might feel good, but they can tell it feels foreign, and artificial.

God gives peace that passes all understanding, and His peace feels comfortable, and not strange, so I do not know if Satan can give us a false peace, but if he did it would feel artificial, and foreign.

I know Satan cannot read our thoughts for he does not have the capability to do that, the same as humans cannot read the air waves of television, radio, phone, internet, etc., although the information is there.

I'm curious. I'm trying to figure something out. I have been praying and asking God about something and so far, no answer.

But, God has spoken to me audibly. Can Satan speak to me audibly to in the same voice God uses?

I also have a story/question about a false sense of peace.

Back, about 13-14 years ago, I was in school and was talking to this one guy. He was talking to me and saying something to me about the bible. (he was a christian). I started to feel peace, but it didn't seem right and i couldn't fully agree w/ what this guy was saying to me. When I went back to my dorm room, I prayed about what the guy told me and the "peace" I was feeling. I told God that I didn't agree w/ the guy and I was questioning if that peace was from God because it didn't feel right. While I was praying, I felt the 1 peace leave --- i don't know how to describe how it felt, but, it felt not normal --- not like the peace I was used to, so, the one peace left and what replaced it was the most magnificent peace ever. It felt like the holy spirit was coursing through my body and it was a huge turnaround for me. That peace stayed w/ me for a few hours.

I had read up on this at that time where it said that Satan can mimic God but he can't give off exactly what God can give off. That Satan can give peace, but a false sense of peace and we should be able to distinguish btwn them. I've been receiving peace from God ever since 2004 (3 yrs after I got saved) and I know exactly what God's peace feels like. I feel like I've only experienced Satan's false sense of peace 1 time and that was in school.

I've been through a lot over the last 6 months. I feel like I have heard from God a lot, but, I feel like things have only contradicted w/ what people have said and that has confused me. They said God will only tell you encouraging things and Satan will tell you negative things and things to confuse/deceive you and your situation. I personally, don't feel like Satan has told me anything negative. I feel like I've only been told positive things but now am really trying to decipher what I was told.

Can the peace Satan gives you mimic God's peace more? Or is there such a difference, like the way, I experienced that someone would be able to tell what was from God and what was from Satan.
I think Satan can mimic God to a degree. However you know if it's God verses Satan too. Just like how you were feeling unsure about what your friend said. A lot of times that's God telling you it's not right.

So pray about it and pay attention to your dreams. That's how God corrects me a lot and does so for all of us.

I've never had the peace feeling that wasn't from God though. Idk I always know deep down something is off when I listen to the lies. In dreams you really know bc of the energy.

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.

After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, “Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.”

. And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.

that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,

So do you test the spirit before you listen to what a person has to say? Luke 24:39

every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God.
So is the gift of tongues given to the spirit within man which gives him the ability to communicate using the spoken word ? No? So if the word comes from the flesh then if the doctrine of Christ tells us that which is born of flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit; then then if Jesus said "my doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me" would Jesus ever tell his disciples not to tell any man he was the Christ? See Matt 16:20

Yes, I have heard people describe either a sense of great calm and peace or, alternatively, a sense of a lack of peace. They describe knowing whether to listen or go a certain way based on this peace of a lack of this peace.

I have always experienced it somewhat differently, as a flood of...waves washing over and through me. For my own self, I got a bit sideways in it and had to sort of stop trying to figure out what He might be saying by it. At one point, every time I heard someone say things like: Obama will not step down or We now have a dictator, I would be covered with those waves\beams of love, and so I became convinced i was being told of the future. I had to just...stop trying to figure out what,He might be saying because I was wrong.

Soon after, He removed that sense of His presence and made me walk without it, by pure faith. It wasn't pleasant to my flesh to walk that way and I wanted those caresses back. But when I saw that He grew my trust by the excersize of removing it, I understood and accepted it. He still reassured me sometimes in that way but not as often as when I first met Him.

You are dealing with scripture that are before and after Christ has risen. The gift of tongues has nothing to do with the O.P.
I posted these scriptures to show that they would suggest even verbal communication.
You have to ask yourself why you would challenge scripture. If you are not in favor to verbal communication then you are not.
Remember when Jesus asked Peter who do you say that I am? Peters response was what? And where did it come from according to Jesus? Not doing your homework for ya;)

The only way satan can talk to a person is if God allows satan to...

Like the story of Job it may be that God is using you to resist satan.. Well we can hope that is the case..

You are dealing with scripture that are before and after Christ has risen. The gift of tongues has nothing to do with the O.P.
Since the ability to speak is a gift that was given to man by the Spirit[Holy Ghost], then if you don't know or reject the gospel by claiming that man has the natural ability to speak by virtue of his physical body then you obviously don't know that unless a human being as a child isn't spoken to and actively engaged in speaking with another person then that child will never develop the ability to communicate using the spoken word.

Remember Adam hearing the voice of the LORD walking in the garden?

Which is to say that if you had a child and I offered you 100 million dollar so that for the first four years of that child's life you could have any interaction you wanted except you couldn't speak to that child or allow anyone else to engage in any type of verbal communication, which would also be that which man would have been in if they evolved from non-speaking primates.

So if man's ability to speak is natural, then there is no reason that once those four years were over that your child could immediately begin to start teaching her to speak and with a 100 million dollars have some of the best teachers in the world doing the teaching. And if that child was taught how to speak then what I am saying would be absolutely false, without question. However, I have the feeling that you really don't see that how it would be relevant because your belief that throught Christ all things are possible.

Well, i did homework for you and thankfully that type of research project is prohibited since it is known that the child would never be able to develop any form of communciation skills much less communicate using the spoken word. How is it known? From events in the past where children were either subjected to such isolation abuse from the parent(s) and cases where children were lost at a young age and able to survive without human contact. They are called ferrell children.

You have to ask yourself why you would challenge scripture.
What? you trying to faith shame me?

Kinda ironic that you didn't suggest I ask Jesus why, but then again people don't ask others to do something that they don't normally do or at least have a person knowledge about. Would you care to guess why I am suggesting that maybe you need to ask Jesus why you believe it would be better for me to ask myself that question than him, since it is not your that speaks but the Holy Ghost. P.S. while you asking him tell him thanks for me, I needed that one.

Let's just say i am the only thing I am challenging is your prophesy of scripture.

Remember when Jesus asked Peter who do you say that I am? Peters response was what? And where did it come from according to Jesus? Not doing your homework for ya;)
Yes an I remember Jesus called Peter Satan so it must have came from Jesus since he and his Father are one.
I also remember reading that Peter denied he knew Christ so does that make him an anti-christ?
I also remember Jesus said if any man tells you here is Christ or lo there is Christ believe them not.
And I also remember that devils always knew he was the Christ and they are going to burn in hell.

I also remember Jesus saying all men are created equal plus other things.

Remember that Jesus was raised according to Paul's gospel. And Paul himself wrote that if the glory of God abounded more throught his lie then why should you judge him a sinner. I also recall that Paul made the comment "Christ being dead in vain" yes Gal 2:21
"for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain." So what law was he referring unto, the law of truth?

So you honestly don't think you are taking are a man and twisting him into your imaginary God. If the God of truth can't prove himself then why should I believe he can prove me.[/QUOTE]

He love such people only is you are not intentionally sinning.
If a person breaks any part of GOD's perfect
standard of righteousness(the law) they have offended the whole law and with that said,Is gluttony willfully sinning.

A person can't get fat unless they have overeaten continuously.

A person won't get fat If they were to gorge themselves at one sitting but If they overeat everytime they sit down, after a period of time they might be 50-100 lbs overweight. Is that willful sin.

You may not realize It but you may be talking about big sins compared to small sins

If they are not hungry and over eating just to be eating. There is probably a demon behind it. If they can keep from over eating and fight the urge, they can probably get rid of that demon.

I believe both God and Satan can speak audibly. In the Bible God speak to Paul audibly. Satan speak audibly to Adam and Eve.
Satan spoke audibally to Jesus when he was tempted in the desert..
