I have seen several threads where someone states their denomination/non-denomination and the result reminds me of the verse that says, "Where the carcass is, there the vultures will be also." Be honest, but gentle in your response to other believers.

I don't know what you are infering. We who don't agree, are Vultures? Where there is a stink, Vultures appear?

But, the last part I totaly understand? We should be good to all men/women. As I am sure you know its hard to feel the Love here? Somedays it may just be the mood the reader is in?

You know it just hit me. That word Vultures hits a Neg. tone, don't you think? They are so UGLY and NASTY. Carcuss also has a bad sound. Are both bad? Just thinking!

Yes, that is the point. People seem to attack when they see another, let's say, group on a thread. They pounce on them and start tearing them up. I was not trying to be negative. I was trying to get people to be a little more loving in their approach. Maybe you disagree with someone, but we should be careful not to offend. You are more likely to make a positive impact if you keep a civil tone.

How about the context that the verse was given within.....and what does someone stating their religious affiliation have to do with a verse that is applicable unto the body presence of the Lord and his coming being evident?.....Just saying and asking that is!

I didn't say that it did.

We are the body of Christ though, aren't we? (Still not saying it directly connects to that verse, I'm just saying be careful not to attack a different part of Christ's body. A body is, after all, made up of different parts. I Cor. 12:14-20 [SUP] [/SUP]For the body is not one member, but many. [SUP] [/SUP]If the foot says, “Because I am not a hand, I am not a part of the body,” it is not for this reason any the less a part of the body. And if the ear says, “Because I am not an eye, I am not a part of the body,” it is not for this reason any the less a part of the body. [SUP] [/SUP]If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole were hearing, where would the sense of smell be?[SUP] [/SUP]But now God has placed the members, each one of them, in the body, just as He desired.[SUP] [/SUP]If they were all one member, where would the body be? [SUP] [/SUP]But now there are many members, but one body.

[SUP]13 [/SUP]And these are they which ye shall have in abomination among the fowls; they shall not be eaten, they are an abomination: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,
[SUP]14 [/SUP]And the vulture, and the kite after his kind;
[SUP]15 [/SUP]Every raven after his kind;
[SUP]16 [/SUP]And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind,
[SUP]17 [/SUP]And the little owl, and the cormorant, and the great owl,
[SUP]18 [/SUP]And the swan, and the pelican, and the gier eagle,
[SUP]19 [/SUP]And the stork, the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]All fowls that creep, going upon all four, shall be an abomination unto you.
[SUP]21 [/SUP]Yet these may ye eat of every flying creeping thing that goeth upon all four, which have legs above their feet, to leap withal upon the earth;
[SUP]22 [/SUP]Even these of them ye may eat; the locust after his kind, and the bald locust after his kind, and the beetle after his kind, and the grasshopper after his kind.
[SUP]23 [/SUP]But all other flying creeping things, which have four feet, shall be an abomination unto you.
[SUP]24 [/SUP]And for these ye shall be unclean: whosoever toucheth the carcase of them shall be unclean until the even.
[SUP]25 [/SUP]And whosoever beareth ought of the carcase of them shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even.
