God is not going to send you to hell for eating candy. God only holds you accountable
for what you know. As a kid I didn't know Halloween was evil. All I was thinking about
was eating candy.Once I started studying the origin of Halloween and how evil it was
God opened up my eyes. As a born again Christian I want nothing to do with
Halloween. I hate Satan. Christians must make up their mind. Who you gonna
worship God or Satan? Christians need to expose Satan and teach people the
truth from God's Word.
1. Ephesians5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfriutful works of darkness,
but rather expose them.
2.1Thess5:21-22 Test all things; hold fast what is good.
Abstain from every form of evil.
Don't let the devil lie to you. God is still in control.
To God be the glory. Preacha24-7

Fantastic. That's been the crux of the matter all along. When you know better you strive to do better. "That's too extreme" "It's just dressing up" are unfortunate lines of thought as they only serve the interests of justifying the flesh and not really committing to a walk with Jesus. As such it's important to provide them with enlightenment and prayers on the matter.

Actually, that's not the crux of the matter at all. Jesus Christ the Living Word is our final authority and the Word tells us that to the pure in heart, all things are pure. And to him who sees something unclean, it is unclean. And vice versa.

Either way, none of us is to be critical of the other and condemn them for what they believe. In Romans 14 it reads, "You, then, why do you judge your brother or sister? Or why do you treat them with contempt?" Whether you celebrate Halloween or not, does not make you any more a holy person.

The only thing that's important is loving God and treating others the way you want to be treated.

I just cant have a clear conscience with it. I dont wanna stand before God some day and him asking me bout goin to Church on a Pagan day and taking the last supper unrighteous like many do. People have called me ''catholic'' and all sorts for fasting before that and ''Pharisee'' and ''religious'' for not celebrating like others on Christmas etc..

Excellent line of thought! People will call you all kinds of names for your convictions but you just need to remember it has nothing to do with you and everything to do with them. You've put so much thought and self examination into this as have others in this thread and come to the right conclusion, that of which I applaud you. I pray it continues to reach many in a positive and educative light on their journey with Christ. God speed!

I think any public celebration or social occasion is a good opportunity to celebrate God! I saw this amazing sign in holloween colors on my Facebook page in the lawn with the subtitle- it's Halloween but grandma don't play! :

the only
ghost that
lives in
this house
is the
Holy Ghost!

If if you hand out candy and say Jesus bless you and be safe tonight, you will be taking your 5 second window of interaction to share love and God with kids and their family!
i personally wouldn't endorse dressing as ghouls goblins or even super heroes haha :) ... But taking that opportunity to go trick or treating with you kids in a costume which would glorify Jesus would be pretty awesome! A day when it's socially acceptable to knock on doors , and a 5 second window to say thank you for the candy! Jesus bless you so much!
Rather than go through my neighborhood condemning folks for celebrating halloween and shaming people, I bought cute kittycat and owl candy bags, animal crackers, juice boxes and coloring books & crayons for the children and am baking bread for their mommies & daddies. I plan to go to their doors and just take the opportunity to be a nice neighbor and get to know them. That's what Jesus did. He was a friend to people. Right?

Yeah I'm forty and my life truly is better and more fulfilling than when I was twenty now that I have learned to walk with Christ correctly. To me thinking of things above means like playing soccer on a video game instead of violent video games. It means watching this old house episodes instead of r rated movies. It may be a struggle to renew our minds that way since the kingdom of God is like treasure hidden in a field, but it is well worth it. We were saved by the precious blood of Christ and I'd I have to watch how to videos and do it yourself videos for entertainment in my down time than so be it. Nothing compares to entering into God's rest

That's so true. When you identify yourself as a christian, you throw away anything that doesn't glorify the lord and do your best in letting Him shine through your every thought, deed and practice.

THIS is why women shouldn't be pastors....

(ducking and running away in a zig-zag pattern)
(Gets Shotgun) who cant be a pastor? hehe ((hugs))

In my church the youth are encouraged to take an active part. The teens have their own
youth services and worship team, but every so often they take the entire main
Sunday service. They also occasionally do the prayer ministry at the front of church after
services. Imagine that 13-18 year old praying for other people! :)

1 Timothy 4:12 NKJV
[12] Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct,
in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
Well she hates me so much she wont even let me brew coffee.. I remember I was helping a few in the kitchen and she came in and went in a nasty tone '' What are YOU doing here?"'
so yea. Ive asked her to place me into worship and she wont (tho I proved to her I was for a while in other churches doing that) but yea. Her problem not mine

when it comes to the things of the World we are not to be partakers of the world's ways. We are in the world but not part of it. look at romans 12:1-2

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

now when it comes to halloween I wouldn't celebrate it cause I'm not part of the world's ways and I know what halloween is about. Besides I don't think it would be good to celebrate halloween cause it wouldn't be edifying to a believer of Jesus Christ.

Philipians 4:8

Php 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

now scripture says this about judging...

1 Peter 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

1 Corinthians 5:12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?
1 Corinthians 5:13 But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked
person.

Gal 6:1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
Gal 6:2 Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
Gal 6:3 For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.
Gal 6:4 But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.
Gal 6:5 For every man shall bear his own burden.
Gal 6:6 Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.
Gal 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
Gal 6:8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
Gal 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Gal 6:10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

see the Apostle Paul did Righteous Judgement and in the book john.

John 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

Haven't read any of the comments here, but this subject is always discussed come this time of year.

Again, I do not personally celebrate Halloween, and have not for many, many years. That's my choice, my conviction.

Folks can celebrate or not celebrate.......that's betwixt them and God I suppose.

Now, can we discuss the more important issues such as "Is Thanksgiving" a pagan Holiday? Or, is celebrating Christmas a sin? Or, what about New Year's Eve? And, last but not least, let's move right on to that horrifically pagan day called Valentine's. Far more important than Halloween...........right? Right?

ALL (pagan) celebrations not found in the Bible are to be avoided, because 'man's best intentions' are not to be trusted - contaminating what is holy with evil and manmade ideas. We are just tooooo gullible !!!

All holidays have pagan roots. So we should avoid all holidays, getting married, skip our birthdays, not wear wedding rings, and not rejoice when it's Friday.. After all, the names of the days of the week are pagan too.
