Why would this be asked? For one, I would hope I would not be captured by ISIS or anyone close to me. If you submit to Islam through force then you stand against all of what you stand against the 'radicals' on. Even if you do accept, they would still make you do and go through horrendous things. Especially because of being a woman, it's a no win, but I'd take the death to not have it last as long.

Ugh, I'm not thinking straight, which is why I'm making so many mistakes in my post. x_x;

if ISIS captures you and will spare your life if you accepted Islam would you do it?
Many have tried this route and ISIS still murdered them after confessing Islam.

As far as loved ones go, it's probably best to agree before hand that no compromises will be made from you or from them if caught.
Sometimes the best laid plans..........

I have been spoiled and blessed. I have never been in a situation that may lead to pulling my fingernails out one by one, castrated slowly, having my limbs pulled out of their sockets, deprived of sleep for days, deprived of water for days, being threatened that my family will go through the same torture.

Like I said, I would love to say I wouldn't. God bless you if you KNOW.

Me to ISIS: "I love you just as my Lord and Savior loved me that day he died on the cross for my sins. I was made in His image and just as he died for me, I would die for you. I forgive you and ask my father to have mercy on you. I leave this world loving my savior "Yeshua". <Looks to the heavens? "Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do... they were taught and trained to be this way. Forgive me for not teaching them Your Word, for not showing them your love. " Amen.
I would then go to be with my Lord in heaven.

'Though the mountains depart and the hills be removed, but My kindness will not depart from you. Neither the covenant of My PEACE be removed, says the Lord that has mercy on you. Isaiah 54:10
Brothers and sisters, fill up on His word! In ourselves we are toast. By His indwelling power we are more than able! More than conquerors.
He is our high tower of strength, our buckler and shield, our bulwark, our hiding place, He covers us with His wings, a Friend that sticks closer than a brother, a very present Help in trouble, able to succour them in need, to walk us through the fire and not be burned, to gather us up as His precious stones, King of kings and Lord of lords! Praise Him!!!

Honestly, I used to be a little afraid of the thought of that serrated knife eating its way through the side of your neck. But then I realised it's what they want, it'd only last a matter of seconds and God wouldn't put me in a situation I couldn't handle (I don't think lol ) But no, I like to think I wouldn't deny Christ..but then so did Peter, but I'm not Peter.

I'm your Huckleberry, and that's just my game.
I can give a definite yes on this situation. If I knew they were coming and I had weapons and it was a fight to the bullet death. I am game. but if I survived and was tortured with the threat of my family and put under torture that only evil can conceive........all I can say is I sure hope I could stand for Christ all the way through.

Rand Paul? ugh, no wonder.
How does Rand answer the question amongst nations, "Am I my brother's keeper?"

Well considering that most Muslims believe in the immaculate conception of Jesus through Mary (in fact Mary is mentioned by name more in the Quran than in the New Testament) I'd try to find a way to talk around the question without saying yes or no. Just be really vague about Jesus being a good guy.

Here is a jewel, by Martin Niemoller who experienced 8years of a concentration camp (Dachau) by the Nazis...

  • We have no more thought of using our own powers to escape the arm of authorities than had the Apostles of old. No more are we ready to keep silent at man's behest when God commands us to speak. For it is, and must remain, the case that we must obey God rather than man.
    • Last sermon before being imprisoned by the Nazi regime of Germany (27 June 1937), as quoted in Religion in the Reich (1939) by Michael Power, p. 142
  • Niemoller.jpg

He is also the one who wrote...

First they came for the Jews
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for the Communists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for me
and there was no one left
to speak out for me.

You would, Brother. I already know that. Remember, the sufferings of this age are not to be compared to the glory that will be revealed.
