Jesus overcame sin and temptation because He was God Almight in the flesh! Jesus is not like one of the many of supposedly great men thru out history who inspires us. Jesus was not just some great guy alone to lead us just as a man alone. Jesus Christ died on the cross to pay the penalty for my sin and THRU Him I have the capability to live and love. It's not about following Jesus as a man alone. It is about allowing Jesus to live within you. If Jesus as a man alone, it does nothing for me. Jesus is God and gives me life and lives in me and does the good works within me. Jesus is not just one of many great men who inspire. Jesus is God Almighty in the flesh who is my Savior and by His Spirit He is able to save me and make me stand in Him. I don't think there and marvel at all of Jesus works as a man and think I can be just like HIm. No. I can never be exactly like Jesus because He was God who was worshiped. Yes, I am to conform to the image of Christ and His behavior. But I am not to be God. Jesus is God. My inspiration is not in looking at Him as a man. My inspiriation is in looking at Him as God and what He had done for me and continues to do thru me (In Him being God still).
You still fail to understand Jason...

1. Jesus disrobed himself of the GLORY he had with the Father before the world began
2. He took upon himself the form of a SERVANT
3. He came in the LIKENESS of SINFUL FLESH
a. God sending his own son in the LIKENESS OF SINFUL FLESH Romans 8:3
b. But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant , and was made in the likeness of men: and being found in the FASHION OF MEN, he humbled himself

LIKNESS=homoloma-->made like to, similar, likeness
FASHION=schema-->a figure as a mode or circumstance, fashion

Jesus also said....WHY CALLEST THOU ME GOOD!

You still reject the truth in favor of conjecture, supposition and opinion and will never understand until you are willing to humble yourself and admit your error......!

You also fail to understand why Jesus would have to be tried just as we are tried, tempted just as we are tempted and according to you flawed stance, your Jesus cannot possible UNDERSTAND what HUMANITY goes thru!

Open your eyes Jason and pus aside all of the man mad doctrine that you follow and start believing the truth!

If you will read thru the thread, I provided Scripture that DC ignored. I explained the 2 passages in Hebrews to Him in light of other Scripture, but He kept repeating the same two verses. Hebrews is taking about external temptation and how Jesus was in our place as a man being tempted externally (Knowing what it is like to be tempted by others while in the flesh). God for the first time was in human flesh (and was grieved by men's temptations towards Him). This is how he is able to comfort the brethren because He was in their place as a man being tempted externally. 1 John 2:16 says that the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life is of this world and is not of the Father. Jesus was one with the Father. So it is safe to assume that Jesus did not have the lust of the flesh, too (Because Jesus is one with the Father). For Jesus rebuked his disciples for desiring to see the Father. See, the fulness of the Godhead dwelled within him bodily. Jesus said, I came down from Heaven. Jesus did not say, I joined with a new soul and human spirit. Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. DC also did not explain what temptation was in relation to wrong desire and Jesus, either. In other words, how can you be tempted by something without wrong desire? In other words, to suggest Jesus could be tempted suggest that there was some kind of darkness or sin within him. But there was not. Jesus was without sin. Jesus was impeccable and perfect in everything He did beccause He was God Almighty in the flesh. Jesus was not just another great guy to inspire us. Jesus lives within us. Jesus is God Almighty in the flesh whereby He suppressed His divine attribute of Omniscience so as to be like a man. We are to confess that Jesus comes into the flesh (1 John 4:3). Anyone who does not do so is antichrist. Yet, folks are saying here that Jesus Christ did not come into the flesh. They are saying Jesus Christ came after He was born.
He didn't lust out of obedience, He knew His purpose, but tempted He was... Every thought, every action, was in complete obedience to God. No, Jesus sits at the right hand of God, He was before, He is after. He still came down to earth and had "carnal" flesh.

He was The Man, and He is part of God as the Holy Spirit is part, He was different but He was the same as man. He was born of a women of flesh, His Father was One in heaven. He was God and man....
Yes, Jesus still has a physical body up iin Heaven right now! But Jesus never said He became a new being by taking on flesh (Which is what you have to believe when one says he took on a human soul and or human spirit). Scripture says the Messiah is from everlasting. Jesus said He came down from Heaven. In fact, one of the tests to see if a person is of the spirit of antichrist is if they do not confess that Jesus Christ comes into the flesh. Yet folks are saying here that Jesus Christ was the result of the flesh. See 1 John 4:3.

You are twisting the passage that I already used to prove my point to you before that Jesus was made in the LIKENESS of sinful flesh. See, Jesus was without sin. If there was any darkness or bad things in Jesus to tempt Jesus, then there would be sin within him. Jesus was without sin. He was Holy and perfect. Jesus was made in the LIKENESS of sinful flesh. But He did not have sinful flesh. Yet, that is what you are saying. You don't believe he was made in the LIKENESS of sinful flesh. You believe Jesus was made EXACTLY (not likeness) of sinful flesh.

Nobodies saying He's not the alpha and omega Jason, folks are saying when He came to earth and inhabited a flesh body, He took on the same test and trials of man. He starved, He fasted, He was tempted, He was of poverty, He cared, He loved, He got angry, He cried, it was a piece of Gods mind in the flesh, He didn't have to do this, He did it for us. He's never sinned from the beginning of existence. He took on the flesh for us, of course He knew He could past the test, He knows all.

I didn't twist anything as I gave the scriptures and the definitions of the words used and like I said yesterday...you don't worship the Jesus of the bible as the one I worship thru was enticed in ALL points as we are enticed....so...keep on believing heresy and promoting your heresy and see when you stand before Jesus! Never learning and following the doctrines of men...fits you well dude as you reject simple truths in context by refusing to humble yourself and admit error....!

You can forget it as one thing I have learned about him is he believes the word of God is of private interpretation and you can quote scripture after scripture in context with a complete understanding of words and he will still deny, argue, reject and go to the grave believing his own view....albeit a wrong view.

When Adam bit of the Tree, THEN both Adam and Eve's eyes were opened in their sins. See, sin is passed down by the male seed. It's why Jesus had to be born of the seed of a woman alone. Jesus was the Last Adam. He had the flesh of Adam from Mary, but the curse of sin was not passed down to Him by the male seed. For by one man (Adam) all had died; And by one man (Jesus Christ), all she be made alive. Jesus is our second Adam that we associate with when we repent of our sins and accept Him as our Savior. If Jesus had carnal flesh, then that means in the resurrection, that we will have carnal and sinful flesh, too. But that's not the case. In the bodily resurrection, we will have new bodies that are after Jesus Christ that will not be tainted by the curse of Adam and the sin nature. For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. All but one. Jesus Christ. Because he was more than just any ordinary man. Jesus was good thru and thru. To the core of His cells. Jesus was good. For Jesus took on our sins within His body and condemned them. Jesus did not take on sins in sinful flesh. Jesus was holy 100%. There was no carnal nature or bad things within Jesus whatsoever. Jesus gave spiritual life. For how can something unclean make something clean? Is Jesus really the spotless Lamb if there were spots of carnal nature within Him?

…26He said to them, "Why are you afraid, you men of little faith?" Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and it became perfectly calm. 27The men were amazed, and said, "What kind of a man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?"

He was a man, that felt like you and me, He just had almighty power that we don't have. He left a strong statement, raising the dead and so forth, also saving the world upon His resurrection. If His Spirit came took on life on earth, and He bumped into the things we did, are you saying Mary's flesh was God ?

No, dear sir. Private interpretation is what you done. You should be ashamed of yourself for saying Jesus had evil or darkness within Him so as for Him to be tempted. I don't think there was any bad or evil in Jesus. Jesus was always Holy and good and brought Light into a dark and dying world. How can Jesus bring Light to dark people if there was darkness within Him?

For how can Jesus be our spotless lamb if he was spotless in having carnal flesh? How can that which is unclean make something clean? See, Jesus was clean. He was the spotless Lamb who took away the sins of the entire world. Having a carnal nature means there is some kind of spot within you. That there is something wrong with you. See, that is why Jesus Christ came. To save us from our sinful ways, our carnal nature that He did not have.

Everyone in here has said he was WITHOUT SIN....WAS ADAM without SIN until HE ATE? YES HE WAS....
Your view is TAINTED dude....TO BE TEMPTED is NOT SIN...TO ACT UPON THAT TEMPTATION IS SIN....wake up and smell the truth as you keep arguing a MOOT POINT.....

JESUS was TEMPTED, ENTICED, TESTED, SCRUTINIZED just as WE ARE and YET HE DID NOT ACT UPON SAID TEMPTATION...and was without SIN...OPEN your eyes dude!

No, He was innocent, by His young age of 12 or so, He was already tripping the scribes out with His knowledge, He made His path, and lived by it, doesn't mean He didn't experience life as we do.

First of all I never said that so now you are adding to my words like the DEVIL did in the garden so...is the truth coming out that you really don't know God? As far as shame...denying the word seems to be your norm..

So which is it...are you lying now or adding to my words as both are indicative of being led by the devil and not the spirit? As I never said anything that you imply by your misleading statement about my stance!

He had flesh Jason, but had His own Spirit, and yes, I would think His earthly experience added unto His Godly soul. He can now relate to men and women, He is the King of Kings for a reason. He's not just a God that sat on the thrown and watched, He came down and lived it successful without blemish, He carries the respect and Honor of ALL THINGS.

Yes, Eve bit of the tree first, and then Adam. However, it wasn't until Adam bit of the tree until both their eyes were opened to being naked and sinful.

Jesus experienced life as we do in the sense that was tempted externally only. Jesus had a physical body with physical needs. But there was no carnal or sinful nature in the body of Jesus because that would suggest there is some kind of darkness within Jesus. Yet Jesus is the Light that shines out the darkness to a dark and dying world. The Scriptures say, there is no darkness in God. Are you saying Jesus had a human spirit in addition to His divine eternal Spirit?
No, But then again, this very teaching was declared heresy in three successive Councils in the 3-4th centuries. Christ's Incarnation was explained, defined as it was always understood from the beginning. My question is why would you even bring out this topic and then not follow the teachings of the Holy Spirit.

Or are you saying that the body has some type of mind of it's own?
Is it a sin nature?
Or is it just a flaw or weakness in the flesh?
Will our flesh always be flawed and weak?
How can Jesus redeem us with imperfect flesh and blood?
In other words, if Christ is supposed to be our spotless Lamb who takes away the sin of the world, then how can Jesus have the spot of sin or wrong desire from his human nature? Can dirt on something get clean with something dirty or does something clean wash away that dirt?
Part if not entirely your problem is that you are being guided by the false teaching of Original Sin.
Our human nature is not evil. The human nature has nothing evil in it. It is fallen, meaning it became mortal. We have a nature that is now subject to decay, corruption and death. We sin because of this parasite known as death. It is US that sins, not the flesh. The flesh causes us to sin easily. Our flesh influences us to sin. Christ did not permit His Human nature to cause Him to sin. He had the ability to sin not. We have the ability to not sin but we cannot do it perfectly. That is the connection between His two natures. His Human nature was in perfect alignment with His Divine. It is not that He could not sin but that He did not sin. Keeping the law perfectly would have been impossible if He could not sin.

Actually, your whole issue here is not about Christ and His Incarnation or dual natures, but the fact that you have this erroneous understanding of Original Sin. It is correct that if man has a sin nature, and is born a sinner, Christ could NEVER save us because He could not become man as we are. He would be something other than we are. It would be some other creature keeping the law perfectly, as well, our mortal nature would never have been resurrected from death. It would not be our nature, but whatever nature this creature you perceive has.

It might behoove you to study on just what the Incarnation of Christ means, and just what is the content of Christ's saving work through that Incarnation. Also, why the theory of Original Sin is unscriptural.

Jesus experienced life as we do in the sense that was tempted externally only. Jesus had a physical body with physical needs. Yet Jesus is the Light that shines out the darkness to a dark and dying world. The Scriptures say, there is no darkness in God. I agree, there wasn't a bad bone in His Body. He still had the world put before Him to deny though Jason, Satan would've made Him, a fake king that all the Jews would've had to bow down to and respect. Jesus said no, with a choice.

He had flesh, but only He could've walked it without sin. He passed all test.. We fail plenty of
