This hope helps get me through the insanity we face in this life. We will overcome and endure thanks to the power and love of our God!
Amen it is our hope

“Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.”

this part

“Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.”

i like to look for contemporary scripture to explain Before I conclude so if we look at what Jesus was addressing it was that they saw him casting out devils by the Holy Spirit and said “ he’s doing these things by the devils hand beelzebub “

then Jesus says “ blasphemy against the Holy Ghost won’t be forgiven “ see tbey saw what God was doing and saying , but they rejected him and called him a devil and blasphemer they said “ his spirit is evil it’s of Satan “ they were literally slandering and insulting Jesus own spirit of holiness that is the source of life for mankind because they didn’t like that he had power and they didn’t

“And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils.

And he called them unto him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan? And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end. Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme: but he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭3:22-24, 26, 28-29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Which you see the contemporary here the same account but in matthews words rather than marks

“And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David? But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.

And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand: ….

which leads again to his lesson conclusion

…….Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭12:23-25, 31-32‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The point and just my opinion I’m no authority for certain but my opinion is that Jesus is responding to those who said “ Jesus is working miracles by the power of Satan “ they were giving Satan the credit for what God was doing to convince the people to believe in Jesus and be saved

literally this was Israel’s original sin when God delivered them , they made a calf of gold and began worshipping it saying “ this is our god who saved us from Egypt “

now the real God is standing I. Front of then doing miracles raising the dead healing the blind and lame and sick and leperous and they are now saying “ this is the devils work “

I think willful sin of a Christian wouldn’t have part in interpreting this they were willfully out to get Jesus because he had real power and he was fulfilling the prophecies and they didnt want to lose thier power over the people

willful sin to me is when we keep making reasons why it’s okay to keep sinning

“Now I’m a Christian so I don’t need to repent and live upright “ now I believe so I don’t need To obey God “ Jesus died so now any thing I do wrong is already forgiven if I sin a thousand times over I’m already saved and forgiven and will never have to answer for anything i do and say “

this mindset is an reason of why I dont need to stop sinning and obey God

to me if I really think that but. Keep seeing in scripture that I’m dead wrong and I won’t acknolwedge it it’s because I’m willful and deeply wanting to bring my own sins into life with me built in refuse of why I never need to actually do what God says is willful sin in my own belief and wrong belief like that is what keeps us from changing by faith
These are excellent thoughts brother, and I like how you brought more context to the sinning against the Holy Spirit concept.

The religious leaders of Jesus' day just didn't get it, nor did they want to get it. Jesus was a threat to their authority, and because He didn't fit within their neat little religious boxes, they sought to discredit and ultimately kill him.

The miracles He performed were done by the power of the Holy Spirit, and there does appear to be willful sinning involved. The power of God was on full display, yet it was discounted, rationalized, and even attributed to Satan. They were stiff-necked hypocrites for sure.

Think about it, if we have the Holy Spirit living within us, how can we keep sinning? It's an incompatible relationship. Yes, we're going to fall down and even struggle with certain sins for the balance of our lives, but if the Holy Spirit is working in our hearts and minds, transformation is going to happen.

Like Paul, although I will make the best of this life to glorify God and apply His principles to every aspect of my life to the best of my ability, I long for joining the Lord in eternity and putting this "body of death" behind me. The Spirit highlights all those things that are ugly in my heart yet, and as much cleansing that is happening to rid that filth, the real peace and freshness will happen when we join our Lord in His kingdom!

Indeed it’s incompatable but sin requires one to know and understand what it is d that they are commiting it

“Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.”
‭‭James‬ ‭4:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Willful sin is sin we are made aware of refuse to repent of even though we know it’s sin and incompatable with our new identity a Gods children

“in meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; and that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.”
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭2:25-26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

we have to get out of that position first
This also is not an image of a willful sinnner

“For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭7:18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. ( the sinner wills to do good but can’t actually do it )

Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.

For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: but I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭7:19-24‬ ‭

that’s the position of every human d so we need this

“Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”
‭‭John‬ ‭8:31-32, 34, 36‬

all are sinners but some will hear the gospel and repent and begin to change by faith so that en tbey have done something that they know is wrong they will feel it and repent but if we never hear the truth we aren’t going to know it

“For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭7:10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

When we become aware of our sins it’s going to bring guilt and sorrow icy compels us to repent and stop in the future

I love the apostle Paul. It's as simple as that. Here's one of the spiritual giants of the New Testament revealing how even he struggled to the death with our enemy, sin. "O wretched man that I am...". Complete honesty and transparency!

I don’t think Paul’s confessing there regarding his own ongoing behavior but teaching us how it is to be in the flesh what the sinful nature is like and that we need to be delivered from that state of constant conflict between good and evil and how it got in us

“For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. ( the law is good man is not having been corrupted )

For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. ( I agree what I’m doing is wrong and I don’t even want to but I still do it )

For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.

(i want to do what’s right but I can’t figure out how )

For the good that I would I do not:( I want to do good ) but the evil which I would not, that I do. ( but I keep doing the opposite that I don’t want to do )

Now if I do that I would not, ( if it’s not my own Will then ) it is no more I that do it, ( willingly ) but sin that dwelleth in me.

I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.

but I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭7:14-21, 23-24‬ ‭

Paul even tells us how this came to be this corruption in man that has us captive to the law of sin

“For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death. ( because we’re not perfect law demanding perfection or death doesn’t work for us it will always produce a sinners death )

But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.

But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead. For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.( Paul is speaking from adams perspective about what happened after he was given the commandment in Eden that brought death )

And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death. For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me. Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭7:5-12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

When God told Adam not to eat the fruit it was meant to ordained to keep them safe , but Satan used it against them by deception and used it to kill man with gods word saying “ thou shalt not or thou shalt surely die “

My own opinion on chapter seven there isn’t that oaulmos making excuses saying “ when I sin it’s not my fault because sin is in me so the devil made me do it “

But rather he’s explaining the concept policy ke to mankind who all have to overcome the sinful nature that rules mankind

Great commentary, brother. With the help of the Holy Spirit, we will persevere, overcome, and endure until the end of this mortal struggle and warfare we are engaged in on a daily basis!

amen I remember singing the song in church as a child in West Virginia “onward Christian soldiers , marching as to war , with the cross of Jesus going on before Christ the royal master leads his armies on forward into battle until the fight is won “

what i learned is when I would be all about my own deeds being perfect I would always forget about mercy and how to look at others and when I did t pet any attention to what Jesus was saying and only about forgivness by his blood , I forgot about living upright and being accountable for my own actions

But when it all became true I learned about forgivness by his sacrifice and learning righteousness by faith hearing his word and believing it seems to me a solid plan of defense and attack

Sorry my friend. While we rejoice for Karen Anne, those of us still toiling in this fallen world are devastated when our loved ones are no longer here to help support us along the way and make this journey bearable.

Blessings and prayers, Pilgrim. See ya around...
