the abomination of desolation is the cause of sacrifice ceasing. The holy place is rendered unclean.

as for when, 3.5 year after the prince who is to come confirms a covenant with many (many think it is a peace covenant, but it does not say what the covenant is) after this AOD. Then you will see great tribulation such as never been seen before. Also called the time of Jacobs trouble.

Christ has been building the temple for nearly 2000 years.He is the only one pure enough to do so.

Jesus told of many signs of his coming in the Olivet discourse.A temple being built is not one of them.I haven't read of the unbelieving Jews building another temple.

However the dome of the rock is inside the old fortress Antonia. And not inside the temple complex. The temple was/is actually below this complex. The jews do not even get it, as they are worshiping a pagan was as the wall of the complex when it is nit (Jesus said not one stone will be left, Josephus wrote the only thing left standing was the fortress Antonia.. the temple was so destroyed you could not even tell a temple or city was there before.

Meaning the 7-year tribulation starts this year and for pre-tribbers, this is the year you go up to meet Jesus in the clouds. I lived my whole life of 41 years and flip flop from pre-trib/pre-wrath and post-trib. Still don't know. But I'll be ready.

Seems to be a good time line, and seems to be coming, yet remembering no matter, not one will know the day, the time or the year. Only my Father knows that.Yet mathematically makes sense

His armed forces will set up the abomination that causes desolation .
