There you go again showing your ignorance and the ignorance of the writer of the article. Interesting how you never cite Catholic sites, just the same old tired propaganda. Do you even have an original thought?

Since all Jeff wants to do is insult our intelligence, would someone else please answer a question for me. If the dead are dead and that's it, they can't see, hear, or speak as I have been told numerous times, could someone please explain Samuel and the witch of Endor, and Jesus conversing with Moses and Elijah. and all the corpses walking around at the resurrection . I have been emphatically told the dead can't do this, yet there it is in the bible, dead doing what the people in this thread say they can't do. I'm not trying to be a smart****! This seems to contradict what I have been told here in this thread

Jesus able to talk to any body include the devil, because He is God.

regular human prohibit to consult to the dead.

Did dead Samuel willing to talk to the living, mean violate this verse bellow? I don't think so. I believe it is not real Samuel but demon pretend to be Samuel.

But I am not surprised! Even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.

Isaiah 8:19
When someone tells you to consult mediums and spiritists, who whisper and mutter, should not a people inquire of their God? Why consult the dead on behalf of the living?

No. Simeon did tell her, when Jesus was dedicated at the temple, that her heart would be pierced and she would hear the prayers of many. Luke 2:35

Yes I know Jesus can talk to the dead! That contradicts what I have been told here..I was told the dead can't do anything,no exceptions. Is this a case of, " listen to me, not the bible"?

33The child’s father and mother marveled at what was said about him. 34Then Simeon blessed them and said to Mary, his mother: “This child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be spoken against, 35so that the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed. And a sword will pierce your own soul too.”

What part of these verse say Mary will able to hear and remember millions of catholic prayer?

Ok, then you explain how many hearts will be revealed to her. If not by prayer, then how?

Also, in your bible, verse 35 is backwards

If you are talking about the first 11 chapters of Genesis, you are talking about interpretation. YECs and OECs can both provide "evidence" for their positions.

If you are talking about credible scientific information from reputable scientific sources, YECs have none.

There is no credible scientific information from reputable scientific sources that the earth is around 6,000 years old, that dinosaurs coexisted with humans, or that there was a global flood around 4,500 years ago.

My point is that a whole lot of those bashing Catholics on this thread are YECs.

You got YECs with all their nonsense bashing Catholics for what the YECs think is nonsense.

Hypocrites.
I would give you a quarter if I could so you could go and buy a clue.

If the dead are dead and can't see, speak or hear, then please explain how Jesus was witnessed speaking with Moses and Elijah? Moses we know died and Elijah was "assumed " into heaven. How was Jesus able to speak with these saints ?
The dead can't hear you praying to them. You ignore Jesus by trying to do so. That's something that hurts the heart of God. You won't get any answers except the ones that Satan can give when he intercepts your false prayer. He loves to manipulate weak and gullible people who are ignorant of God's word and impervious to correction.

Jesus could speak with them because they were with Him. There's nothing hard to understand about it.

Amplified Bible........Luke 2:35
And a sword will pierce through your own soul also-that the secret thoughts and purposes of many hearts may be brought out and disclosed

Sounds like prayer to me! And I didn't use a Catholic Bible!

In fact, Elijah never died. However for Moses, this is really puzzling! Must be missing something!

Many, including me, believe that Moses was resurrected bodily into heaven, possibly so he would have a role in the Transfiguration of Jesus, and represent Israel and the Old covenant as one of the two witnesses of the Tribulation era. His grave and body was never traceable. There was a dispute concerning his body between the archangel Michael and Satan himself, and while no one is sure why, it could be that Satan wanted to come against any plan that God had for this illustrious leader, loved by God.

Thank You. This seems to say the dead can see and here us. The statement made to me over and over is that the dead are dead and they stay that way. This incident at the Transfiguration, suggests otherwise
Of course dead spirits can see, but they cannot see you when you presume to bypass your only intercessor, Jesus Christ, in favour of them.

NONSENSE!

Here is the proper context of that passage!

Luke 11:33-35
[SUP]33-35 [/SUP]The child’s father and mother were still amazed at what was said about him, when Simeon gave them his blessing. He said to Mary, the child’s mother, “This child is destined to make many fall and many rise in Israel and to set up a standard which many will attack—for he will expose the secret thoughts of many hearts. And for you ... your very soul will be pierced by a sword.”

It has NOTHING to do with prayer and all to do with Jesus Christ.
