You take one verse and rip it from its context make it your proof text and then distain any effort to show from scripture why you are wrong. Scripture cannot contradict itself. Ephesians 2:19-20 Jesus Christ the chief cornerstone of the church, the household of God. 1 Corinthians 3:11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid which is Jesus Christ.

You cling to untruth to your own hurt.

Find any ECF's that actually gave a testimony of knowing Christ and having eternal life?

well said :)

One verse alone does not necessarily make a point. Often times, we must understand the Full Counsel of God for any one subject of faith.

Most people don't know it but there was a church in Great Britain that actually predates the church in Rome.

There were British royalty taken captive to Rome that were Christians and Paul mentions them in the New Testament by name.

Brit means covenant in Hebrew.

We covered Peter and Paul in Rome
you Roman Catholics are all talk and boast and no facts. You covered nothing of the kind. You simply made bold statements without any evidence. For you HAVE no evidence

Temper, temper....Catholics love Jesus, too and have plenty of martyrs and works to prove it.

What about Mother Theresa?

Lots of people with bad doctrine and leadership somehow manage to love and follow Jesus in spite of the leaders who get in their way.

You ought to google The U.S. in Biblical Prophecy on Steven M. Collins prophecy site.

It has quite a lot to say about The United Kingdom, too.

No one I am aware of is angry or in a temper. We are soberly contending for the truth. I am not aware that Roman Catholics have been persecuted for loving Christ. They were persecuted for their false teachings. No doubt there are a small minority of Roman Catholics who love Jesus, but if they do they have to reject much of their church's teaching.

As I have never talked with Mother Theresa I will make no comment. But being a humanitarian does not make someone a Christian.

Christ said if you want to be perfect then put on charity.

Mother Theresa was the personification of charity, Sir.

I agree the doctrine makes the man. The man doesn't make the doctrine yet if you love and follow Jesus Christ closely enough don't you think he can make an exception?

He is omniscient and his eyes can pierce right to the heart of a man and read his motives can't he?

The bible says that God has concluded them all in unbelief that He might have mercy upon all. Romans 11:32

They believe not because they reject Gods mercy. John 3:18-21

All men deserve condemnation only by mercy and grace an any be saved. No man merits mercy nor has a greater need than the next man. In a word no exceptions.

Remember Sir Thomas More?

He was a Catholic and a very fine Christian. Carnal Henry VIII had his head cutoff because he stood his ground for God based on his faith.

See his famous last words before being beheaded and he didn't flinch or cry out about doing his duty before his death just like Christ on the Cross.

Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church of Picayune, MS - Devotion - Patron Saints - St. Thomas More
I will agree he was a Roman Catholic. I will not agree he was a Christian. He spent most of his political life bending both ways in order to keep in with Henry VIII who was also not a Christian During this period he arranged for the martyrdom of a number of Christians. But in the end his doublemindedness caught up with him. What has he to say about anything?.

like little children to whom JESUS is revealed, not by mind, nor by power, but by the spirit sayeth the Lord JESUS.

Yes we are. I am a member of His body, united with Him in His death and resurrection. Are you?
if matt is, he is like other posters have posted about "laywers", he is still deep in 'layers' of deception and spoouting deception every post, in everything he says - i.e. he still believes the heresy/lies and is not free from it yet. by tomorrow, by today?! , could he be? not likely, he doesn't want to be free, he doesn't indicate in any way that he's searching for GOD or for JESUS or for TRUTH in GOD'S WORD and by every test of GOD'S WORD and GOD'S SPIRIT bearing witness...... he is in the depths of deception. like the following ones >>

Catholics love Jesus, too and have plenty of martyrs and works to prove it.

she robbed countries and corporations and individuals of faith, of billions of dollars, and of truth. she was never, not ever, saved, and she admitted it many times to people she worked with before she died.

LOL I presume you are a Roman Catholic. You clearly don't know the Scriptures. Paul was not Jesus Christ.

So was Mahatma Ghandi. Was he a Christian too?

I am not sure what you mean by those cites, notuptome.

But you win people to Christ through a loving spirit not a message of condemnation.

This is the Doctrine of Reconciliation that we are delivering. See 1 Cor. 5

Christ is the reconciliation of ALL men....not just men who believe a certain way.

We have to learn how to make a way for people to get to Christ instead of beating them over the head with doctrinal points.

We were designed by God to be vessels of mercy not vessels of doctrine.

the origin, the start, the beginning, the continuing of the rcc is OPPOSED TO SCRIPTURE ALWAYS.

this thread is about roman catholic heresy. the rcc is heresy.

the rcc doctrines are opposed to JESUS and to JESUS followers.

the rcc has always murdered the true believers, the JEWS, and anyone they wanted to where they had power to .

the rcc has NEVER , NEVER, NEVER saved anyone, but markets men's souls and destroys their souls and their lives .

More is just an example of someone faithful to God to the death. They list him among the martyrs in the book Jesus Freaks.

People aren't perfect you know...sometimes the world likes to put perfection on our backs like a great burden...but we are supposed to be casting our burdens on Christ....He knows we can't carry it all all the time.
