3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

We who are saved do not continue in continual or habitual sin

nor do we work toward our own righteousness

The Holy Spirit works in us both to will and to do His good pleasure.

I try hard not to sin, but the devil constantly tempts me in my mind with wicked thoughts. I have trouble keeping the sabbath, I cannot go to church because I cannot drive a car, my parents don't want to go to church, my dad does not like church because of republican politics, my mom sleeps late in the mornings. I would like to go to church, but it does not seem possible. I watch Rev. Dr. Charles Stanley on tv. I have a bad habit of working on Sunday, the sabbath, I am not sure if Saturday is the sabbath or if Sunday is the sabbath. I know the original sabbath was on Saturday, the seventh day of the week when God rested from creating the world. In the old testament Jews were not allowed to do any work on the sabbath.


Hearing bad language of TV tempts me to think the words or even say them. There is a lot of bad stuff on TV, hard to find anything good. I go into my room to read or watch movies from my dvd collection if my dad is watching something on TV that is sinful, foul, perverted, obscene, blasphemous, etc.

Taking the Lord's name in vain, what I just wrote , is hard. Some times I am tempted to draw things, I want to draw a unicorn but I am afraid it might become like an idol. I have a lot of other stuff to draw and paint, Christian art. Christmas is coming, i have a lot to do.

You are not alone in this, since every genuine Christian is also under attack. Please note what the apostle Peter says:

6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. (1 Peter 5:6-9).

With a sincere attitude like that God will use you, for sure!

Keep walking in prayer the Lord will lead you and guide you into all truth. If we had more sincere folks like you with their hearts right with God there aint no telling what the church could do!

As for the Sabbath, its saturday, but the reason why most churches gather on sunday nowadays is because traditionally its believed Jesus rose on that day, and its the "First day of the week" in the bible.

Exactly. That is why the Anitnomianism that has crept into the churches makes absolutely no sense.

James 1:13-16

Many may disagree or agree with this, but SIN is a choice.
